Bear Creek BBQ

We stopped today and found this hidden gem. Best brisket taco I've ever eaten. Tender, and the toppings (onion, jalapeño and cilantro) were a nice touch. We will be back.

We stopped at Stahlmans for a few things and decided to walk over and give the brisket a try. It was okay, but definitely not amazing. The brisket was tender, but dry and chewy. It also had a unique flavor, like an oak, mesquite or hickory mix?

Best brisket I've ever had. I didn't eat it with sauce because the meat is so good!!!

One of THE BEST bbq spots in Texas. I've been to all kinds of bbq places trying to find the best brisket and it's here at Bear Creek BBQ. The brisket practically melts as you eat it and the beef rib is to die for. This place is literally the prime example of a hole in the wall gem. I take everyone here and they absolutely love it !

Really good BBQ sauce and fresh meat, however, I asked for 1/2 pound of pork ribs and was given what looked like 1/4 pound (two ribs versus 4 ribs) and I was given the fattiest pieces. Only have of the meat was actual meat. The turkey was really great. Not overly salty like some other places I've tried.

Amazingly simple and delicious barbecue. Tried the brisket chili, brisket taco, beef ribs, and most importantly, jalapeño bacon-wrapped poppers. Poppers have brisket inside and thick-cut bacon on the outside, what stroke of genius. The taco was splitting open with juicy brisket. Picnic tables only in sheltered area for seating. The stand is outside of a small specialty goods store (Stahlman's Market) on the way to New Braunfels. Don't miss this place.

The roasted hatch chili stuffed with brisket and wrapped with bacon was one of the most delicious morsels of food I've ever tasted!

Bear Creek Assisted Living, West Windsor, N.J. We had our BBQ Thursday August 9. The setup was perfect. We sat with our friends from our dining room table. Our guests were at the same table. Everybody had a wonderful time! First, came the Watermelon, Feta Salad,.Next, Main entries- family style. Brine Baby Back Ribs, Chicken Kabobs and more! I felt I was in a fancy restaurant with excellent food !! I had the ribs and some Burger Sliders , also Sangria Then assorted desserts came along. The chefs were "Q", and Gino. They did a super job.! The servers were some of the directors and their family. Everyone contributed. Looking forward to next BBQ! Won't happen for another year! Rochelle

Absolutely a hidden gem. Brisket is phenomenal, I crush a brisket sandwich weekly, have great side items too. As good of BBQ as I've had since moving to Texas.

My husband and I love coming by here on Saturdays. My favorite is the pulled pork sandwich and he loves the ribs and the brisket. The jalapeño poppers are so good too!
