Buck Wild

I'm very disappointed to be writing this review as buck wild was my go-to bar for close to 5 years.Last night I decided to stop by for a bull ride and shot, what buck wild is known for! First off, bull was out of service. Hey, it happens, no worries. However, what I really have an issue with was the staff over charging my friends and myself for drinks.Here's how it went. I ordered 4 pickle shots. These are advertised as $5 each on the giant board behind the staff. I am given said pickle shots, and then given my bill, which reads $37. When I ask the bartender about how the math ain't mathing, he calls me broke and said I should be able to pay for the overcharge. LOL????? After convincing him to charge me the correct amount, I still notice my bill is $4 higher than it should be. (Ya, I'm a stickler. I don't pay for something I'm not getting). He then tells me it's the auto 20% gratuity they add. Hmm... tell me why 5 years I've come to this bar, and never had auto gratuity added? Seems like a pretty shady scam they were doing for Halloween people to get drunk people to double tip.Regardless, I will stay far away from this bar going forward. I do not recommend to anyone who wants an HONEST bar in Austin. Also, stop with this auto gratuity shit, nobody wants to pay double for being handed a single drink.

Someone stole my wallet last night (1/15/25) and tried to use my Business card to charge $247.97 approx 11 pm, which was denied. Then they immediately used my bank card to charge $228.09. I have called to speak to a manager about this but the line goes to a full voicemail. Hopefully I will be contacted about this and the matter can be looked into.

Boozy Milkshakes and a mechanical bull...what more needs to be said? We stumbled here on a freezing night after checking out a few other places and this was by far our favorite of the all. We came on a day when it was 19* out, so the place was pretty empty, which we didn't mind. The large menus on the wall was kinda of intimidating because of how many options there were but by far the best thing we had was their 'Cookie Monster' boozy milkshake. If you like oreo shakes, you'll love this one because it's made with real ice cream and has no alcohol taste whatsoever. The cold weather didn't deter us one bit, we had a couple of em because they were so good. The drinks did take some time to make, so glad we got to experience it when it wasn't busy. I rode my first mechanical bull, and gotta say, I had a lot of fun. Was far from good at it, but enjoyed it regardless. $10 a ride though, pretty steep, and not something I'd do reguarly. The pop a shot was hella fun too, and that's more affordable at $2 a game. If you pay via apple pay, it's a $8.10 charge for 4 games. Definitely a fun bar that I would go back to in the Dirty 6th area. Great place for groups and watching sporting events.

This a drink spot bruh but they got legit like 300 different ones and even make these shakes with liquor. Definitely worth a stop on sixth street if you're in the mood for a unique experience.

A fun place to play some games, ride a mechanical bull, and have a choice of some pretty wild and cheap drinks!My wife and I stopped in here for a quick drink. It was in the middle of the bar night so we weren't sure what to expect. Walking into this place, it was really loud, people were lined up for the mechanical bull, and playing different games throughout the bar. We snagged a spot at the bar and were in awe of the massive menu up on the wall behind the bar. Tons of different dessert drinks, shakes, and other dairy-based boozy cocktails. After a day of drinking and eating, we weren't too keen on trying one of these drinks as it may have churned our stomachs. It was a big bummer though because they all looked great, so we'll have to come back when we're less full!Since we wanted no part of the specialty drinks, our server Hunter, was nice enough to lead us in a different direction of cheap beer or liquor. They had a special going on that night where well drinks were $2 a piece! What a steal! We had a few of those and had some brief conversation with him, because I'm sure we looked "touristy", and bounced out of there too the next bar.Overall, this looked like a great place to spend some time at with a group of friends.

This place is fun! And the drinks are grand and delicious! Good tunes. Right now we are hearing Whiskey For My Men Beer for My Horses with Willie Nelson and Toby Keith. Workers are super fun and friendly and so are the fellow patrons. Good games and a photo booth.

Oh my gosh! What a cool place! We took a break from the Pecan St. Festival to get a frozen drink and a/c. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. The bar is a classic "old Austin" vibe with a bull ride, great mix of all genres of music, millions (okay, not that many but close) of drinks on the menu and fun people to meet. The prices are good, the booze is great and I'm certain we'll visit again. Tip: Be nice. It makes it a great time for everyone.

This is one of the cooler bars of Austin. It has a HUGE menu of drinks, coolers and shakes. Also plenty of arcade games for everyone to have fun. It can get annoying when the crowd rolls in, but there's plenty of space to walk around.

We stumbled across this place on a night out with the goal to ride a mechanical bull. Long story short it was a successful mission. The vibes were good and they played some fun throwback songs! There was no cover charge and the bill was $10 for 2 rides. Super fun time!

The mechanical bull was AWESOME! I would recommend people 18+ to go to this place! The vibes and people were spectacular as well. The bouncer was quite rude tho...
