After taking a tour of the Denver Mint, I asked a local for a suggestion on where to get lunch that was within walking distance from the Mint and they recommended this place (formerly known as Zoup!). It was easy to find since it was next to the Sheraton Hotel.The restaurant had a modern decor that was pleasant and clean. I was greeted by friendly helpful staff. Additional seating was available along the windows. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich but they were out of that so she suggested a similar sandwich. The food was mouth watering and homemade. Besides sandwiches, the menu offered wraps, soups, salads, and cold drinks to name a few. If you're looking for a bite out of the ordinary, stop by at Z!Eats (outdoor sign shows Zoup!)

I used to go to Zoup! in Colorado Springs all the time. Flash forward to living and working in the metro Denver area. I discovered Zoup! had a name change to Z!Eats. The soup variety is still extensive and perfect on cold days. I love soup, so I'll eat it on warm days, too. I want to recognize Forrest, who provided excellent service. He enjoys his job and it shows. He was friendly to me as well as others. His manager asked him to do something, and he cheerfully performed the task. When Forrest went into the dining area to pick up trays, he asked how I was enjoying my lunch. I told it it was hitting the spot, and he made sure to invite me to come back. In a world of poor customer service, I am so appreciative there are Forrests in the world doing their part to bring back service.

Cafe's are one of my absolute favorite types of restaurants. This restaurant is located "a skip and a hop" from our hotel (Sheraton, downtown). There are quite a few options for the soups; customers are allowed to sample the soups they prefer - before purchase - which I think is great. I eventually settled on a pick-two combo (Coastal tuna salad and Jamaican Bay chicken gumbo); I also ordered the Mediterranean bowl to go (to eat later in the day). The tuna salad was fresh (including the delicious bread), the gumbo was on point, and the salad was very good as well. Additionally, the customer service was wonderful. I enjoyed everything.

First, I ordered online and was given a 3 minute pickup. I waited almost 30. It's not that I mind waiting, but don't quote me on a time and not deliver reasonably close to that. It was busy, I would have been with quoted 10 minutes. Then there was the food. The lobster bisque was overly salty and the Mac and cheese was runny and bland. For 23$, I expected more.

The staff absolutely loves us, that's why when we are downtown, this is our favorite spot to grab a quick bite! The food is delicious every time, can't go wrong. And for being downtown it is very clean! And great music!

We do a lot of catering for work, so I am always for a new find. In the fall and winter, soup and sandwiches are a big win amongst the employees. We recently order from Zoup. We ordered their Chili Tureen. It was a spicy, hearty chili. Absolutely delicious. I would go back again just for the chili. We also ordered sandwiches. I had the ham and maple bacon. It was a lot bread for the sandwich. Although the bread was fresh and fluffy. It was a decent sandwich, but the bacon was more of a crumble and I would have prefered strips of bacon instead. This is a great spot if you love soup and sandwiches.

If you love soup then this is your stop. Quite a variety to choose from among sandwiches. Service is a little slow but other than that everything else was good. The place is clean and contemporary.

Always like to try local or at least dinning options not available at home. The three soups I sampled were amazing. I went with the lobster bisque and it did not disappoint. The bread was fresh, crusty on the outside soft on the inside. This place puts my local Panera's to shame. The staff was outgoing, friendly and willing to offer some recommendations for a first time customer. The only thing holding back that elusive fifth star is that the tables were a bit unkempt.
