Bubby’s BBQ

I had been dying to try Bubby's for a long time! My wish was granted when my husband and I visited Smithville on Sunday when Bubby's was open. We got the lean brisket and the jalapeño & cheese sausage. We were asked if we'd like bread, pickles, and onions as well which we did.The brisket was still so moist even though it was lean. It was soooo good! It was just falling apart as we picked it up because it was so tender! The sausage was very cheesy, and I loved that I could even taste the jalapeño unlike many jalapeño sausage I have tried in the past. I loved the way the sausage had a kick, but it wasn't over the top spicy. The sausage was so delicious! The pickle slices had a bit of a sweet taste. The bread was nice and fresh as were the onion slices.The prices for the barbecue are very decent. I was surprised how cheap it costed especially considering how expensive meat is these days and because of how good the quality of the meats were.Bubby's has such a great vibe. The staff are all super nice, and even the owner and the pitmaster came over to us to say hi and to ask how we were enjoying everything. He was a really nice guy!Definitely check out Bubby's as soon as you can! This is one barbecue place you have to try!

Bubby's was at it again today! My in laws came into town from Cali and our tradition is BBQ, we knew immediately Bubby's is where it's at! We got a little bit of everything today, ribs, chicken, sausage, pulled pork, brisket. Double the Mac and Cheese is an absolute must. Corn and chicken have a little kick but man oh man are they worth it. Facebook is doing its thing, the people that came in behind us were from New York! Word is spreading and Bubby's deserves all the attention

OMG! If you love BBQ this is a must try! I had the chopped beef sandwich and could've had a 2nd - and there are know words for the triple Mac and cheese.

Wow bubby's is a small town HIT!!! If you're looking for GREAT bbq check out Bubbys. We were debating on driving an hour to Austin to check out some bigger bbq spots and decided to save gas and stay in Smithsville. Best decision of the day!! Jay is a great guy and chef. Looking forward to seeing Buddy's grow and become the next small town big hitter!!

Absolutely delicious bbq! The brisket was the best I have had! Great sausage. Loved the sauces. Delicious sides. Very friendly service. The ambiance has quality old school energy. is Highly recommend and think it's worth the drive from Austin.
