I went to B Cooper's probably too close to closing time, but luckily I called ahead to make sure that they still had everything. They picked up immediately and let me know what was available. I was super excited to try the lamb. Upon arrival he let me know that he saved me about half a pound to try. I'm so glad he did! It was delicious. We ordered several options ribs, brisket, sausage, and lamb. The potato salad, spicy slaw, and creamy cole slaw. The brisket was SO moist. The kids loved the sausage. My brother raved over the ribs. Truly a fan of it all. The sides are more vinegar based, but definitely more of a Texas feel. The food truck is tucked away, but just use your nose to follow the smells . Great seating area and room to play for kids as well. I can't wait to try this place again!

Tl;dr: Worth checking out, even if you don't play pickleball! B Cooper rightfully takes its place within the Austin BBQ scene, which is second to none. If you've been to some of the more famous joints (Franklin, Terry Black, KG), you know that waiting in line is just part of the experience. But B Cooper, right now at least, smokes top quality BBQ w/ out spending all day in line. I don't think this will be the case forever, so I suggest heading over soon.I sampled the moist brisket, spare ribs, and lamb. Of those 3, I have to say the lamb stood out! I don't eat much lamb, but this rack had a nice peppery bark, with mild lamb flavor, good fat rendering throughout and extremely tender meat. The brisket was really good as well: great bark, nice smoke ring, the right tenderness (w/ out being mushy), lip-coating rendered fat ... Yum The rib wasn't a highlight, but I still enjoyed eating it even if it was a bit more fatty that I would have preferred. The pickles & 2 sauces were superb as well. Though I will say the "sweet" sauce wasn't sweet, which was a pleasant surprise for me.

This place is fire. We live down the street and had no idea it was located in the Pickleball club. Found out about it via an Offline deal and we're not disappointed. We tried a sampler (turkey, brisket, ribs and sausage) with potato salad. The meat was moist and juicy with three sauce options. Spicy sauce was our fave. We would absolutely get BBQ from here again!

Really great stuff at Blaine's. The picturesque Brisket was on point and cooked to perfection. Not undercooked or overcooked, he nailed it. The spare ribs were terrific, so flavorful and again cooked perfectly. A lot of places overcook their ribs but he got it right and they were neither mushy or tough, just tender and the meat comes off with a gentle tug. Enjoyed the czech style Texas sausage too. Don't forget to try their sauces. The meat is awesome without them but I really liked the tang of all 3 (spicy, vinegar and regular). Blaine's clearly puts great effort into what they do. The trailer might look small and unassuming but the Bbq here is big time!

On my way to the Austin airport, I did a search for good bbq in the area and B Cooper was one of many that popped up. The reason I decided to give them a try is because the others looked like popular, busy restaurants and I didn't have time to wait in a long line.Upon arrival, I realized that they were set up like a food truck off of the side of a road. They actually occupy a large outdoor space where they have their bbq set up and tables/chairs for customers to eat. There were only two other customers there so this is definitely a hidden gem! I ordered the 2 meats for $20 and selected the sausage and brisket, along with the pinto beans (I wasn't sure what side to get and the owner recommended that). Such a great value for the amount of food that I got! The brisket was extremely tender and tasty, as was the sausage. This was definitely one of the best Texas BBQ's that I've had! It came with 3 sauces - sweet, spicy and vinegar. The pinto beans were also amazing. The only drawback to this place is that if you choose to eat there, the flies will try to get a taste of your finger-lickin' food. You just can't avoid them. This is no fault to the owner though, but I just wanted to warn you.Don't pass this place up if you're in the Austin area!

LOCATED IN THE PICKLE-BALL COURT y'all are absolutely sleeping on this place. Almost couldn't find it. So few places where the brisket is the best part, but this placed had awesome brisket, would come back for the brisket alone. Got the 2 meat plate with brisket, sausage, potato salad and beans. It was all good.

A top BBQ in Austin and flying under the radar of influencers right now. Definitely coming back and highly recommend this spot to any barbecue lover!Surprisingly had no line at all on Saturday morning. I imagine it's only a matter of time before it gets one!The owner was a super nice guy. Got the three meat plate and the sausage and baby back ribs are my favorite so far.SausageJuicy, packed with Smokey flavor, light pepper kick.Baby back ribsLow and slow, fall off the bone soft with tasty bark and pink smoked edges.BrisketJuicy, soft and moist brisket with tasty bark. Cooked perfectly. Brisket goes better with the spicy BBQ here to balance the flavor and add some pepper! This was delicious, but it didn't quite have the same flavor kick as the ribs or sausage without sauces. The sweet sauce is flavorful and goes well with all meats, but spicy goes better with brisket.Enjoy extremely tasty Austin BBQ without a wait!

Must try BBQ spot(s) in AustinOn my first trip to Austin, I visited a friend and we did a blind Austin BBQ taste test between three different local restaurants. Terry Blacks, Ironworks, and B cooper. Below is a ranking how they fared, with my favorites ranked in each category. My one caveat is that we got the food to go. If I return I will update my review with how the restaurant stacks up. B cooper - In the local barbecue food competition, I think there were some highs and lows at B Cooper BBQ.In the high category, we have what is undoubtedly the most important part of barbecue food, the sausage and the brisket. I thought the brisket was very tasty and it only came in second place to Terry Blacks. It broke apart nicely and was very juicy. I would be very happy if I got this at a restaurant. The sausage was great and had a bit of a smoky flavor. The lows were the sides. I didn't love the baked beans. There was a weird flavor to them. They weren't dry, because they were suspended in liquid, but I'm not sure what went wrong here. It might have been an over the top artificial smoky flavor and made it not great. Again, this could be due to traveling home with it so I won't take too much away from that. Also, the pickle is not my favorite. It's not crinkle cut like normal pickles, and it felt more like a cucumber that hadn't fully evolved yet.Overall, I would not be disappointed coming back and trying this place. However, I think Terry, Black's and Iron works are the only other places that I outranked B Cooper on my taste test.

I was looking for a new BBQ joint to try out and B Coopers came up in my search, and relatively close to downtown. B Coopers is a food trailer located off of Manor stationed at a Pickle Ball Court, which I found out after roaming the area looking for it. Best parking is on Curtis St. or in the parking lot behind the pickle ball court. It was a one man operation and luckily I was the first customer for the day. The guy is super friendly and got my food to me quickly. I ordered the Texas Trinity and the meat was tender and delicious. My sides were the spicy coleslaw and potato salad. I'm not much of a coleslaw eater but B Coopers' slaw was sweet and tangy, crunchy with a kick of heat. Since B Coopers is a food trailer there's not a whole lot of seating options in the shade. I found a table that was slightly under the shade of a pecan tree, but it was on an incline so I had to keep an eye on my food from rolling off the table.

Gives new meaning to a "hidden gem." Driving in Austin on a rainy evening, Yelp led us to B Cooper BBQ. The address brought us to a pickleball club. Puzzled, I called and Blaine Cooper answered, explaining that, yes, his BBQ trailer is parked on the back side of the racquet club and to drive down the alley to the parking lot. With that info we found a cute setup - the trailer, plus picnic tables with umbrellas. As for the food, it's a WOW. We had the brisket (so tender) and baby back ribs (perfectly smoked) with sides of potato salad (creamy delicious), spicy slaw (vinegary) and pinto beans (smoky baked beans, fantastic). A hidden gem worth the treasure hunt to find.
