I absolutely love this brunch place. Initially I was a little bit hesitant to go when I heard it was solely vegetarian food. I do prefer non-veg for the protein. But the variety that this restaurant had in their menu, was amazing. They also had a really good amount of protein options. They served egg, but also tofu scramble as an alternative.I went with a friend and we decided to share two dishes. Starting with an appetizer, we got the pesto app, and it was simply amazing. Then we got to share El Maximo, which is like a build your own breakfast taco with tofu scramble. It was great, but I think I needed more hot sauce with it. The other dish we got was a chickpea Chick'n sandwich, it was vegan, but so so delicious. Very flavorful - I even added some of that pesto from the appetizer into the sandwich, and gobbled it all down.I can't wait to visit again and try more dishes!

I'm happy to share that I have some menu items I enjoy but I still find my experience (service, food) a bit hit or miss. Consistency would move this higher on my list. I've enjoyed their deconstructed enchilada, and I love their queso. The cornbread is a bit dry. The hummus sandwich is really good too. They charge 20% surcharge on all to-go orders.

I recently visited Bouldin Creek Cafe for brunch, and it was a great experience! Everything about this place is amazing from the food and drinks to the ambiance and service.I started with their Purple Cloud, a purple yam coffee, and it was heavenly! Sweet, nutty, and unlike anything I've ever tried before. For food, I ordered their Classic Scramwich (essentially a sandwich), and it was incredible. I also tried one of their noodle entrees, and it was delicious as well. The restaurant itself is super cute, with a charming outdoor seating area that's well-heated and cozy, even in cooler weather. The service was impeccable; the staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had a great experience.

Went here with 3 vegans/vegetarians. The decor and vibes is pretty hippy dippy but nice! I thought the food options were pretty good overall, basically every menu item has egg and tofu options which is great. Was really impressed with the drink selection too, so many yummy cold and hot options! We all really enjoyed what we ordered, good portions and a reasonable price point. Potatoes and soft scramble were really tasty and the veg options were well executed. "Best tofu breakfast scramble i've ever had" was a statement made at the table. Very solid

I cannot say enough good things about this place. My family has eaten here several times and it never disappoints. While we are not vegetarian or vegan, the food here is amazing. The flavor combinations are unmatched. Everything we had was amazing, but I do have to say the Harissa Harvest Hash (the special) was by far the best thing I have ever had. I'm not sure how long they will have the special, so I encourage everyone to go before it is over. This is one that should be placed on the permanent menu. I had it with the tofu scramble and someone else got it with eggs. I could eat this for the rest of my life for every meal!! I shared a bite either everyone at the table and they also loved it! The spicy pesto was also a major hit! My sister always orders the renedict, so if you haven't tried it, it is also wonderful! My least favorite item was the south Austin stir fry. It was really good, so I'm not saying anything bad about it at all. I actually had the leftovers the next day, and the flavors were still perfect! Our waitress was January, and she was awesome. She gave us the recommendation for pretty much everything we ordered, and she was spot on! She was very kind and even took pictures of our group. This restaurant is super cozy and has a great vibe. If you haven't eaten here, you are in for a real treat. If you have eaten here, well, you already know how great it is. I'll be back again soon and look forward to more yummy food!

Came here for brunch with a friend after a multi-year hiatus. Definitely a wait but it was worth it!I could tell they were a bit under-staffed and it took a while to get our order taken but the food was amazing. So fresh, so clean, so healthy, so delicious! I got the Bouldin Omlette with a side of the blueberry griddle cake and a mocha. 10/10 for the food absolutely!!! Such a solid spot to eat in Austin!

This is hands down one of the best vegetarian/vegan restaurants in Austin. And it's a woman owned business :)I have been here a few times and tried the veggie burger and hummus sandwich on my most recent visit, both of which were very tasty. We were celebrating a birthday and our hostess was kind enough to grab us a knife and plates to serve it. Pro tip: There's often a long wait for weekend brunches so I suggest you get on the waitlist through the Yelp app. It gives an accurate estimate of wait times and when you can expect to be seated. Also, they do not seat you until everyone in the group arrives. There's a few parking spots available behind the restaurant, else you can also look for street parking nearby.

TDLR: Bouldin Creek Cafe is phenomenal. This is a must try if you like sandwiches.Landed in Austin and this was the first spot we checked out - it was quite busy at 2 PM, we were looking to grab a quick lunch. We got seated at the bar and the hostess was very friendly. They have a wide selection of drinks and food but we went straight for the mains. We got the veggie royale (they have an award winning veggie patty in this one!) and I got the "kool hummus" sandwich with vegan bacon. My sandwich was SO memorable - their chipotle hummus is so decadent, tangy and just the right amount of spicy. The vegan bacon was also fantastic - crispy, chewy and salty. I got the side slaw and it was quite spicy but good. The patty was so filling and delicious. The hummus sandwich is a must get - absolutely loved it. Will 100% be coming back next time in Austin.

What a cute little spot on 1st street. It's a nice walking neighborhood, lots of stores and restaurants, even a food truck park. Not a lot of good parking. But once you find parking, walk around, get to know the little places along 1st street. Came Sunday for brunch. Around noon. Wait time was about 20 minutes. Not long at all. They have inside and outside dining. It was such a gorgeous day, we sat outside. The outside area is covered. And they do have big fans in the corners hung up high. A lot of great drinks to choose from and delicious meals too. The whole place inside and out smelled so good. I got a mimosas and the garden breakfast. Mimosa was perfect. The meal was scrambled eggs and sliced tomatoes with steamed spinach. Slightly wilted. Perfectly done. And a sliced of lemon to squeeze over the spinach. Which I loved. Nice light breakfast and clean ingredients. I absolutely love this patterned plate! I must have! Because I had such a light breakfast I dove right into that dessert. A blueberry lavender pie with vegan vanilla ice cream. Oh WOW! Did that hit the spot. The lavender was light and just in the background. But that blueberry was bursting with flavor. The ice cream was delicious as well. Such a good meal. And for a first timer, great experience. Our server was so patient. We took a long time to order. And we stayed for so long after our meal. Thank you so much for being so kind.
