Delicious! The best saag I've had in Austin and possibly the best overall. The kadai was spicy, the Tikka masala was in the creamy side, both were also delicious.

* 4.5 stars * Excellent choice for Indian food in South Austin! Run don't walk! Spacious restaurant with plenty of parking in the plaza. Great location off I35. Service was attentive, quick and water was never empty. Biryani was one of the best we've had. Garlic naan came with 4 big pieces - YUM. We saw plenty of to-go orders. Would definitely come again!

Sometimes when you walk into a restaurant that serves a cuisine you're not used to, the waiter makes you feel dumb. This was NOT the case here. When I admitted I wasn't well versed on the food, the waiter asked me a few questions about what kind of meat I liked, what heat level I would enjoy and took the time to explain the sides. It was as educational as it was delicious. I ended up choosing chicken as my protein and asked the waiter to bring me what he would order... and at a spice level that wasn't trying to kill me.And it was extremely delicious. Next time I'll add a little more heat... as I think he went a little easy on me.

By far the worst Indian food I've ever tasted. I ordered the Sambar and there was no lentils in it only vegetables. It lacked flavor so I ordered some traditional Dal and although it had yellow lentils it wasn't any better than the Sambar. It lacked a lot of flavor, it was extremely liquefied. It wasn't thick and none of the food had spices. The basmati rice was bland and dry. The wait service pretty okay, there was this chubby guy that asked us 10 thousand times how we were to the point it made the experience bad because he was bothering us. I asked him for water. He came back to the table with the water in his hands then asked if I needed water. I was thinking, okay this guy must be tired because I just asked for some.I think the food lacks flavor because the main clientele. The food is terrible and if you don't enjoy spice or flavor just blandness definitely come here. Even the gobi Manchurian was awful. I won't be returning and not recommending.Even my African friend kept emphasizing that this was the worst Indian food she has ever tasted.

Food: 4/5 Asiana serves up some great curry and samosas at a decent price. Definitely worth stopping by for lunch since they won't be as busy as they are at dinner.Service: 5/5 They're on top of it here making sure our drinks were always full and explaining the menu well to help us make a decision.Environment: 4/5 Great chairs, but loud music and a bit empty feeling on the inside.

Asiana is a respectable option if one is seeking fresh Indian food in South Austin. Every time we've gone it seems like the dining room was mostly empty, but several people came in and out to pick up their to-go orders. To be fair, every time we visited, it was after lunch time and before dinner time, usually mid-afternoon, so that could explain why there were so few diners. The food though is good and prices are fair. I remember particularly liking their lunch time thali plate which features many of their specialties. It's a great way to sample a new place and their offerings without breaking the bank. Their curries are good and the service was quick and polite. The place has been clean every time we visited. Portions are generous and we ended up with leftovers. Nothing negative to report!I recommend it if you're in the area. This is an Indian place that won't disappoint.

My recent visit to Asiana Indian Cuisine in downtown Austin near the airport left much to be desired, especially regarding the service. We arrived with hopes of enjoying good Indian food, but unfortunately, the service was extremely poor. After ordering samosas for appetizers and dosas for our entree, we waited an unusually long time--about 20-25 minutes--for the samosas to arrive. Despite our inquiries about the status of our food, the staff assured us it would be coming soon, but the wait continued. The staff appeared lethargic and unconcerned, showing little urgency even when we expressed that we were in a hurry. This lack of attentiveness significantly detracted from the dining experience. Regarding the food, while the samosas and dosas were finally served, the quality was just okay. My masala dosa was notably disappointing as it lacked salt in the masala filling, which was a major oversight.

Great Indian spot with good service! We ordered the onion pakoras, butter chicken and chicken biryani and everything had very good flavor. The portions were also huge. I would return for sure. The place also was not very full but there were quite a few takeout orders.

Service was slow. Water was slow. Check was slow. If you're running a but late do not recommend this place. Food was authentic and was worth the wait. Did not like the Sambar since it was too thick. Tomato & Coconut chutneys along with the Gun Powder were amazing. My order:Masala DosaGhee Roast SamosaSalt LassiLoved the Samosa. It was fresh and good. The dosas were perfect! Ghee Roast was crisp to the point.

First time having lunch at Asiana Indian Restaurant. We ordered the dinner for two to share a variety of different dishes, appetizer, and desserts. Each dish was outstanding. The service was quick and informative. I can't pick my favorite dish. They all had wonderful taste profiles and spice usage. I will definitely return to try this restaurant again.
