3.5 StarsCelebrated BF's dad's birthday dinner here.Drinks were awesome. Empanadas ($6 each) were delicious - all of the flavors we tried were so flavorful (chicken, beef, and spinach).I had a few bites of the spinach canneloni ($23) with Shrimp addition ($17) and they were divine.Gnocchi ($22) with Chicken ($10 addition) was also great, marinara was light and sweet. Also had some of the filet mignon ($38 for 8 oz) and mashed potatoes ($8) - amazing. The prices are HIGH for the portions / quality. ESPECIALLY if you add a protein. They had added TVs to their space which clashes with the "classy steakhouse" vibes. That being said, food was great and it was an overall lovely experience :)

Severely overpriced food. Small salad, small portion of protein, water and server added gratuity. Left hungry and minus $40. Ridiculous

Located inside galleria, with indoor and outdoor seating My husband and I went here for dinner recently and we enjoyed our meal. Not pictured is his churrasco entree. It was a big meal for two since we both ordered an entree. Honestly we could've shared 1 entree from the grill. I liked the beef tenderloin from the mix the most. The mashed potato side is the move... don't skip it! I really enjoyed the wine flight so I could have a different taste with each protein option. They service was great! There was only one staff member waiting on all the tables so I was very impressed! The dessert was just what we needed to end the night. Great presentation and tastes delicious. Our meal, including alcohol cost $125 including tip.

Had to call the Bee Caves Police on the husband owner of the restaurant who aggressively came up to our table, took the receipts off the table as my husband was looking at it and crumpled it up as he said, "No Pay, you go". We were startled and our 9 year granddaughter was scared. We had no idea who he was at first and I had my pepper spray out and ready to deploy in case he threatened us further. Backstory: It took over 30 min to get our terrible tasting empanadas and the kids food/order was forgotten. I asked my husband if we could leave, and he said the woman said it would be "Just one minute", which of course turned into 10, 20 minutes more for the kids to get their meals. Plus we had no utensils with which to eat with. Then they held our credit card hostage and we didn't want to leave without it. There was some confusion about the charges on the receipt to which the wife (owner) wanted to explain and I didn't want to hear her explanation. I just wanted to pay and go. I did say to the wife in a conversational tone that I would be writing a less than favorable review (a thought I should have kept to myself) and I believe that is why the husband came over to our table a few moments later and acted in such a childish and brutish manner. Wife did try to give a half-hearted apology for her husband's behavior, but later outright lied to the police officer falsely stating I was the aggressor. I already anticipated this would probably happen as they told "their side of the story" and indeed, it was not a a truthful reflection of what actually happened. Video did show the male owner grabbing the receipts off of the table as my husband was trying to fill it out and sign it, but there's no audio. And because my husband was not hurt in any way, we can't press charges of any kind. So, the best I can do is write this review, understanding justice often never arrives in this lifetime.Hope this serves as a lesson for that Argentinian male restaurant owner to not behave that way in the future and hope this serves as a warning to others. I'm glad for the experience however, because I learned something more about difficult people and human behavior. If you have a bad feeling about a place or a person, listen to your gut and leave as soon as possible.

Third time eating at Buenos Aires Cafe and it never disappoints. Food and service are excellent! Great place for a quick bite, or even full out dinner. Dessert are delicious, had the dulce del leche cheesecake and loved it. Made fresh!

I was a little less enamored of Buenos Aires Cafe than other reviewers. The night we visited we were admittedly on a tight schedule. The hostess we encountered offered confusing seating options to us, which ultimately came down to seating at a table outside in the cold for dinner or waiting outside in the cold for an inside table for dinner. We chose the latter. When we came inside, we were trying to eat healthy and order salads. We asked our waitress about the salad portions for the small vs. the large salad. While I can't be certain it was an intentional upsell, we were advised to choose the larger salad as a dinner portion. It made sense until we saw a nearby table being served and asked their waitress which size that salad was. She said it was the small, but way more than enough for a reasonable dinner portion. Luckily, we were able to find our waitress and change our order before it was too late.We really didn't exploit their Argentinian menu that night, but I'm somewhat ambivalent about returning. While I'd have no reservations about their food offerings, I'd be more than a little concerned that we might not get clear advice on the menu items and reasonable portion sizes. It's always great to get more food than you bargained for--until you have to make peace with the scale the next morning.

Went a couple of times this month- I haven't been here before. I used to go to the BAC on E. 7th street ages ago so I had always been curious about this location since it's so close to work. I really like this place. For me, the real test when it comes to an Argentine restaurant are the empanadas. Passed with flying colors! Excellent variety of cuisine- great wine selection We've been blessed with great service which to me , is the most important factor

I was asked to go to outside with my service dog when I walked in the door. I told Jojo that the dog was a service dog. Jojo told me I could go in the back room. the restaurant was completely empty. I asked to sit in the main room and was told my dog was too big. I asked why he couldn't tuck under my feet as he is traiNed to do. after much resistance and an extreme attitude from Jojo I choose to not give any money to a place that is so insensitive to customer needs and laws. please thank twice before going here.
