"This is our Chinese lunch spot. The service is efficient and fast. They aren't the greatest on refilling your drinks or checking on you bit the courses come out pretty quick so if you need something you can ask. I like their sesame chicken and their egg rolls. Nothing special about their interior. They have a lot of seating and a big to go area."
"If you're on the hunt for the most delicious bao buns in town, look no further than Bao'd Up. This place is an absolute gem, and it completely blew me away with its flavor-packed offerings. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff was friendly and the decor is cool. They have touch screens or a cashier to place your order. Now, let's talk about the bao buns. Each one was a masterpiece of soft, pillowy perfection, filled with the most savory, succulent ingredients. The brisket bao was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, I also tried their crispy chicken taco (on an open flat bao) with shredded cabbage & some super good sauce. Not sure the name. It had just the right amount of kick & was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. I got a meal that came with Szechuan fries & a delicious milk tea. You have the option to add boba or other flavors. What really sets Bao'd up apart is the attention to detail. The buns were steamed to perfection, the fillings were generously portioned, and the flavors were spot-on. You can tell that they use high-quality ingredients, and the result is a bao experience that's hard to beat. The pricing is also very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. Whether you're a bao enthusiast or trying them for the first time, you won't be disappointed.Do yourself a favor and make a stop at Bao Paradise. It's a must-visit for anyone who appreciates good food. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu!"

"So this restaurant is located right next-door to the Sign bar. it's right out front, so you cannot miss it. I really liked the ambience because the door, the windows, the patio is open air seating. it's really what this town needs. I ordered their Smashburger. Let me tell you, it's the number one and number two of my best of burgers here in Texas. I think it's a sausage/hamburger Patty. It's very, very good. It doesn't look like much in my photo. It does, however, have a terrific flavor. I couldn't even keep that to myself. Told the server that this was incredible. I am looking upon my next return to try it again. I might have to order two or three.... You know to make sure."
"Its Breakfast Time Chinese Style!Prepare to go simple.Prepare to get full.* * *Chinese Breakfast looks a lot like Chinese Lunch or Chinese Dinner. There are however two key exceptions.a) You don't get a lot of elaborate banquet dishes. Much of what we eat in Chinese restaurants are banquet dishes.b) There is a heavy bias towards starch. If you are going out to get your work done, Then you want to get full. China is not Mexico where there is going to be a long languid lunch.Chinese workdays are long so it may be a while before dinner. So eat up now so you can spend your time doing what you have to do for the rest of the day.Breakfast fare is therefore simple and filling. While all sorts of food could be eaten at breakfast,Starches and carbohydrates come to the fore.Fried Rice.Noodles.Dumplings. (We Americans eat dim sum for lunch and for dinner. So do the Chinese, but dumplings are quintessentially breakfast food.)Congee.Americans don't eat a lot of this, but this is the Chinese answer to oatmeal. It is a good answer. They have other dishes as well if you are not feeling too starchy. But carbohydrates are the order of the day.* * *My wife and I had congee of various persuasions.I personally like a lot of innards in my congee.Pig parts and congee are a combo the way that bacon and eggs are a combo. No pig parts for my congee at Breakfast House.Boo hoo.We had various forms of beans and millet in our congees.Congee with beans is not meant to be a spectacular gourmet dish.It is supposed to fill you up cheaply and get you out the door.See black beans and rice in a Brazilian household. We weren't super excited - but we knew we were getting into that when we ordered those dishes. The tables around us had all sorts of intriguing noodle dishes and soups and dumplings and and and and and.And for that matter there were more exotic things I could have had put into our congee. So my wife and I being boring has little to do with the actual merits of Breakfast House.* * *I am eager to go back. The menu is huge and there are all sorts of intriguing exotic options. One note. When I say Chinese breakfast dishes are meant to be filling,I ain't kidding.Neither my wife nor I could get through the gigantic bowls of congee we were served.Next time, we would think about splitting one order.Or then maybe we wouldn't.Leftover Chinese Food is one of the secret pleasures of life.Load up and bring your take home containers to take the rest of your goodies home for the next day.* * *Thumbs up!"
"Cedar Park is sooooo lucky to have Hmart and the market eatery section added to the neighborhood. I loved the variety of Asian eateries...reminded me of the Hmart near The Colony (Dallas area). I took my time to peruse the variety of dishes and settled on estreet tacos - a fusion of Asian + Mexican inspired tacos! My tastebuds were literally overjoyed by how savory they were. No drinks are sold at the eateries...there is a main bar that serves all the drinks that has to be purchased separately. There is also a stage for live music, probably for Fridays and/or weekends. What an amazing food destination... very different than your typical food court...this is 100x better!"
"Great food, I get the spring rolls , the Thai chicken wings, and the Pa Nang Thai curry. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Been going here for years. Definitely my go-to Thai food place."
"Incredible food! Austin is known for its food scene and this spot tops the list for my wife and me. We had an assortment of skewers, perfectly seasoned and cooked, and two orders of the brussle sprouts. (went back for a 2nd order because they were so freaking good!) We look forward to coming back!"
"September 2024Ordered food for delivery. My 5 stars is for the one sushi roll I had - the Hottie Girl Roll w/side of siracha and eel sauce. This is middle-of-the-road sushi. Nothing mind blowing, but it scratches the itch. I love spicy food so this roll really nailed it for me. The sweet eel sauce offered a great balance to the heat. Would definitely order this again."
"Great food with options for a varity. Get a few plates and share. My child loved the noodles"
"I loved Dim Sum brunch at this beautiful restaurant. While I do miss the traditional carts, the beautiful decor and excellent service made up for tradition. This is a bit fancier than I'm used to for dim sum, so it was perfect for a special occasion. The separate dining rooms provide privacy that our party appreciated. My favorite dishes were: the egg custard (creamy & flakey but not greasy), the soup dumplings, shrimp bar gaw, bbq pork bao, scallion pancake with curry, shrimp and pork shumai, and pineapple cakes. I was less enthusiastic about the sticky rice (I missed the leaves & lacked flavor), baked bbq pork buns (too sweet for me), and pecan shrimp (to mayonnaisey) I highly recommend the jasmine tea, and all the cocktails looked fabulous! Can't wait to return!"
"What a great little gem in Leander. It's delicious to go but also to dine in. It seems to be a family business and we love supporting local. We've tried many menu items and never been disappointed. Servings are large. We'll be back!"
"**First time visitor** Just got home from picking up my online order and was blown away with the food preparation/packaging and flavor! Service was excellent I walked right in to grab my takeout order. Ambiance was clean and relaxing! I had to call the store to give them kudos when I got home, it costs nothing to be nice and restaurants like this deserve the recognition! Thank you Saigon 512, I will definitely be returning!"

I remember when Chinese food was a treat. Prepared with care and exotic. I guess those days long gone. At first I ordered a coke. It wasn't a coke, not Pepsi either. Some weird, sweet, carbonated something. I'll have jasmine tea instead. The wonton soup was heinous. I am guessing they dropped a single wonton from the fridge into hot broth. The wonton was chewy and undercooked, and the whole thing was tepid. The eggroll was ok but clearly not house made. My entree was sweet and sour shrimp. I would guess the shrimp is precooked frozen shrimp, then battered and fried within and inch of its life. So the shrimp was tough and rubbery. The bell pepper and onion tossed in were barely cooked at all. The freshest thing on the menu - crunchy. The whole experience was really a disappointment. And I got indigestion.

Every time I've been to a Bao'd up I've left happy and here was no exception! This has to be the cutest one I've seen so far however! Everything was so clean and the food was delicious as always! The Szechuan fries were so good as always, they were nice and hot and the sauce was so good. Absolutely worth stopping by again when I'm out here

The location is near sign bar. It's very cute and the decorations are lovely. The portion sizes are a little small for what you pay for, but the food is tasty. I got the nam khao, which was good but I wish there was a bit more meat in it. I also liked the ribeye steak skewer. My friend got the lao'd smash burger and she liked it. I would come again for the ambience and for a few light snacks!

Wow, this place feels like it should be in Dallas or Houston because of how authentic it is. You can also tell a lot of Chinese and Taiwanese people feel the same because of how packed it is on a weekend morning. My friend and I ordered quite a bit, and everything was solid. We especially loved the congee, sweet soybean milk, and Chinese donuts. I'd probably skip the beef noodle soup because I'm not a fan of the noodle texture, but the soup broth is especially good with some chili oil. I also would skip the green onion pancakes. They're a bit too fried with not enough flakiness. Portion sizes are great, and food comes out very fast. We also ordered pig ear, and it came on such a huge plate. I love that Austin is growing its Chinese food scene so well! Absolutely a solid choice for Chinese brunch if you're in the mood. I want to try their chive and egg pancakes and fried rice dishes too in the future.

Raku AYCE in Round Rock offers a classic all-you-can-eat (AYCE) experience, though with some surprises that set it apart from the usual buffet-style fare. One pleasant surprise was the inclusion of nigiri, which was quite delicious despite the general expectation of lower-quality sushi in AYCE settings. However, as is typical with many buffets, the sashimi was a bit too rice-heavy, diluting the experience of the fresh fish. Some of the sushi pieces, like the salmon, were unfortunately a letdown, as it was obvious they were dyed, which detracted from the overall quality. If you're a sushi purist, it's best to steer clear of those pieces. The hot food selections were pretty standard for an AYCE buffet, with a few highlights and low points. The sweet and sour chicken, for example, was overcooked and skimpy on the chicken, more batter than meat. On the flip side, the lo mein was well-executed, flavorful, and a comforting option. Oddly, white rice had to be requested, which was a surprising inconvenience for a buffet.A unique offering at Raku is the all-you-can-drink ramune, a pricey Japanese soda that's a fun addition to the menu. It's rare to find such an option in AYCE establishments, so that was a nice touch for those who enjoy this bubbly treat. When it came to desserts, the cake was dry and tasted far from fresh, likely pre-made and left out for too long. But the true star of the menu was without a doubt the crab legs. They were flavorful and worth multiple trips back to the buffet. Unfortunately, the butter served alongside them was cold and congealed, sitting as an unappealing lump next to the otherwise impressive crab legs, which took away from the full enjoyment of the dish.My wife particularly enjoyed the mussels and clams, which were well-prepared and plentiful. The crab rangoon was another hit, fried to crispy perfection and filled with just the right amount of cream cheese. The deep-fried dumplings, however, were a bit lackluster, clearly frozen, and didn't have the fresh, crisp bite you'd hope for.One odd thing we noticed was that the hot pot section looked promising, though we didn't try it ourselves. It's something we might consider next time. The selection of teas and sparkling water was also quite extensive, which was a nice touch for those seeking a variety of beverages. One key tip: go for lunch. The price difference is significant, and it's well worth it if you're looking for value. However, a strange thing happened when we went toward the end of lunch service on a Friday. As they began prepping and setting out fresh dishes for the dinner crowd, we were informed we couldn't access those new items, which left us feeling a bit short-changed.Overall, Raku AYCE has a few highlights, like the nigiri and crab legs, but there are certainly areas where the quality feels typical of the AYCE experience. If you know what to avoid and hit the best dishes, it's worth a visit, especially if you're aiming for the lunch special.

"The food is so good, but I was thrilled last night on a chilly night to see they added udon soup noodles to the menu! It was delicious!I also recommend their brussel sprouts, their beet fries, the avocado buns!PLEASE NOTE: the parking lot closest to the door (directly behind the restaurant) does not service East Side King customers and they booted us and demanded $100 to take the boot off. I really thought we were parked the right place, so just a warning so you don't get screwed."
"Despite Austin being a mecca for foodies, dim sum places are slim pickings in this city. Jade Restaurant will satisfy your dim sum cravings but it isn't comparable to to Dallas or Houston's offerings.I've ordered from both the dimsum and regular menu, I would recommend the following items:- pork and shrimp sui mai : plump, juicy pieces, comes w/4- salt and pepper shrimp: generous portion with a thin batter.- shrimp balls-mapo tofu- dry sauteed green beansOverall, I would order from here again since prices are reasonable and generous portions!"
"Very good take out. Recommend the Pad Thai and the egg rolls, including the veggie ones."
"Soo glad Correa came to Taylor!! We have had a really great experience the two times we have picked up food! I do wish they would hook up with Favor so we could get it delivered!"
"It's important to keep family traditions alive and in my family we get Chinese food on Christmas. We called around 4:30 to confirm that we did not need a reservation as we were only a party of two. They said nope, come on over. We got there around 5 and there was no one at any of the 3 front desk stations so we just kind of milled around until someone saw us, not more than 5 minutes. We were seated by staff with glasses of water and there was a small sign holder with a QR code for ordering through Toast. It was simple to use. After ordering, we waited for about 10 minutes for them to bring out our cans of Coke Zero. I love that they offer Coke Zero, but I expected a glass of ice to be brought with it, not just flexi-straws. This is a sit down establishment that must have been some sort of steakhouse or hibachi grill (honestly, the mix of interior finishes in this place is interesting- lovely wood slanting beam ceilings in the entrance area and where we were seated, but there was a larger dining area with extremely high ceilings, bright lighting, and white painted ornate ceiling tiles.) The tables do have white table cloths, but they were plastic. Not a big deal, just thought it was a sort of place for glasses, especially since it was a holiday. We ordered the pork bbq steamed buns, the pork bbq baked buns, the pork shumai, and the har gow. I also ordered a bowl of egg drop soup. The bbq steam buns, har gow, and shumai all came out together- steaming and smelling wonderful. I will say that the har gow all stuck together and was difficult to pull apart- not really the restaurant's fault as they are chewy buns- just letting anyone out there who is not great with chopsticks to use a fork or be prepared to fight these particular buns apart. The bbq steam buns were a little dry, but overall good. I really enjoyed the pork shumai- it was flavorful and juicy but not too wet, and reasonably priced. They brought the bbq baked buns out about 10 minutes after the rest of our food. This was expected as they tell you on the menu that this particular roll will take longer as it is baked. These were also good, but I would not order if it was just me as whatever is baked on top of them is sweet, but the fillings were moist and had good flavor. Overall, I feel like the dim sum here is solid, good quality, and well priced for what you get. It's not the most amazing dim sum I've ever had, but far from the worst. My spouse really enjoyed everything and said he'd give this five stars but he's also less picky than I am and has only ever had dim sum once before. Now, to my real issue. THEY PUT CORN KERNELS IN THE EGG DROP SOUP. Their egg drop soup was really flavorful. However, the Toast menu doesn't have descriptions or ingredients in the app so I didn't know it would have corn in it. It had lots of chicken, was deliciously aromatic, and was a rich golden color. If they took the corn out, I'd probably come get this soup for lunch at least once a week. Also, it came out of the kitchen super hot and it didn't cool down enough to not scald my mouth on it while we were at the restaurant, but I was able to take it to go. The corn in the soup is literally the reason this is a 4 star review. So overall, this place is good, reasonably priced, has plenty of parking and seating, and the staff is very nice though your interaction with them is limited. I kind of miss the thrill of dim sum carts racing around tables, but QR code ordering is fine if they would add information to the menu/ordering app. We'll be back, but could be coaxed to better dim sum pastures."
"My eggplant dish was standard. Nothing extraordinary but it came to me served piping hot. The eggplant was a tad mushy and it lacked in basil (as I ordered), but it was eggplant, so I was fine.I asked for Jasmine green tea and they gave me a big ol' pot full of it and then refilled my hot water. YAAAAASS...Points for that. The server was very attentive. Almost TOO attentive. I was on a date and wanted a little privacy talking to my handsome fellow but we were interrupted a few too many times. However, on the flip side, I guess that's nothing to be upset about. I'd rather that they be too attentive than lacking in attentiveness altogether. We had the whole dining room to ourselves. I'm pretty sure the staff caught salacious conversation, but it was pretty sweet. And the price of the dishes was way affordable. 3 Stars"
"Update!I came in tonight after a long hiatus and the hostess greeted us very quickly and was a very warm hearted person. I believe their name was Macarena? (Sp) regardless I knew the night was going to be great considering it looked packed and Macarena seated us at the busy bar. They recommended The Business and darn do they have a palette! Delicious and they could work the bar if they work as hard as they do at being the host one day!Fast forward and the bartender named Harrison slung some drinks that would command men to battle. Proper pours and attention to detail on the cocktails.Xiao Mian and some mala chicken square up the meal with those tasty Rangoon!!! OMGSo to the management a few thoughts; consider Macarena as a barmaid since they are going places, Perhaps have them sing more - great vocals, and keep doing what you guys do best!!!Dope ass Chinese at its finest!"
"Loro (original location on South Lamar) has been a staple in my dining-and-drinking-with-friends rotation since they opened back in 2018. They have a massive covered patio, an awesome shareable Tex-Asian fusion menu with something for everyone, and most important of all, they can usually handle a super large party with staggered arrival & departure times, no problemo.Downsides: parking can be difficult, peak hours a bit chaotic, and the counter ordering system can be confusing for the inexperienced. Still worth it? Heck yes!My last visit won me as a forever fan when Loro was able to save my out-of-town visitors from their naively impossible Saturday night itinerary. Friends from Europe and Ohio were in town with their teens who wanted to experience several "peak Texas" moments from their bucket lists. Dinner for 11 at 6:30p with no reservation, someplace near Broken Spoke, getting out in time for 8p two steppin lessons and a Dale Watson show. I feared there was *no* way.We roll up to Loro, seeing that the place is packed. Just in case, I hopped out of the car, waited in line at the host stand, explained our dilemma, and the kind hostess said she'd see what they could do. With a quoted 45 minute wait, we parked & hung out in the overflow chairs by the driveway to await our fate. To our relief, the buzzer rang in 15 minutes and we were all seated together inside. The friends from out of town were thrilled! The Swedes & Buckeyes could not get over how delicious all of the Franklin-ish brisket options were, and the moms in our group loved all of the lighter dishes and craft brews & cocktails. Seeing all of those happy faces around the table: priceless. We made it out just in time to squeeze in a round of Cotton-Eyed Joe before Dale started his set at the Spoke, and Loro's legend now spans the globe."
"The best tofu ever. It was so well done. Very flavorful and made to order. We ordered the sesame sweet and sour tofu bowl. We will be coming here again. The fried rice was so good as well. We were so excited to eat we forgot to take pictures."
"Food was INSANELY fresh and good. So happy this guys in town, ribs were out of this world with flavor and chicken was delicious with the perfect combo of sweet heat. Even the tots were fire. Our family devoured everything. Will be back soon and I'm eyeing the pulled pork next. Love supporting local/family businesses and even better when the food is exceptional.Ps location is a bit hard to find, gotta drive or walk to the far side of the cultural center parallel to 290. There's a back parking lot you can goto as well off the road."
"Really wanted to take a pic, but the food didn't last on the table long. Really tasty and great prices! We had a hot sake, 3 rolls (2 specials) and nigiri. Walked out for $66 after tip. Cool order at the table via app, or order at the counter. I've never had sushi with a little pop of lemon zest but lord almighty I'll crave it from now on!"
"Recommended by our son who lives in Kyle. The Vietnamese dishes were delicious. I went with the grilled pork, shrimp, and egg rolls vermicelli.Dishes arrived quickly and was a generous portion - yay for leftovers!Flavors were good, with no one ingredient overpowering the others.Of course, I suppose you can't review them without mentioning the robot server. Very interesting idea that I haven't seen before!"
"Atmosphere is clean open and inviting. Has a "hole-in-the wall" vibe (yet still clean) WOW THE FOOD IS SO SO SO DELICIOUS. THEY COOK IT TO PERFECTION! Very flavorful, the first bite my daughter too she shouted "oh my! There is NO NEED FOR ANY OF the extra sauces! They made this perfect!" The service is quick and kind, ***the food is a hidden treasure! It came out so quick, nice and fresh and hot! Please try this place THIS IS OUR FIRST time (& it said it's under NEW MANAGEMENT!)"
"My mom and I went on a Saturday afternoon, it wasn't too busy. Which was nice for a casual weekend lunch. We got the Shrimp Dynasty and Garlic beef. + the scallion pancake, and shrimp spring rolls. Nicole was our waitress, who was amazing. She was kind and attentive. She spoke to us like we had been there many times before, Making us feel incredibly welcome. She did an amazing job at providing suggestions on what to eat, as well really delicious wine pairings. The hostess was super nice as well. The whole team who work here are fantastic. The food is super yummy. My biggest regret is not coming to eat in person sooner. As I had only ordered from the sushi menu for delivery. Please stop by! 10/10!"
"I came here twice. The food is amazing (I always get the rice with the honey walnut shrimps and the cheeseburger dumplings)! The place is really cute, especially the patio outside that has an amazing atmosphere at night! The only thing, I would probably make the portions slightly bigger, but it's not a big problem."
"The dumpling soup is really good, but that's about all I would get again. The sesame chicken was not very good, lots of fried and not so much chicken. The beef in the beef and broccoli is very chewy. Rice is okay, kind of buttery. We ordered out, so I can't say anything about the staff or restaurant setting."
"The BEST Chinese food in Austin! I've tried 100 of places in Texas, and the Chinese food has always been abysmal. This place is hands-down, the best. Before ordering, I looked at the yelp pictures and once I noticed the authentic homemade dumplings, I already know it was gonna be good and the food was Outstanding!"
"Sunny day, beautiful weather, and a great time for some Asian infusion and a cocktail. It all paired out perfectly for a small outing at the Domain.I got the Taiwanese popcorn chicken, which was all very flavourful and tasty. What a great location to have a joyful Sunday afternoon. Next time I'll come for lunch or dinner and try more things of the menu. So far, it got me curious enough to come back."
"I don't review often but Shinko was disappointing. - the food looked nothing like the photos. - everything is served in to go containers. Hot food and plastic don't mix well. - the food didn't have much substance. - the food was not so good. I can't say it was bad but just boring. - it feels generic. Bummer-"
"Was in the area and hubby and I ordered take-out from our usual food hall as we returned home from our son's house in Austin. Had the Oyako Rice Bowl and potstickers. They were packaged nicely and food was nice and warm when we received it. We'll be back!"
"Was playing pickleball at Eastside Paddle Club and needed a lunch break. A friend recommended Mam Mam which was nearby.Ordered the Chicken and Rice and wow it was amazing. The chicken was sooooo moist. The green onion and fried onion garnish was excellent. The fish sauce was great. The pickled vegetables was a great complement. It came with a side of chicken broth which was perfect in this cold weather. Will definitely be back as I was between ordering this dish and the fried chicken dish."
"I really enjoyed this Korean grab and go restaurant! The owners were extremely welcoming and gave us some Rice Krispie ube and pumpkin spice treats to go with our meals.. there are hot and cold stations where you choose- I got a traditional bibimbap from the hot section where they posted a nice note saying remember to get the cold veggies from the cold container. I assembled all my dishes in the restaurant and ate it while chatting with the owners. There were tables inside and out to sit and eat or take yours home. They were still in their soft opening stage- can't wait to come back and see what else has been added! Great experience and nice couple running it!"
"Cool spot with great ambiance. All the servers were great and the service was friendly. Food was amazing and everything tasted great. Being fans of the original Bar Peached in Austin, this place did not disappoint. We would definitely visit again and glad they are now close to us."
