Had a brief visit a couple weeks ago. The meat pies were delish! And the the owner was very friendly. He allowed my young daughter and I to use the bathroom.

My husband and I happened to be in the area running an errand when we stumbled upon this African/Caribbean market, so we decided to check it out. My husband loves to cook so he was curious to see what he could find. They had a variety of things throughout the store from breads, flours, drinks, spices, palm oil and different mixes for anything African or Caribbean. My husband did find a small bottle of sauce for his next dish. The store could have been kept nicer I felt like and the employee working could have been friendlier as well. Overall if you are looking for any special ingredients for your African or Caribbean dishes then this is the place to come. It is always nice to have this type specialty store around.

So .. cooking and I love small ethnic markets. I saw this place while out running some errands knew right away I had to check it out. I make an excellent Jerk Chicken and I am always on the look out for Caribbean spices. The sign on the door said they open at 10:00:AM, I tried to go in the store at 10:15 but they weren't open. No big deal though, I decided to finish running my errand and come back. I came back around 10:45 and they were indeed open! The space is small and there are only about 4 isles, there is a whole lot of Goya products here that you can get at HEB and in fact there were only a few items I didn't feel like I couldn't just pick up at Fiesta. I would say their biggest boon is the palm oil selection. They have just about every type of Palm oil you can imagine. I give them mad props for that. I found a scotch bonnet sauce I wanted to buy it was only 3 bucks and when I got to the counter the guy wouldn't take my debit card unless I spent 10 bucks. Luckily enough I had cash and paid and left. I didn't have an amazing experience here and I feel like the selection here could be a bit better. If you need any specialty palm oil however this is your stop!

This place is horrible. The owner is rude and just nasty. They apparently have a $10 minimum on cards but there's no where that states that. they'd rather lose business than let customers purchase one item. Ridiculous

This store was very unorganized with a very small selection of Caribbean foods/ingredients. The owner, Walter is very rude with no customer service at all. He wouldn't let me make a purchase with my card unless it was for $10 or more, telling me to go get cash then come back. I will not be back.

Great place to shop for ethnic foods. You can find most if not all African and Caribbean foods such as yam, fish, goat meat, egusi, bread, ginger beer, etc.

This a very good store to shop for African grocery/ food items. The owner, Mr. Water, is a lay back kind of man so some people sometimes mistake his attitude as being rude or not customer friendly. He is not like what you would consider as a "typical convenient store owner" who greets you as soon as you walk into the store, then kept asking you "may i help" or trying to get you to buy more than you wanted to. Some of these convenient store owners do not trust you and are indirectly/constantly asking yo "may i help you" as a way to let you know "you are being watched". Walter is very trusting, and very supportive of our African community in various ways. He is a great person, and non-judgmental.Kisco

Walter, the man often at the checkout register, has a very nasty attitude. I go to this store about once a month for over two years and I've never felt any good vibe from Walter, even when I greet him or ask for things(like Titus fish) I cannot get myself.Walter has a bitter attitude and I strongly doubt I'll ever patronize this store again.
