The Good: My omelet was tasty and my hash brown crispy (the way I like them). The space was cute. The Not So Good: The coffee The Ugly: I think they were short staffed but our food didn't appear until we asked for it 45 minutes later. In fairness, they did take a percentage off our check (ergo the 3 stars).

REVIEW FOR DOG MENU ONLY: I've been wanting to try Blue Lacy for a while, and the biggest selling point for me was their menu for dogs! I was excited to give it a shot, but after reading several reviews on multiple occasions, I could only muster ordering meals for my fur kids. Our waitress was super friendly & loved on our dogs!We ordered two dog meals (splitting one between our two small dogs and one for our husky), and they were obsessed. The meal had quinoa, rice, peas, carrots, blueberries, and chicken and devoured every last bite. Unfortunately, I was surprised to find the food cold and not fresh!! While I'm not sure how long Blue Lacy will be around, I really appreciated them taking care of our pups! More places in Austin should follow their lead--this is the only spot in Austin I found that serves food to dogs!

I'd never heard of this place until I discovered it on a stroll around Mueller, and my friend and I decided to give it a try for our weekly Sunday brunch. They serve breakfast all day and the breakfast menu was small, and to my mind pretty run-of-the-mill. It all seemed a bit pricey to me, but I am cheap and still not fully resigned to the fact that even a basic breakfast tends to be $15 these days.I ordered a breakfast bagel. It cost a mere $12, but when my plate arrived, it felt pretty skimpy. It consisted of a plain egg bagel, an egg fried hard (which I dislike, but no one had asked), hashbrowns that were not brown (but they were cooked through and fairly tasty), some smoked Gouda, and two slices of very good bacon. But the kicker, and my friend, and I both laughed about it, was the side of fruit. it was basically a thimble of three blueberries, two small chunks of strawberry, and two very thin slices of pineapple. It seemed ridiculously tiny.My friend was happy with her Breakfast Bowl--perfectly soft-scrambled eggs, more of that good bacon, undercooked hash browns, and a little bit of avocado "crema." The service was friendly but quite slow, even though the place was the opposite of crowded. They validate parking for the nearby McBee parking garage, which was nice.Austin has so many places for brunch. Some of them have very good prices for good food. Some of them have higher prices for exquisite food. Some of them have menu items that are so unusual or so good, you just have to come back. But as my friend and I walked away from Blue Lacey, we agreed that we agreed that although it was pleasant enough, neither of us felt any desire to come back.

Price of beer way too high. $12.45???? The place is surrounded by bars that charge way less. I didnt know it was a hotel bar but even then if i was at that hotel i would go next door or across the street and get 2 beers for that price. Hotel bars are only exprnsive because of concenience when they are located far from other bars etc. Never going back

We visited Blue Lacy for happy hour on a Friday. We were the only ones in the restaurant for a while so it was kind of awkwardly quiet. I ordered the Power Bowl as a vegan option and it was very underwhelming. I had to substitute the Avocado Crema for balsamic vinegar and overall the plate was really lacking flavor. Our server was pleasant and accommodating for dietary restrictions, but was forgetful and our wine bottle took a long time to come out. The happy hour deals were strong, but likely would pick a different spot in Mueller next time.

Currently this place sits at a 2 1/2 star rating which normally would have me steering clear. However, my morbid sense of curiosity got a hold of me thinking that maybe my visit will be better than those one and two star reviews. It's quite apparent they spent some money building this high ceiling modern interior establishment. There's not a lot of street parking available, so you'll probably have to use the parking garage across the way for two dollars an hour. It turns out this place and the Origin Hotel next-door will not validate your parking ticket. We got here during the Monday noon lunch hour rush, and we were the only other couple in the building apart from one person using Wi-Fi in the back. I was surprised that they had such a very limited food menu, although you can order food for your dog. Personally, I think adding dog food to the menu is not exactly a brilliant idea (it conjures all kinds of ideas as to what's going on in the kitchen). We started off with two glasses of water, (no straws and lip prints on rim). I ordered the chocolate shake which came with a nice big straw, but unfortunately it was more like chocolate milk than ice cream and it was $7! I had the Nolan Ryan burger, which comes with one slice of unmelted American cheese and no pickles. It was good, just not amazing. My friend had the fairly salty chicken sandwich. Their fries are actually very tasty. Two things that stand out, they have a full bar with some craft beers along with wine and they actually use real silverware and cloth napkins. Being the only other couple in the place, our service was attentive. At least we can say we didn't fall into the one to two star ranking, but this was not a four or five star experience either. As many other yelpers have already said, there's plenty of other places to try within a short walk of this place, but it works if you're expectations aren't too high. Plenty of photos included to highlight this review.

Came here for a happy drink and snack. I was thrown off by the sprinkles in my glass but they went well with the frose. Texas fries aka chili cheese fries were filling but tasty. My 2nd drink was a tropical one, it was good just a little too sweet. Can't say I would drink more than 1. The ambiance is great for hanging out or having dinner. There were couches and a great patio to chill on once it's cooler.

Excellent food and service. Love the ambiance, laid back but looks like a high end diner. All the staff we interacted with were super cool. Bartenders Michael and Franklin were fun to chat with while they were super attentive to all the guests. Food was on point! Had a $12 ribeye steak special last night (ate it too fast to take a picture, it was awesome) and came back this morning to have the chorizo hash breakfast. Highly recommend! Note that they changed management 2 months ago - ignore the bad reviews posted before then, give them a chance, it'll be worth it!

Great food and bartender, laughably bad service. Very difficult to place an order, we never got our appetizer, the server didn't know anything about the menu. My husband ordered a burger and the server said "wow that's a lot of food for one person", it was awkward. We tried to order more drinks but couldn't find our server, finally we left
