Eh this truck is just alright. I had their popular entree set which is a 2-meat special. I had brisket which was a bit dry, their potato salad was a bit too mustardy for me, but their sausage was decent. It ran me about $11 for the whole thing but the portions were pretty big which is a plus. Their bbq sauce was too tangy for me and too gelatinous. It was as if they used a bottle and poured it on top. I guess if you're hungry after partying and have the munchies like we did, then this place will do the work but overall, the bbq is just eh. It's one of the only bbq food trucks open late night so give a shot!

Everything is drowned in sauce whether you ask for it or not....not mentioned anywhere on their menu. The beans were bland ass can be. The potato salad was ok. The brisket was chewy. Seems as though they didn't let it cook lower slow enough to let it break down. I chewed on a piece of it for about a minute and a half and just spit it out because I just could not break it down. Moreover, the dude that served up my plate, I'm pretty sure dripped in ounce or two oh sweat as he hovered over the box. I gave him the benefit of the doubt but once I got what I got, it was a lost cause.

Coming from the Midwest I was excited to try BBQ in the south. Unfortunately, I tried this place. I got the coma plate which pretty much includes everything BBQ on their menu. The brisket was almost all fat. The chicken was dry. Pulled pork was almost a liquid. Ribs are ok if you're coming off a week or not eating. Beans were flavorless without any of the BBQ sauce in them. Potato salad was present - didn't say much but it was present. I really wish I could speak higher of the food but I didn't even want to save the leftovers. With all of this being said, the sausage was actually quite enjoyable. It's the only thing I'd actually buy again

This place is a hidden gem!! It's kind of tucked away in a corner with some other food trucks but I didn't have much trouble finding it. There's outdoor seating with a big TV for entertainment as well(:I got the brisket sandwich and it was SO GOOD. granted, it only came with the bread and brisket and pickles and onions, but honestly, that's all you need. Maybe it was the sauce or the quality of the brisket, but I couldn't stop eating it! It was only $7.50 or something like that so VALUE!!My friend got the ribs plate and that was pretty good too, but the taste kind of gets old after a while... So I would definitely recommend the sandwich. The lady at the register was so nice and patient while we were being indecisive! She answered all of our questions so if you have any, feel free to ask her haha.

I had the pleasure of meeting the owner of this place when he was in LA and was able to enjoy some authentic bbq Texas style. He had a bbq with his family and cooked all of his original dishes. The brisket was so soft and the ribs were so juicy. The bbq sauce he made was just so amazing, I wanted to take some home. I don't know if I will ever get the chance to visit Texas but if I do, I'm definitively paying this restaurant a visit. And if you're in Texas you should too!

Thumbs Up Here!Ok - Bar-B-Q Heaven is a food truck on Red River right near Barbarella within e-z reach of the Mohawk and Sixth Street. It is open till 4 am.If you are coming off of a fantastic night of dancing, music or drinking ... all food quality automatically goes up six stars. Three 7 & 7's and a night of dancing to Icona Pop or Joan Jett and the world is generally perfect anyway. You can eat roofing shingle and it is the greatest thing you have ever had in your life. That said Bar-B-Q Heaven is a genuinely good food truck. The Pulled Pork is my personal favorite. It is saucier and spicier than other versions elsewhere ... but I don't care. Bring on the sauce.Brisket is totally respectable - fatty enough to have decent taste - lean enough not to have your cardiologist order up immediate heart tests and with a good smoke to it.Sausage is not to my taste - but it will be to many Texans. Some people love their sausage coarsely ground and with black pepper to spare. If this is you ... BBQ Heaven has your sausage.Sides are standard and if you told me the beans came out of a can and the potato salad came from HEB I would not disbelieve you.But with a plate full of totally respectable meat - who really cares? Bring on the potato salad and the beans.(They probably got the pickles out of a jar too - rather than making their own. And I don't think they lose a lot of sleep over that fact.)This ain't a trip to Lockhart and it ain't Louie Mueller's but it is damm fine damm respectable Texas Bar-B-Q.And it is right on Red River right when you need it at 2 in the morning and the clubs are closing.BBQ when you need it, where you need it , and perfectly fine.

At Stubbs the other week for a inside show, and went upstairs to get some grub only to find out the kitchen was closed. Then I remembered they took away the counter to make it a sit down place, raised prices, and stopped caring about the quality of the food. I also remembered this bbq trailer two blocks away, so I left stubbs and ventured off. Now I can't remember everything on the menu, but I can tell you that everything was affordable compare to Stubbs (or other downtown bbq), the $4 slice pizza place right by, the $5 hotdog place across the street, or the $10 screwed and chopped cd's always getting pushed on me by i35.Speaking of chopped, I ordered a chopped brisket sandwich which was only $3, and my wife ordered a Chop bbq chicken sandwich also only 3 bucks. For the price this place is hands down the best bbq value in austin. As far as quality goes, one of the best chopped brisket sandwiches i have ever eaten, beat stubbs w a tko in 3 seconds. The staff was very friendly and fast. I will be back often.

I'm not a super bbq connoisseur, but for $19 for 2 meats, 2 sides and bread, i think it's a great deal. Got the brisket and pulled pork and brisket was pretty tasty
