Alzer's BBQ

Have you eaten bbq that is so great that you forget to take pictures of the food before you eat it. This happened to me today!? I went to the Gold's gym holiday party where Alzer's was served (brisket, sausage and turkey with green beans, Mac and cheese, beans, potato salad, and cream corn). All the bbq was flavorful and super moist. I'm a devout non-beef eater! The brisket was visually appealing so, I got lured into trying it. OMG it was good, I had seconds! The turkey was a convergence of moist and flavorful. The sausage was just ok.Note, to the sides - cream corn (buttery sweet), Mac n cheese (soft and oooy gooey God), beans (sweet and tangy) potato salad (real potatoe creamy explosion) & green beans (crunchy).Since I was at a holiday party no service was rendered. The price was great...free!! We ate at the gum so only sweat vibes.I definitely try Alzer's on another occasion.

It appears you don't need to have a Michelin star to make great BBQ. Alzer's brisket is extremely tender and juicy! Their beans are not the typical beans many restaurants serve; not overly spicy, but full of flavor. The service is prompt and friendly. Definitely on my list for BBQ!

Stopped in this evening around 5:00p for takeout. Ordered brisket with beans and mac & cheese. I'm one of those people who loves bbq but also appreciates good side dishes. I'm looking forward to all of it but I open the bag and there's no mac & cheese. So disappointing. Nope, I'm not going back and that's a loss for both of us because the brisket was awesome. Regretting that $2 to go tip.

Came here based on the great reviews - coming back for the great food!!Clean and bright with friendly staff - and the smell of smoked meat - YUMMY!

My boyfriend and I stopped in to grab some BBQ to go. We got sausage, brisket, and potato salad. The bbq was delicious and tender. Melt in your mouth delicious! The waiter at the counter was friendly and offered pickles and onions. We took our order to go but will eat in next time because we liked the seating there and the two big screen tvs in the dining area. The restaurant was clean and neat. Great place for family dining.

First time trying this place since we were just visiting Austin. Tried a bunch of things on the menu including the ribs, quail, rack of lamb. corn, green beans and potatoes. Pretty much everything was delicious especially the green beans! There was like some kind of lemon flavor to it which really made a difference to boring old green beans. I wasn't too impressed with the quail as I felt it was a little over-done but everything else was oh so satisfying. Will definitely be back! Maybe next time I'll try the chicken. Oh and the place is fully halal too, owners are Jordanian. Great service and very friendly folks who really care about making sure their customers are happy. I always like to support local businesses!

Love this halal bbq place. Every time I come to Austin this is a must for me. Tried 2lbs of brisket...2lbs of beef ribs -meaty & not fatty. 2lbs of lamb chops-medium well1/2 lb of jalapeño beef sausage1/2 lb of jalapeño lamb sausage1 whole chicken cooked well1 order of quail.

Fast and friendly service. Foods were so good. I definitely go again soon to get their brisket.

I came here because of the glowing reviews but left disappointed. While I didn't try the brisket, I did sample the chicken and two kinds of sausages, enough to know that these guys don't know what they are doing. The chicken was dry and was prepared amateurishly, and the beef sausage lacked flavor. The lamb sausage was tasty, but it didn't match the photo on their site--rather than being served in a tightly wrapped tortilla as a pig in a blanket, it came just inside a tortilla, which doesn't really add much. I probably won't return.
