After joining a pool league, I came into zoosters with an expectation of something similar to felt. It was far from it. The place is smaller but makes the most out of its space. The tables aren't too close to each other but I think the best part is the bartenders. Every league day, the place is packed yet, they take the time to remember your face and what you like to order. All the while, maintaining a friendly attitude in the midst of what seems like chaos at times. Being in here feels like hanging out with a bunch of family more than it does feeling like you're a customer in a business.

Some of the best tables in Denver! The bartenders are on top of their game, never had a problem getting anything I want. Nice happy hour deals.

This place is amazing. The staff is always kind and helpful. Abby and Karen do an amazing job as well as the rest of the bartenders/staff. There is a TON of pool tables and even the league/regulars are kind and always willing to help. Best place to play some pool or just grab a beer!

We popped in on a whim to get a beer. The bartenders were friendly and quick to serve. It must have been league night because all the tables were full and everyone looked very skilled. They had TVs with sports on if pool isn't your thing.

The place is a pool hall, no joke! We stopped by on a Friday after hitting up a few local craft breweries. This place was jumpin'! You can tell from the subtle vibes that it's a hyper-locals only kind of place...hint #1: one bartender ignored us for about 5 minutes. When we were finally served, the beers were cold and cheap. Hint #2 on the locals thing...they had a box of m&ms in a lock box, friend asks why (sarcastically, of course), and bartender shrugs him off to chat with the regulars ...not a bad thing, just a subtle cue that you're not 'in'.If we go back it'll certainly be on a not so busy day!

Came here not too long ago to watch the three time world champ Johnny Archer play. All of the employees were kind and even introduced themselves to me. Great pool tables here, they keep the balls polished, and the environment friendly. Cool place!

This bar is very cliquey... very difficult to strike up a conversation with anyone. Not a friendly welcoming place!

Stopped by last night to play pool league matches and our other team didn't show up. Since we drove all the way there we decide we wanted to practice. I asked the bartender if we could rent the two tables (we would normally use to play our matches on) by the hour for four players and he told me, "Hold on cause I had someone call asking if tables were available." I have rented a table before there by the hour. It was strange he neglected business standing in front of him for business that "might" come in. Very odd experience indeed. Ended up leaving and taking our business elsewhere. In fairness they usually have very good service but last night I felt like our business was not valued and or respected.

Paying outrages prices for pool! Over charging and it's $8 per person, per hour! $60 for pool for 4 hours, not ok! Don't charge the NON POOL LEAUGE more cause your POOL LEAUGE don't drink or get anything but water. No thank you! Then my bill is with the pool price and expect me to tip 20% on that, absolutely not! The bartender that wears a kilt is friendly but never leaves the bar! Worst pool bar I have ever been to. I'm a bartender of 15 years and never have I ever paid that much for pool and non service!

I just read the reviews and was astonished at some of the negative comments. I have to wonder if they've ever actually been there. I've been to Zooster's quite a few times and consider it my favorite pool hall that I've ever found... and I've been playing pool for over fifty years and lived in many different cities. Yes, they are busy! Hosting leagues and tournaments most nights (a great Sat. night open tournament), this pool hall has more activity than any I've seen, but that's one of the things I love about it (that... and some of the best players that I've ever seen (other than professional) play there. Instead of this being a negative, it is an indication that people who like to play pool like this place! I've always been treated well and can't think of anything I'd complain about. One of the nicest people I've ever met is the owner, Dan Garcia. So if you're a player, check it out, I don't think you'll be disappointed!Dan Bratcher
