Best Dam BBQ Joint

Dam that joint was good For the past couple weeks I've been planning a team gathering for the company I help Manage up in Austin, TX and it finally happened! We stayed at the @hyattplace in Lake Travis/Four Points and chose @bestdambbqjoint to take our group for a celebratory lunch in Texas Hill Country. This joint is the real deal, folks! Nestled on the sprawling oasis that is @planetrockvodka on Lake Travis, Best Dam BBQ is serving up some of the best smokey Texas goodness I've ever had. On top of that, you can enjoy vodka distilled on the property by @planetrockvodka From top to bottom, everything was remarkable, and for good reason. Scott, the property/business owner and Pit-master, could not have been cooler and is absolutely hands-on with his product. His attention and love for what he does most certainly came out in the food! It doesn't hurt that the truck staff could not have been any sweeter. Our group enjoyed a little of everything. Sliced Brisket Sandwiches, Rib Combos, Texas Twinkies, Brisket Quesadillas, Loaded Texas Potatoes, and on and on. The food was truly awesome. But what everyone seem to enjoy the most was just a setting. They was a Calf for the kids to pet, chickens to chance, dogs to play with. Along with swings, a playground, darts, outdoor TVs, and on and on. Just such an awesome place to be. This was a very special visit for our group and I personally was not ready to be so blown away. We could not have picked a better hotel or a more delicious place for lunch. Feeling very grateful and full today. Life is good (Pssst, Scott, I'll see you real soon!)

Cute little spot. Came on a Sunday and there were a few people. Kid friendly with little playground, roaming chickens and fenced in baby bull (born 2021). There's an outdoor bar and indoor bar. I can see the parking lot getting pretty full easily. The drinks are okay. It's a little pricey and but very nice atmosphere. I would definitely come back.

we're there at 4:30 Saturday, January 21, 23. The place was really not busy, our food and drinks were great.. The service needed some improvement. and the music was so loud and horrible that you couldn't hear your self think. I asked for it to be changed or low Lower to no avail. The floor I believe hasn't been swept since last week. Some of the servers looks like they haven't changed clothes ,or have just walked across The border.

Great BBQ, best in the area! Brisket was spot on and the sides were lip smacking good!! Plus there is a miniature bull and a donkey to keep ya company while you wait.....need I say more!

I know it's tough to say this bbq is great or that bbq is better. It seems to be a personal decision, but I think I have found my place. I got the brisket sandwich and 1lb of brisket. I ate the sandwich and realized that I need more, so I ate almost all of the brisket. Wow, talk about good. I will put this place up against any of them.

Average brisket and way too much bark on the brisket. Ribs rub is good but not off the bone. Cute trailer. $ 27/lb for the brisket and $20/lb. for ribs. Somewhat high price point for a truck. Cute truck pod

The brisket taco was super good. Tender and flavorful brisket. Also the quesadilla was great. Didn't try the sides

Stopped by after covid19 was lifted.Gourmet breads are tiny slices and not worth the 3$ a piece.Ordered brisket, and was told they were out. They assured me in 30 minutes they would have one ready, so I waited. When I finally received my order, I took it home to the family. Everyone was disappointed. The meat was chewy, the fat was sinewy. The meat did not fall off the bone, as one would expect for the same pricing as Franklin's bbq. We ended up ordering Domino's and trying to feed it to our golden retriever. After he nearly choked on the second piece we threw it away. There is also supposedly a distillery on site, but don't expect them to serve. This place has been open for a year and had been quoted as visionary in the statesman, yet apparently a TABC license isn't on their business plan. They do have live music, and the folks are very kind. I would recommend this place to listen to music in the afternoon, but be sure to bring your own food and drinks. This place ruined bbq for me. =[

Really enjoy the place before heading to lake Travis. Great brisket, reasonable price great place
