Zapata Mexican Taco Shop

First things first, we got takeout, so we cannot speak to the actual service, but the interaction we had with the fellow at the counter was quick and efficient. The store inside was cute. The food was excellent. We got 4 Birria tacos, 1 Arrieros, beans and rice, a horchata, and the Birria consome. The tacos were delicious with lots of flavor, and they didn't skimp on the onions and cilantro. The consome adds depth and is worth the extra $2.50. The horchata and rice were exactly what you would expect, but the beans were a standout. All that said, the true delight was the Arrieros. Imagine an al pastor and bean burrito, then turn it into a crispy quesadilla shape and add chorizo. Oh, yeah. It is delicious. Get adventurous and dip it in the consome and you've got a dish that will bring you back, time and time again.

So, true to nature, I researched several places, read reviews, and settled on Zapata - which luckily was listed on GH.My first order from this taco shop consisted of two beef tacos and one birria taco, because I had no idea what to expect, but wanted the opportunity to sample a variety. Both tacos were great with the juiciness of the birria taco becoming an instant favorite.Three weeks later, this has now become my favorite weekend splurge. This weekend, I ordered beef, birria, and queso w/ carne asada (because I didn't want beans, which usually comes with the carne asada taco). They were all delicious. Unfortunately, I still got beans with the queso taco with carne asade but, fortunately, it was still delicious (!) so it didn't matter! I'm happy I've found this taco spot and look forward to being a returning customer to this place.

How did I just find this place??!! Great Mexican food spot! Someone recommended this place and since then I've eaten here 3-4 times over the last few months. The food is always excellent. Service is always fast and you rarely wait to order and find a seat.

This place is really delicious and the staff are so nice. I get the cali burrito and holy crap it's worth it.

Always love me some Zapatas. This spot is and the food is always so quick to come out. The quesadillas are amazing, the tacos are amazing, and everything else I can get my hands on. Love these guys, thank you!

My new go to place for tacos!Hubby and I came here for dinner and ordered a bunch of different tacos. Our favorites were the Carnitas, Pastor, and carne asada. We were super impressed on how flavorful and tender all of the meats were and the special toppings in each taco like the pico in the carnitas. Our food came out just as we has finished filling up our water cups. I really enjoyed the salsa bar and the variety of flavor and heat levels. They serve their tacos with plenty of fresh limes as well for optimal flavor.

This place is awesome if you want authentic Mexican food, the tacos are amazing, also love the Tortas

The place looks very welcoming and clean. I ordered the chile relleno with beans and rice. Flavor was good but it was way too spicy for my liking. I will visit again I will just stay away from the Chile rellenos oh and I forgot and they forgot to give ny mandarin Jarrito.

We live really close to this taco shop and therefore, have gone there a lot since they opened. We have never had a bad experience with food, service, or anything really. We have recommended this restaurant to many people because they're just great here. The staff has also been wonderful and have never messed up an order. Even going so far as to put guacamole on the side with my burrito because I requested no cilantro and he wanted to make sure the guacamole was separate since it also had cilantro. Little things like that really make a difference to me because it shows they really paid attention to the order itself and did t just whip it up and throw it in a bag (like many places often do). All this to say, highly recommend this place because I love it so much and will continue to eat here often.

Service was amazing! I had the birria tacos and the side of beans! They have an amazing salsa bar with some really spicy and tasty options!! Highly recommend.
