Purple rice!Jk it's still great that they give this to you. I tried the spicy pork dish and it was one of the best ones I've had even taking into account Austin's minimal Korean options. Massive portion size and really good banchan. Highly recommend to come here! Parking lot behind is nice too

The food was good, but not spicy at all. We also had really bad service, despite the restaurant not being very busy. The real standout was the lackluster service from our waitress. They forgot to bring us plates, so we had to ask for them. She also remembered to bring us water, but no cups. Then our entrees came, and she forgot to bring us rice or the accompanying sauce for bibimbap. We ordered many things. This is my review of each item:Seafood pancake - really good. 5/5. The seafood portion is generous and the pancake itself was fried very well.Spicy rice cakes - the rice cake they use is really good quality, big, and chewy. However I found the sauce to not be spicy at all, which was disappointing. Combination 2 soondubu (tofu stew) - I got the spice level 8. The meat and seafood mix is very generous, and there is a lot of tofu. I also liked that it came with purple rice. At level 8, it was an appropriate level of spice for me.Partner got the bibimbap. I had a few bites and they use a lot of vegetables to meat ratio, which I liked a lot. The bibimbap is a great portion size and really tasty.

Got more food this time and the service was better! I enjoyed the galbi (I always do!) and the galbitang is so warm and comforting. Skipped the soondubu, and tried all the banchan with the pork bibimbap-everything was fantastic! The dessert is delicious but doesn't have enough injeolmi powder. The ice cream scoop is also a bit lopsided but I was impressed with the matcha brownie. It's my first time having this kind of brownie and I don't think it was on their menu the last time I came.

Not bad for Austin. Plenty of parking. Came on a Friday evening and we waited for about 15 minutes. They have a limited menu but my friend ordered their galbi tang and I got their seafood soondubu soup. Side dishes are good and served with purple rice.

We came for dinner on a Monday night around the holidays in December. There was no wait but it was nearly full.I ordered the Kimchi tofu soup with beef. It was super flavorful with just a level 3 spicy (tolerable to someone who likes some but not much spice). It came with some rice and of course plenty of banchans. I probably could've stopped half way and saved it for later but it was too tasty! The bibimbap was also good, but I did not try too much of it.Each of the banchans were great, I really liked the noodles and potato (?).The potstickers were alright, but I was more tempted by the seafood pancake at the table next to us so would try that next time.Service was quick and the ambiance inside was modern and casual.Overall I would go back if looking for Korean food in central Austin.

Dangerously next door to Korman jewelers - don't get sidetracked by shiny things. Just make your way into this great little restaurant. I've felt that Austin had be lacking a Korean Soon du Boo place and was really excited to find this one (and one not located in the far north part of Austin). Restaurant is clean and the service is so helpful, attentive and nice. We opted for the following:We were offered either water or barley tea (cold/hot) at the beginning, but there are other beverage options available too. Being fans of the barley tea - we stuck with that.- Seafood tofu soup. Oysters, clams and shrimp. Served in a ttukbaegi. I went with a 6/10 spicy and felt that I could have gone a bit spicier. I did crack the egg in and tried to let is sit to cook in the hot soup - but I think the next time I'm just going to stir it in. - Combination tofu soup. Clams, shrimp and beef. Served in a ttukbaegi. 7/10 spicy gives a good kick without going overboard.- Mushroom tofu soup. A mix of mushrooms with tofu. Served in a ttukbaegi. Really nicely balanced flavor too- Baby tofu soup - this one is for the kids - a small metal bowl (not a ttukbaegi). Could have had some meat and mushrooms, but the kiddo opted for mushrooms only.Banchan was served as well - a mix of some different items - kimchi, kongnamul (seasoned bean sprouts), jap chae (glass noodles), gamja jorim (potatoes) and cheonsachae (kelp noodles). We also added an order of galbi (served on a bed of grilled onions) and has some heukmi bap (purple rice) to go with it. We were stuffed and so happy one we finished. Definitely would go back!

Really great first visit to this Korean gem! Went at around 6pm on a Monday and we were seated right away by a very kind and enthusiastic server! While busy, she took the time to explain the menu to us and even gave us some recommendations! We ended up ordering two versions of their stone bowl Bibimbap (just noted as mixed rice on their menu)--the seafood and the beef. While waiting for the main courses, 5 dishes of delicious looking banchan came out. We sampled kimchi, spiced potatoes, kelp noodle slaw, japchae, and blanched bean sprouts. All of these were excellent. The hot and sizzling stone bowls arrived at our table, along with their spicy gochujang sauce. The sound and smell was amazing. The flavors mingled beautifully, and both the beef and seafood was perfectly cooked and tender. It was a ton of food! For $19 each, you can easily get two meals haha. We really loved our time at An Nyeong. By the end of our meal, the restaurant was packed. Clearly there is no secret that this is THE spot if you want delicious Korean food. We will be back :)

One of the best Korean restaurants in Austin! If you like authentic Korean food, then this place is a must-visit.They have a simple menu that focuses on Korean staples including soondubu jiggae (tofu soup), bulgogi/galbi, and seafood pancake. My favorite dish is the soondubu jiggae with beef. You get to customize the spice level for your soup and it also comes with an egg that you can crack straight into the soup. They also serve purple rice here which is more premium than white rice (bonus points for this).I've enjoyed every dish that I've ever ordered here and the quality of the food has always been excellent. The banchan (side dishes) here are great too and they refill the ones you're low on.The staff are also very nice and the service is always on point as expected.Overall 5/5, this is the best Korean spot in Austin.

An Nyeong is a newer korean restaurant on Burnet near the triangle. The korean food scene in Austin isn't the strongest, so I was really excited for this new potential gem. For starters, the banchan here were exceptional. We got to enjoy potatoes, japchae, seaweed salad, bean sprouts, and kimchi. My only critique is that the kimchi was on the fresher side (wasn't very sour yet). For my main dish, I got a bimbimbap (seafood and vegetables in stone rice bowl). I thought this was delicious. The ratio of rice to seafood to vegetables was perfect. The bimbimbap sauce paired well to create a complete meal. The crispy rice at the bottom of the bowl was seasoned and deliciously crisp when mixed in with the toppings. To nail in how good I was, I licked my bowl completely clean. My table also shared a seafood pancake. It featured a lot of seafood and was perfectly crisped. They also cut the seafood pancake into tavern pizza style, which is unique compared to other korean places. Our server was really nice and made our overall experience quite enjoyable.

An Nyeong stands out in Austin, where the korean food scene is not very strong. There are many korean fusions around here, but not many places where you can get just a solid soondubu, bimbimbap, or seafood pancakes. I saw some reviews that said that in Austin, An Nyeong is a 5 star, but in the grand scheme of things, An Nyeong is closer to a 4 star. I cannot agree more, so out of integrity, I am giving this place a 4 star. Before the meal begins, like most korean restaurants, you are greeted with a table of banchan. These korean sides were some of the better banchan i've had. I especially enjoyed the potatoes and the japchae. The seaweed salad was also incredibly fresh. For our appetizer, we ordered the seafood pancake. This was also one of the better pancakes i've had. It was filled with seafood (not like some other places who might skimp out on the protein). The exterior was perfectly crisped and the sauce that paired with the pancake was nice and tangy. Overall, very delicious. For my main, I ordered the combo tofu soup. I've had many good tofu soups in my life; this one ranks around average to slightly above average on my spectrum. The soup base did not have much depth to it- it kind of tasted like a one dimensional broth with spicy korean red pepper flakes as a separate layer that didn't integrate well into the overall dish. It was filled with soft tofu and good fillings though! My friends really enjoyed their bimbimbaps (rice plates), so I may opt for that next time. Our experience here overall was very pleasant. The interior was very clean and well decorated. I actually made a mental note of how good our server was as well- she was very attentive to our table. Side note- they have free barley tea! May have to ask for it, but the tea helps to refresh your palette and is very delicious.
