Anthony's Pizza

Mmmm mmm good! Thin crust, excellent pizza. They have a $10 lunch special: two huge slices of your choice and a drink! Just drive to Hutto and try it. It's worth it.

This was a very difficult reviews because it involves the food and inappropriate staff. It did smell very inviting from the parking lot so wanted to give it a try. It's a local mom and pop establishment from looking from the outside, but was confirmed clearly it was from staff. Not sure where I want to begin. I'll start with the food. I got the lunch special. 1 slice, 3 knots and a drink. They were "short stocked" on drinks so only had 3 choices. Beverage was in a bottle and was not cold. I was told they had no ice either. I got the mushroom and spinach slice. The toppings and sauce were very good however the crust was black and burnt on the bottom so I just picked off the toppings. The same with the garlic knots too. You can see in the photo too. The marinara dipping sauce was cold and was told they do not do warm dipping sauce. I do believe if the pizza and the knots were not burnt, they would have been enjoyable. I am not sure if management reads this but your staff does like you very much. However, you might want to let them know discussing other employees and past employees love lives, jail records, arrest records, making fun of someone's disabilities is not ok in the workplace let alone with customers in the restaurant. I learned wayyyyy too much about the "person" that just got fired and their age and why they were arrested and closing up your restaurant an hour early. I felt extremely uncomfortable having to listen to this!

Pizza crawl no. 14: Got a Margherita pie for takeout. Their 18" pie is a normal sized pie in NY/NJ, not those little 14" pies that many shops around here sell for almost as much money.What I liked: 18" pie = foldable slices; light, super flavorable sauce and mozz; plenty fresh basil.What I didn't like so much: wayyyy too much cheese (I know there can never be enough cheese, right); not enough sauce (there was a layer of cheese on dough but not enough splashes of that great sauce on top of cheese); a tad too oily from cheese; dough was pretty flat and dense, no air from fermentation so edge was somewhat hard) but undercarriage was actually well done.This was a good pie but not sure I'll order again although older parents did enjoy very much.

Former New Yorker, hadn't a New York slice in a long time. Walked in and ordered one simple cheese slice to go. Ate it on the road like a typical New Yorker. Could not believe how good it was! The crust was thin and crisp, and the oil dripping from the bottom. And was told by someone on staff that the water comes from NY, and the recipe has not changed since before the mayor of Hutto took over the business.As I drove home, I struggled to save a piece for my wife to try, but I succeeded. And she was also pleasantly surprised. However, given that she was just in NYC a few days ago, she said it's not as good as the one she tried out there, but if she hadn't tried a slice in NYC recently, she would've said that this one is very good and reminiscent of NYC pizza. This is the first time we come really close. Prior to Anthony's Pizza, we tried Russo's in StoneHill, but this one is much better. Will definitely go back for more, with the family, either to go or eat-in. My only complaint is the price for one simple cheese slice is $4.00 + tax. A legit NYC slice in New York is not selling for $4.00, probably $2.50, but $4.00 is over the top. But if the water truly comes from NY, maybe I could be reasonable.Staff was friendly and informative. The place looked neat and clean.

This was a great experience all around, we found out it is under new ownership and they are doing a great job! the dough was definitely homemade and we really felt like they wanted us to enjoy our meal. If I'm getting pizza im getting it here!

Omgosh ya'll!! The new owners Emmanuel and Marianna are so nice! I have been wanting to find true authentic pizza here, and their pizzas are so good! (They are also from Sicily!)

Oh my gosh, SO GOOD!! Under new management, this place has DEFINITELY had a glow up. Owners are super friendly and knowledgeable- and the pizza is ridiculously good! My husband and I shared the lunch special- super reasonably priced - 2 slices and a soda, and we also got a piece of the fresh out of the oven Sicilian pizza because we couldn't resist. Everything was so good! Actually, so good that I ate most of it before I remembered that I wanted to take a picture for the review We will be regulars here for SURE!

New ownership and the place is AMAZING! The inside of the restaurant is so cute. The owners are FROM Italy so you can taste the authenticity in the food. It was my first time here so I had a little bit of everything on the menu. Prices are very good- good food, good prices! Coming from a New Yorker, the food is 10/10!! Brings me back home:) the owners are so sweet as well.

New owners from Sicily took over this week. I was in heaven with a mini square Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza. The shop also has a lunch special with a slice and freshly made salad (not already boxed) with a drink. This place has a friendly family vibe, and the new owners were super nice. I strongly recommend if you are looking for real Sicilian pizza.

Best pizza around for sure!! Owners were amazing, we will definitely go back. Thanks so much for a great date night.
