After finishing dinner at Lucky Robot next door, we were on the hunt for something sweet to cap off our meal. Enter Amy's Ice Creams--a little window serving up some seriously delicious ice cream!I'm a huge fan of chunky ice cream, and Amy's does not disappoint. I went for the Chocoberry, which has a delightfully light strawberry flavor with a gelato-like texture and is packed with giant fudge chunks. It was heavenly! I got a tiny scoop (just $5.88), and it was the perfect size for me.My boyfriend chose the Mexican vanilla with cookie dough mixed in, and I was pleasantly surprised to see them grab a big scoop of cookie dough and chop it right into the ice cream--just like Cold Stone! It was such a fun touch and insured chunky ice cream.Overall, it was the perfect way to finish off our night. The staff were super cheerful and wonderful, adding to the delightful experience. If you're in the area, definitely stop by Amy's for a sweet treat!

Stumbled across Amy's while walking on Congress Ave. The line was long and they have dairy free options so I was excited to try. We didn't have to wait too long as they have a good flow. Order at one window and pickup around the corner. I went with vegan Mexican vanilla since Mexican vanilla, Mexican hot chocolate, etc. seems to be popular in ATX. I enjoyed my ice cream, although it was hard not to compare to the popular chain across the street :) and the staff was very friendly. We sat on a bench outside and enjoyed our treat... but beware - the benches are very low.

Amy's Ice Creams is a staple in Austin, TX and a definite must-try! They have so many flavors and toppings to choose from. Located in the SoCo area of Austin, they are a small shop with window-ordering. Depending on the day and/or time, there could be a line. But it moves pretty quickly and the staff helps keep it going. They give you suggestions if you're unsure what you want or a first timer, and it's a great experience!

I heard that Amy's was a must try when visiting Austin so that's exactly what I did. The Oreo ice cream was great and the whipped cream on top was light and delicious. I loved the look of the shop and the staff was super helpful and kind. They explained all the flavors I had questions on before settling on one of the most popular, self explanatory one.

Good local ice cream shop that's very popular. Definitely try the Mexican vanilla or anything that has the Mexican vanilla, which is one of the specialties. Very friendly service but a little slow in getting through the line. I tried the Belgian chocolate too it was good.

While walking around Austin, came by Amy's Ice Cream and had heard it was a place to try if you're in the mood for a cold fix. And when is ice cream ever a bad idea outside of those who are lactose intolerant? So we decided to grab a cupBefore coming, I had read that their Mexican Vanilla was the flavor to try, and that is exactly what I did. So my question was, what makes it a Mexican Vanilla? Well, when you put it in your mouth, you definitely notice it isn't like any other vanilla you've had, but it is also somewhat familiar in a "have we met before?" kind of way. It's almost like a vanilla bean with a Madagascar vanilla mixed together, but also with a hint of something else. It is familiar yet unique and I was into it. Also true the coffee flavor which has a rich coffee taste that comes through with each bite It's always nice when you have the opportunity to try something unique that you haven't had anywhere else, and that Mexican Vanilla ice cream hit the spot. If you're in the area in Austin, and want some ice cream, head over to Amy's and get yourself a cup

The staff were friendly and helped with samples and recommendations.I got the smoothie and it was ok. It is a bit pricey though

Was recommended to try this place while I was in town. Got their bourbon flavor and it was hands down the best bourbon ice cream I've ever had. Flavor was delectable and the texture was perfectly thick and creamy. Wish I lived closer

Ice cream perfection. Sugar cone serving of Belgian chocolate rolled in almonds was amazing and just enough. Mexican vanilla was super and enjoyed by our group.

What do you do when you have a hankering for ice cream in Austin? You go to Amy's and make a creation. I went with a friend recently close to closing time, on a Sunday night and the line was still pretty lengthy. I can't imagine what it's like on a warm/hot Friday or Saturday night. Anyhoo, the line moved pretty quickly and the staff at the windows were fun and engaging. They made suggestions and helped narrow down flavors and toppings. It's like a smaller Cold Stone but with some different toppings and flavors. I made a cup with pecan pralines, Biscoff cookie crumbles and graham crackers in Sweet Cream ice cream. A smidge pricy but decadently delicious. I couldn't make a habit of visiting because I'd go overboard but it was definitely worth a random visit for a treat.
