Buffet King

Solid 3/5 starsMy dirty little secret is every once in a while I have a craving for cheap, junky food places that many/most people review poorly (eg--The Golden Corral, Taco Bell, any Chinese buffet ever created). I have a saying, "Sometimes the only thing better than great Chinese food is bad Chinese food." It sometimes is a simple joy in life to gorge on carbs and deep fried meats until you need the stretchy pants. This was my first visit to Buffet King and it fit the bill for an affordable dinner ($16) with a wide variety of Americanized Chinese dishes. The food was plentiful and tasted as you would expect from a Chinese buffet. I did appreciate the amount of seafood they had available. The servers were attentive and kept our drinks full and table clear. For what it is, Buffet King is a solid value. It'll be on my list of vices to visit when I get that craving.

The food is good you can literally eat until your hearts content. No pun intended. I've eaten there several times

There was a roach in the dumplings and the food was very stale and tasted old, the sushi tasted very raw service was poor.

There was a black hair in my food after we already started eating and brought it to the workers attention. They told us either we can pay full price for the food or get a full refund and leave.She blamed it on the customers how unprofessional. Also another time, the waitress told us. " no tip I have bills to pay. " I told her no. But me too Lady byee take it up with your boss.

The food was ok but the server was HORRIBLE! When I asked to pay for myself and one other person she raised her voice saying "No one whole check!" There were 5 of us. Again I just wanted to pay for 2 people. She finally came back with my ticket pointing it in my face what was on the ticket. Very rude! Like she wanted to make sure I would pay. So I gave her no tip. I don't tip bad service. She says, in Spanish, to my friend "oh no tip no tip". Very unprofessional. Needless to say never going back there again!

The lady is really disrespectful in front and the food is trash there was a bug in my food so I took it back and the lady said they make mistakes sometimes why is there even a bug in the kitchen to begin with nasty!!!

Food tasted bad,bugs in my food, I never come back. Prices expensive, service no good.

If I could rate it 0 I would y'all. THIS WAS DISGUSTINGAs a connoisseur of crappy Chinese restaurants, I understand that majority or the time my experience is not going to be amazing. This buffet has been on my list for a while as I live around the corner from it and see it on too good to go pretty often. But this was absolutely disgusting y'all. The food was disgusting, one of my favorite items at every Chinese buffet is the green beans - idk why, they are just usually pretty good. The green beans here were COATED with a cloudy, sticky substance that literally made me want to throw up when I tried it, the rest of the food was bland and just gross. The fried dumplings were chewy and tasteless, the broccoli woulda tasted better if they left it alone. I was optimistic about the deserts but the jello was hard and tasteless. The customer service consisted of taking us to the table, getting us drinks, staring at us from the drink/wait staff station, and finally, staring at me while I paid - hoping to get a tip. My momma raised me right so I did tip but it was reluctantly. DO NOT GO THERE just don't y'all

Walked into cops dealing with some people, food was old, a bug in the banana pudding, and flies in the pastries. Just gross but friendly staff.
