Bamboo Garden Wok N Grill

I was sooo glad this place was open on Christmas Eve because I was starving. They were suuuuuuper busy because they were the only place open in the area, so the wait was a little long. I had pork egg rolls, phoenix chicken, and fried rice. Everything was delicious and I would definitely try them again! My only complaint was that they forgot to tell me my order was ready so I waited probably 10 mins longer than I needed to. But again, they were super busy with only 2 servers, so I decided to not to make a big deal about it. Overall good experience.

I don't know where to start. Everything is excellent. The owners are husband and wife and you can tell care deeply about their business. The food is the best Chinese we have had since moving to Texas 11 years ago. One of the best the best general chicken you will ever have. It's rare with general to get crispy like that and great sauce and spice. Orange chicken and sweet and sour pork are wonderful. The cream cheese filled Wontons are to die for. Love the curry beef as well. Every time we go we try a new dish and so far love it all.We told the owner how great the food is and she shared it's because her husband is a perfectionist. You can tell that's true and she is as well. She runs the rest of the restaurant and as a result the service is great as well. The only thing that I'd like to see improve is the overall ambiance and seating. I think as the business grows that will likely happen.It's great to have such excellent food in the area. All the locals need to support this family run business. You will not be disappointed.

I think it's expensive for the quality but there really aren't many choices in Lago. However, I like the egg drop soup, the chicken and broccoli, and the chicken fried rice. Always friendly and my food is always piping hot.

Having no other sushi options in Lago, this place is worth a try. We went for the first time and tried the sushi sashimi deluxe which is priced at 64.99. It has 15 pieces of fish ( chef choice) and 8 pieces of sushi (chefs choice). The sashimi pieces are cut thick and are fresh. The rolls that came with the boat one had shrimp in it and was okay the other had soft crab in there and the flavors were just alright but nothing wow. Austin roll $14.95: The roll was decent. The fish was fresh. The spicy tuna was more on the extra whipped textured side.Kong Pao Beef with side of steam rice $14.95 : The rice had no salt which was okay because we added soy sauce. The beef was not chewy, they did just throw cashew on top where usually they do crush it and add to the dish so that your dish gets the cashew flavors as well. The sauce didn't have that authentic Chinese kong Pao Flavor that you would expect. They need toWork on their sauces and perfecting the authentic Chinese food flavor. We also got the Chili Oil Edamame and it was not that good. Was on the oiler side and not in a good way. Given that they are newer to the area the service was great. Our waitress Whitney did an amazing job and was very attentive. Overall, as said before given that we don't have any other Chinese/Sushi restaurant in the area it's worth a try.

Mine & the hubby's go to place (I literally fly here to RYW airport) for THE BEST House Special Beef. Carole & her hubby, John, do an amazing job serving their customers needs & cooking with a passion to please! Leather, the attentive waitress does an incredible job keeping your drinks topped off & ensuring you are well cared for as well. The ambiance is relaxing & the restaurant is very clean. If you enjoy amazingly flavorful & perfectly made Chinese food, with an attentive wait staff, don't walk, RUN (or fly) here! Btw, the sauces are all house made. No fake bottled immatations here- just pure & good homemade recipes all done by John.

Visited again and added more photos today. Employees and owners always very friendly and food is outstanding, we have never had a bad batch of anything, everything is always good which just can't be said of a lot of restaurants. Love this place.

My husband is celiac and it's very hard to find safe gluten free food, let alone Chinese food. Here they can do almost every dish gluten free and it's delicious!!!

We really tried. After two experiences with terrible food shortly after this business changed hands, we decided to give them another chance. It had been several months since our first two visits and we were hungry for Chinese food. We live between Lago Vista and Marble Falls and there are few Asian restaurant choices. I ordered shrimp with garlic sauce, add onions. My wife ordered chicken with mixed veggies which is not on the menu. We also ordered vegetable egg rolls. The egg rolls were awful. The stuffing was slimy and not appetizing. Our server replaced them with pork egg rolls when he noticed we weren't eating them. Nice touch. The pork versions were edible but bland and plain. My wife's dish came without chicken. They quickly fixed that problem. But all the food on her plate was mushy, not the slightly crunchy texture you expect from a proper stir fry. She said it was bland, ate two bites and pushed it away. I tried a bite or two. Very mushy broccoli, snow peas and chicken. I ordered fried rice with my dish. They charge $2 extra for this! It turned out to be the best part of the meal. There were way more shrimp than I expected; unfortunately they were rubbery and absolutely tasteless. I ate two, hoping to find one that was edible, and left a pile of them on my plate. There was no actual garlic in the bland sauce. There were a few pieces of carrot and zucchini and some snow peas, but it was mostly onion which I thought was odd since this dish doesn't normally come with onion. Both dishes had a strange kind of stale aftertaste. I told the lady the shrimp were not good. She responded by saying, "They were good, right?" I know she saw my shrimp-covered plate earlier, but she never commented. The old Wok 'n' Grill was so good. I've prepared many stir fried dishes in my well-seasoned wok. It's not that difficult.

Good to go service and food is pretty good--for Lago Vista especially. Dinning room looks nice but never had table service. Always busy though.

Our first time at bamboo garden. Was great. Hostess was great The food was really good. I give them a 10 star plus. Thank you for a great restaurant .
