Update to the below: the GM/manager called and we had a conversation on what the staff could have done differently. I am confident the GM/Manager who is now back will resolve the shortcomings. I have had excellent service and food in the past and I look forward to heading back to visit the restaurant. I didn't want to leave a scathing review but, managers and GM's can't fix what they are not aware of. Thank you for reaching out and I look forward to a visit soon. I struggled with this review because this restaurant was great, then had major issues then great again with the return of the old GM. With that, this last visit was very disheartening. It was my wife's BD and I had 12 people coming for a surprise party. I specifically stated it was for a surprise party which the hostess spilled the beans. That's ok, not a deal breaker. Then, when they finally put the tables together 20 minutes after our reservation, there was food all over them and I slipped sitting down because there was fruit in the floor. After I asked for them to clean the table, it went downhill from there. The manager was no help and quit frankly would be better off in a non-customer facing management role at a fast food establishment

Really beautiful place, great service! The food menu is hugeeee! And I'm very sad that I only took a picture of my appetizer. I was also able to bring my dog and sit outside It's located right next to the retreat on the hill, and in walking distance. We are outside and the views were amazing

Great views both day and night!! The food was pretty good. I got the crab cake sliders and they were very flavorful. We ordered tea and they brought us a whole pitcher for the table. They do have a happy hour I got the frojito and it was soo good!

I'll start by saying the service is what saved this review, Tammy was our server & they were most excellent. They knew we had never been before so they explained the entire menu for us, which was lovely. We were staying at Retreat on The Hill & saw this was just down the way. We decided to give this place a shot because we were intrigued by the menu. We usually eat family style so we ordered a few appetizers, a salad & a cocktail. We were quite disappointed with the Ahi Tuna Nachos. Instead of being assembled for you everything was separate & the chip to tuna ratio was way off. The popcorn shrimp included unnecessary garnishes (literal popcorn & pickled onion) & the sauce wasn't cohesive to the dish. Espresso Martini's were a little on the sweet side & no coffee beans in sight. The trio was on par with any other chips/queso/salsa you'd find at any other place. The highlight of the night was the Texas Apple Salad; we added chicken for some protein & it was absolutely delicious! All the flavors work together beautifully. We sat inside because it was on the colder side but I'm sure sitting on the patio would be lovely during sunset.

I'm posting this review a little late, but the dinner was so amazing, I figured late was better than never. I got to experience the monthly wine dinner at Bayview restaurant in July. Please note that these dinners are unique each month because the menu aligned to the wines being highlighted. The July wine dinner had samplings from the Ste Michelle Wine Estates. The Bayview restaurant is a wonderful space that suits casual diners as well as date nights. The wine dinner takes over one of the rooms in the restaurant, but it doesn't matter where you sit in the restaurant you have amazing views. In keeping with everyone, enjoying the view outside and having conversations with potential new friends, the table settings were low, but very tasteful. The timing of the wine pours and the food delivery was very well coordinated. it allowed for the wine rep to speak to the wine that we were tasting as the food was being brought in so you really could experience the wine and the dish made to highlight it.I will share a picture of the five course menu served that evening, but note that the item served are not necessarily standard on Bayview regular menu nor for other wine since they are created specifically for the wine being tasted. All of the dishes did a wonderful job of highlighting the wine they were paired with. Each dish was very good and a good size given that there were five courses I have to say that my favorite and that of three of my six table mates was the Branzino. Two of my table mates, who also loved it said that they weren't fans of fish when the plate was set before them, but both of them ate all of it or nearly all of it. The creations of executive chef William Rivera were all absolutely delicious. This is a monthly event for which you can buy tickets/reservations ahead of time. For someone looking for an outstanding experience this is well worth the price and the drive. But given the quality of the food served, I would go out to Bayview with some friends for anything on their menu.

Went for Sunday lunch and got seated inside right away. We were group of 4 and our server was amazing. We tried freedom Rita their special drink which was amazing fresh watermelon and lime juice tequila based drink. We also tried the trio appetizer the queso and guac was good but the salad was too watery and tasted more like crushed tomatoes from a can. We ordered the following:Fish & Chips - it was okay nothing amazing, just your typical fish and chipsTexas Cheesesteak sandwich - this was great except i wish the cheese they used wasn't velveta base cheese.salmon plate - this was good but the portion of salmon for $21 was EXTREMELY SMALL & it was missing some kind of sauce with it. The mango salsa was very little on there.I would say overall the service and ambiance was good but the food was just okay, we may go back to try their dinner menu to see if something truly from dinner menu sticks out.

It's been two years since the last review so it was time for an update. We came here this time in the heat of the summer in August and nobody wants to sit outside in their spacious outdoor seating area because of the heat. Especially since they have no misting fans outside. In the summer, I'd recommend coming around sunset since the sun shines harshly through the windows which have to be shaded. So 8:30-9 pm in Aug is best to escape the blaze. We did get the cold bottle of water, but they still don't believe in dinner rolls. I have to admit I really like their wine list as it is very reasonable and varied. We ordered a bottle of Ridge red blend, which was served at the perfect cellar temperature. I once again ordered the ribeye which was cooked exactly the way I wanted it and I'm sure it was grass fed beef, although it definitely was not prime. My wife ordered the salmon since they were out of snapper and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Keep in mind, pretty much everything here is à la cart. We did have a couple of flies trying to call our table home, but this place is proactive with a fly fan to send them on their way which worked fairly well. For dessert, we opted for the chocolate s'mores cake since they no longer offer the molten lava cake. To be honest, they should bring back the Molten cake, this cake fell short. I did delete a couple of old photographs that were no longer relevant and replaced them with the latest ones. When it's time to settle up, they'll actually bring you an itemized summary to your table before they bring the handheld device. I have to admit that's a really nice touch, as it lets you contemplate the tip. Our service was on point and worthy of a good tip.Overall experience ****1/2. Informative photos included. We'll be back.

Visiting from Vegas with a friend and had reservations. Got there early but was told that it would be another 15 minutes to sit down. Another guest came in and host told him same. He turned and left. Loss of business, I almost did the same. After she sat us there was 8 tables completely open. I made comment to her for waiting with so many tables open. Poor customer service. And then when we were about to order food the waitress said many items not available on the menu. Bad business, need to keep stock on hand. Customer service should be #1 item to train to keep bringing in more guests. From my experience here things are lacking a lot from the owner down. I will not come back to this restaurant and we not recommend to any of my friends here.

We celebrated our anniversary at Bay View and from the moment we walked in we were impressed. An elegant atmosphere with a beautiful waterside view. We started with great cocktails (Old fashioned and a Coconut Daiquiri). We hade the warm crab dip appetizer, and the beet salad. - so good! The dinner meals wer also exceptional- crab stuffed flounder, Brazino seafood special, and salmon to the wedge salad. We finished off with creme brûlée and Mile high carrot cake. Tammy made the evening extra special! We will certainly return!
