Boteco

I was really excited about this place because the food looked so delicious in photos. The picanha was soo delicious, the steak had a somewhat smokey flavor and was super tender with a tangy chimichurri type sauce on top. The cheese empanada was super yummy, it's exactly what it sounds like, just ooey gooey melty cheese in a crispy empanada. The owner was also super friendly and kind!Overall, a very very filling meal and I'm happy I got to try this food truck!

I ordered the Picanha Grelhada from DoorDash and was thoroughly impressed! Good portion size, very tender and flavorful steak, the fried egg had a perfectly runny yolk, and the vinaigrette added a zingy contrast. Thought this was a good price for everything I was getting.

I loved boteco when I went! It's a food truck in a small food truck park on Barton springs road. The food is made quite fresh so you do have to wait but I think it's worth it. The meat in particular is FABULOUS quality. First time i went the workers were friendly and helpful too, and I was full after I ate what I ordered. Definitely planning to go back and try other things at some point~ I drove past it the other day and saw it is still there which made me think of it Still hoping the prices come down a bit, since when I went they were up from even the pics on their site (darn inflation, eh?)

After having this on my Must Try list for the past three years, I was finally able to try Boteco, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the Picanha Grelhada. The steak was cooked medium rare, just the way I like it. It paired perfectly with the fluffy white rice, veggies, farofa, and of course, the fried egg. It was my first time eating farofa, and I enjoyed the added texture (almost couscous-like). The staff was also incredibly friendly! The only thing to note is that the pricing has changed quite heavily. On Yelp, you'll find that many of the menu images show the Picanha Grelhada to be around $14-$16; however, the current price is around $20. Enjoyed the food, but it admittedly is a slightly steep price for the portion size. Overall, a great area with lots of seating and parking available. Would definitely recommend.

I grew up eating Brazilian food. I was excited to have feijoada. Unfortunately they don't make that anymore. I was sad about that and disappointed with the small portions and high prices. I know it's not gonna happen but I wish we could have a real sit down restaurant instead of just a food truck with outside picnic benches as the only seating. Nice to have coxinhas again and the food came out within a decent amount of time.

Everything I've tried here has been absolutely jaw dropping. This should be number one on your list to try in Austin. The food is absolutely incredible and the owner is super kind. Located in the food truck park with parking which is awesome too. There are several other spots but trust me this is it!

Boteco, the Brazilian food truck on Barton Springs was delicious. I ordered the traditional Feijoada because it was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. If Guy orders it, I will too. For the record, I've had Feijoada previously so I'm not just getting what he ordered. Great flavors here and the covered picnic tables between the half dozen food trucks is a great spot to eat. I'll be back!

I ordered on DoorDash so this is just a review for the food. I got the picanha grelhada which has rice, black beans, steak, onions, green onions, egg, and some kind of pickled veggies or radish. Great combination of flavors!

This is not what I expected!!! Never see a Brazilian pastel like this. The Coxinha was over fried and garlic bread steak sandwiches were over cooked also. Brazilian food truck that has no Brazilian working there so could not expect to eat the real deal!

Boteco was absolutely Delicious . The quality of the food was exquisite. I loved the Yuca fries. Fast and efficient the wait time was less than 10 minutes . This is a must try when you are in Austin
