Just discovered this place (thank you Yelp) and apparently the best way to get your food is to order ahead bc I showed up and ordered at the window and it took 25+ minutes bc of all the online orders (which I can appreciate, however sitting outside and being attacked the mosquitos wasn't fun). I decided to order Guang Kua - C6 instead of my usual panang or red curry and it literally tasted the same as red curry? So I was a little confused as to the different name if the taste is the exact same? Either way it was very tasty. I will say though the rice portion was super small and all mushy instead of the usual way jasmine rice is cooked. Also ordered the pad Thai w/ tofu and altho it looked super bland it was pretty flavorful. I'm definitely looking forward to going back and trying some other things but will be sure to order ahead!

It is time for the 5th star. I have been here 13 times, tried many dishes, eaten at their cute tables, eaten in the car, taken food home, and also took home leftovers and reheated it the next day. All passed! They couple who have this tiny food truck are extremely nice and quite obviously know what they are doing. I ALWAYS ask for Thai spicy for any of the dishes to get the endorphins running. If there is not a line, I will hang by the window and watch the vegetables being prepared and the dishes being put together. I have never been disappointed. This is more eastern Thai than Bangkok style that is mimicked so much in the USA. Even while I am eating in other Thai places, Banthai Express keeps coming to my mind. Other places I try to do adjustments such as Thai spicy, but it is usually an epic fail. These people will adjust to anything you wish and even suggest what is the tastiest of the day. They do a thriving take-out business, but what I love is sitting at one of the tables, wiping sweat off my brow and talking to a newbie and making suggestions. There are fancier places, but this is like being back in a working class neighborhood in the flatlands. I have eaten at many Thai places, here and in Thailand, and this reminds me more each time of eating at a bench in a rural Thai market. The lunch specials are well priced and quite filling. Some of the a'la carte items run about $10.00 but you are talking about some serious food. There are other very good places that have Thai food, but this is a great working class style that I so desperately seek. No fruh-fruh lives here. Give it a try.

*** COVID UPDATE:Ordering is easy online but it's a little annoying that there is a $1.50 convenience fee. It applies to your entire order not per item which I guess is nice. What is that 1.50 going towards? Are they making extra money on every order plus a tip? I want to support local but that seems steep and you can only order through the app. Just my covid-19 two cents. I get annoyed at things like that so maybe it's just me. Food was delicious as always. This cute little trailer needs your attention! The sitting areas are great. There are lots of tables if you would like to eat there or just for sitting and waiting for your order. Next time I will just call ahead. I got the lunch special L5. It was great! It was presented nicely. I love that the box is not styrofoam. I will say that I'm disappointed that there was celery in my lunch. Celery was NOT listed as an ingredient. It said ginger, BELL PEPPER and onion. There were A LOT of onions, no bell pepper and they must have substituted celery for bell pepper. I dislike celery. With that being said, that is why I only gave it 4 stars. The flavor was great and the little spring roll was yummy. I will go back again but will make sure I ask for no celery. It was 6.99 lunch special. Great deal!

As someone who places a ton of emphasis on the overall experience, someone who'll even give a favorable review to a place that may not have hit the mark on food but wows you with the aesthetics...this place puts it all on its head.No frills, no show, no unnecessary flair, just damn good food, every time. The trailer is bright yellow and it has an inconspicuous feel. The food is another level. Don't get brave, when they say it's spicy...it'll burn. When they say it's the spiciest they got, your great grandkids will taste it...Their Pad Thai is one of the best in town and their chicken fried rice had enough heat to make it one of the most memorable. Their tea is great but that mango, rice dessert is another thing altogether. I've ordered it every time and keep thinking I'm not supposed to like it but I absolutely love it.Absolutely recommend. Just make sure you're a seasoned spicy food eater.

Good pad thai found here. I recently had the shrimp pad Thai but to be honest although I love shrimp, the regular pad Thai was just as good! In fact so I prefer it over the shrimp pad Thai. The menu has lots of pictures in case you don't know what you're ordering which is a great thing. With the cooler weather dining outside is a real treat. The portions are pretty generous and the people who run it are really friendly!

While disappointed that I can't get pad thai here, because it's not completely vegetarian, I'm really happy we at least tried the curry! The curry was flavored well without being spicy, the thickness was just right, and the tofu/veggies in it tasted so fresh. Their pad see ewe, which they can make completely vegetarian on some days, was good too but my favorite was the red curry we tried! They do have 1-2 tables setup in front of the truck, to add the option of enjoying the food fresh.

The food here was very good. The ordering process wasn't bc it looks like the do online orders but then it says you can't order. So I had to drive to the trailer, and then make the order and wait for the food. It was 1 gal in there working hard and she was nice! Also pro tip... she didn't have credit card payments set up so bring some cash... or the store next to it has an atm you can use. We got dumpling which weren't the best. They seemed kinda stale, coconut curry (yum) a noodle dish w beef, and some Tom kha which was pretty good, it could've had more lemon grass flavor. I would go back here.

Banthai was a pleasant surprise find near Slaughter and Brodie, where I least expected it. On a weekday evening we didn't have much of a crowd there. As we were ordering, we asked about vegetarian choices, and were told that all curries and soups could be made without fish sauce or oyster sauce for vegetarians or vegans. So far so good. Their tom kha soup was excellent and tangy. Gang garee was sweet and panang curry was slightly spicy. The sticky rice and mango was also good. The total was somewhat above what I expected for a food truck at this location, but we were quite happy with the food so it was money well spent. We'll be back.

Just came for lunch, can't beat the 6.99 lunch specials - authentic and fresh with very generous portions. Even came with a hot, crispy spring roll with vermicelli and veggies. Definitely had leftovers. The owners are an adorable couple. Super friendly and treat you like family. A little easy to miss the truck since they're in a parking lot, but just keep an eye out. They've done a great job by setting up a covered patio area. A must try.

We love coming to this little yellow truck on Brodie. It's close to the house, the food is delicious and I appreciate how the lady always remembers our order. Our go-to is the Pad See Ew and Pad Kee Mao. They're soooo delicious. I'm not sure if that's MSG sprinkled on top but nonetheless, it's tasty and fresh. Today I switched it up and got the Tom Yum with a side of sticky rice. I can only imagine it's equally as yummy as everything else has been. They're open every day except Sunday's.
