Blind Pig Pub

We walked by this bar a few nights in a row and didn't go in because of the young crowd - and we're not young! But - we were in town when the Lions were playing and trying to find somewhere to watch an afternoon game. They were one of the few places that had them on upstairs, so up we went. I loved the open air environment, it was a beautiful day and the weather was perfect to hang out and watch a game and have a drink. I wanted a draft beef but they don't have taps upstairs, so I had to go downstairs to order a beer from the bar then take it back up. The bartender recommended an amber which hit the spot and it wasn't expensive. We didn't eat so I can't comment on the food. The bathrooms are also downstairs in a weird dark area, not the cleanest, but they're catering to 20/30's, so maybe the bar doesn't care.

Just ok. First bartender was awful and basically ignored us. The place was empty..However her replacement was personable and took care of us.

Quintessentially Austin / open to 6th street, good beer,good prices , rooftop bar ( if you can stand the Texas heat - right now too hot for me ) and good service ! Enjoying an IPA on 6th street

Great music! Upstsirs is open air (hot) but such fun! Great loud plsce with good drinks!

It's a great pub with great vibe. The crowd is somewhere in their 20s-40s, that don't leave the bar not until 1am lol.They have a great live rock band every night . You can enjoy great beers snd cocktails with great music. They also have a pizza bar in the rooftop.The bartenders are very friendly, too.

Quick drink service, big college crowd. Lots of dudes, not so many ladies both times i went over the weekend. The roof was covered, so thats nice. Big TV upstairs as well as some arcade style games. I like that they had big water jugs throughout.There was live music on the ground floor Saturday night. We went right upstairs though.

Most folks know about The Blind Pig Pub as this has been a landmark on the infamous 6th Street in Austin, Texas for over 15 years. I came here a few weeks back with some work peeps while waiting for out table to be ready across the street. We came in on a Monday night so there was not a crowd, and we were easily able to get our drinks and hear ourselves while listening to the live musician. We stayed downstairs but didn't venture to the upstairs patio as it was sweltering out. The bartender was courteous, prompt and mean (in a good way) with a shaker. We stayed and enjoyed our beverages for about 40 minutes. This was definitely a great spot for pre-dinner drinks. Fun fact: There's a photobooth inside and yah bes believe my colleagues and I used it! #supportlocal

My husband is handicapped. They told us we couldn't come to see the band! Second floor no access!! It's federal law!! What a disappointment!

What a wonderful way to finish a visit in Austin, TX!!!! The Blind Pig Pub had live music on the roof top on a Tuesday evening.It was a great blend of country, rock, modern, and classics. The band was Chris Gates and the Black Hats. They were fabulous!!!!!We really enjoyed the atmosphere, the music, the drinks and being on the roof top.

Chill vibe (for 6th St) which I appreciate. Live music downstairs, games and TVs upstairs. I respect that they have a shooting protocol in place. So when there were shots fired outside the staff calmly ushered everyone upstairs, turned up the music and kept the drinks flowing. Lol. Good times.
