If you're looking for solid Vietnamese food, Bep Co Tham is an excellent choice! We've become regular customers here because the food is consistently amazing, and the staff is so sweet and attentive. They always check in to make sure we have everything we need--especially the young guy who works there, who's super kind.Today, we tried the hu tieu hai san and bo kho, and both dishes were flavorful and absolutely delicious. Co Tham has also started offering these small cakes, and we got the coffee-flavored one--it was the perfect treat to end our meal. Highly recommend this spot!

This place serves the worst seafood Hu Tieu I have ever had. If you're familiar with this dish then you can tell by the photo that the broth is flavorless and the toppings is disappointing. The moment the waiter served me the bowl, I knew I made a huge mistake. I think a bowl of instant ramen has more flavor. The broken rice combo was ok, the meat was decent, but the fish sauce was too sweet. I would give it a 1 star but I have only had the courage to try this place once. I really hope the chef screwed up just this one time.

I love an authentic mom and pop restaurant, and this spot served up delicious, authentic Vietnamese food in the popular Chinatown area in North Austin. I never would have even come across it if it wasn't for my friend who suggested we grab lunch here! Everything was quick, casual, and tasty. Very homemade flair, fresh and hot. Overall I enjoyed what I tried and would definitely revisit!QUICK FACTS:- Parking? Yes, located in the large shopping center with other Asian restaurants!- Reservations? No, very casual walk-in spot.FOOD RATINGS:- Salted egg and pork bao (5/5): These were perfectly steamed and hot and fresh, and the pork was so juicy and flavorful! The salted egg was yummy and went so well. I really enjoyed this!- Wonton egg noodle soup (4/5): Classic clear broth soup with good flavor! Loved the wontons and the noodles. The meat was good, too. Very comforting bowl.

Food: delicious, authentic, and perfectly cooked noodles not over done, not too sweet char siu, fried pork bits (essentially chicharron) on top, with a nice mix-in sauce. Paired with a nice hot soup on the side. The coffee with the foam on top was a perfect dessert/wake-up drink Service: the waiter was very patient, kind, and attentive. He recommended the N5a. Char Siu Egg Noodle w/ Wonton (w/ soup set aside) | Mì Hoành Thánh Xá Xíu KhôAmbiance: not too loud

We grabbed some amazing banh mi and bons to go, and let me tell you, this place was spotless! Our server was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help us. The banh mi we tried was hands down the best we've had in Austin! While it felt a bit different from some of the other incredible banh mi experiences I've had--maybe it was missing a bit of that cold beet or a wider variety--overall, it was absolutely delicious! Can't wait to go back!

The second time I went, had the sticky rice and banh mi and I think this is probably my favorite spot for Banh Mi special combo. Very generous fillings inside the bread. The sticky rice dish was also delicious and full of flavors. I'm a big fan of their home-made pate. Service is always good. They always greet you with a smile. Very casual spot. Will be returning.

We were craving some Vietnamese food so we decided to swing by to because of the high reviews. We were greeted by a server who was very energetic and seated us quickly. I really liked that there was a mirror on one wall because while the sun was setting I was able to get a great view even though I wasn't seated across the windows. We wanted to order banh xeo and rice rolls but unfortunately they had stopped selling those a while ago so we ordered a vermicelli bowl and a banh mi.I loved the banh mi. The bread was so soft, it didn't hurt to bite into it or chew and the pork's temperature was like it came right off the stove. It wasn't what I expected for "grilled pork" but honestly I cannot complain because the sweet sauce that was covering the pork balanced out the hotness of the jalapeño. They didn't hold back at all with the amount of pork that they stuffed into it. The vermicelli bowl had the same pork taste that the banh mi did. There was a nice balance between lean and fatty pork meat. The noodles were thinner and shorter than I expected but the portion size was very big. To top off the meal, we got 2 coconut almond cookies on the house from our very passionate server.

Bep Co Tham is a bit of an unassuming establishment on the corner of the 'old chinatown' plaza. But inside, the restaurant is bright and spacious with a friendly staff. We got the Beef Stew Egg Noodles and the Pork Vermicelli with Egg rolls. The vermicelli was alright--the pork could use a bit of that char flavor. I also find it less favorable that they don't crush up the peanuts and have them on the dish as halves. But that wasn't my dish so you can take that with a grain of salt haha. The star of the show was definitely the beef stew noodles (N10 or N11 on the menu i believe). You can tell there was a lot of love put into making that stew! So much flavor! I enjoyed it lots, but towards the end, it did get a bit salty for me. For several of their noodle dishes you can pick either rice noodle or egg noodles, which is nice.We didn't get to try any of the drinks, but they have an abundance of offerings from fruit and floral teas to fresh sugarcane juice. Will definitely need to try some next time!

I was looking for some healing soup so I decided to stop in here. The waiter was very friendly, polite, and attentive. I asked for his top recommendation and he suggested the banh canh. There's not many places in Austin that offer this soup so I gave it a shot. I was definitely not let down. It was a really good portion and well seasoned. I would've loved it more if it was slightly more seasoned/salty (but maybe that's a personal preference). I also got the sugarcane juice and that was soooo good.

I recently visited this restaurant with my family and decided to give it a try. It's located in the MT Grocery Store Plaza. The restaurant itself is a decent size, with multiple tables for both small and large groups.I ordered the broken rice dish with pork chop and Chinese sausage, along with a regular-sized sugarcane juice. Overall, it wasn't bad. I particularly enjoyed their chili paste, which had the perfect amount of spiciness for me. However, I wish the dish had included shredded pork skin. The Banh Mi was solid, with plenty of filling and a good amount of pâté on the bread. My sister had the Mi Quang and mentioned that it was decent. Overall, this place isn't bad, and I would come back to try other items on the menu.Service was okay. Did have to wait a bit before getting our order maybe because my sister was there first and told them that she still waiting for people to come.
