Came here for lunch solo on a weekend. They weren't busy at all when I arrived and was able to sit immediately. The waitress was very kind and took my order. I got vegetable tempura, miso soup and a veggie roll-- everything was just ok; sounds weird but, just didn't have much flavor.

Today is my Birthday ! So I was going to come to one of my favorite places and have some delicious sashimi and sushi , let's start off with this.. We have been sitting here for an hour and a half we have just barely received our drinks and that seems like such a chore to get. The young man that was getting our drinks definitely did not want to be there and you could tell by every action and every movement he made it would so obvious he was miserable working. We were trying to get his attention to order and when doing so he smirked at us in such a horrible way. It's so disappointing that this place has turned into the way it has. Granted It is a Friday night, and they only have one server I don't understand why this is, like that there are so many people in this restaurant behind the counter I literally can count seven people. How come we weren't greeted and or told we'll be right with you guys in a few minutes. Or I'm sorry we're super busy,, no we just are waiting and waiting and waiting for our drinks we didn't even order yet ,and then finally ,,,,we asked how long would it take for the food and we were quoted about 20 minutes. It has been way longer than that now this is no way to run a business. I am so sad and what an unfortunate day for it to happen on my birthday I was just trying to have a very pleasant evening tonight with my family and have some delicious sushi can't even believe how long it took just to get the drinks. They knew we were still waiting for our first round of food like an appetizer or our soup or salad. Quite a few minutes after that we reminded one of the staff that was there that we had not received anything and then the ball started rolling quite quickly them noticing we were quite upset also at this time we have been there for almost 2 hours. We had asked the young man a very important question about one of the things that we had ordered if one of the dishes was real crab or imitation crab we were informed that it was real crab and it was not and unfortunately my sister had a very bad allergic reaction to the fake crab. She is super super allergic to it thus that's why we asked numerous times to make sure it was supposed to be real and it was not. I just cannot believe this happened and it could have been avoided with a simple no it is not real. Absolutely utterly ridiculous by the thank goodness of Murphy's law my sister had taken Benadryl beforehand due to being allergic to kitties and she was petting a cat just a little while before we went to the restaurant. If my sister had not taken that Benadryl she probably would have had a very bad episode and what it ended up in the hospital or might of even died. The negligence of the employee that caused this issue is horrific. I have went to this place numerous times and I have enjoyed their food but unfortunately I don't think I'm going to be coming back here anymore it is so sad the attitude has gone downhill and the communication is just not there I'm only giving this place three stars due to what has happened.

Okay... My review has since gone down hill. My husband still adores his sushi and thinks it's some of the best he's ever had... Which definitely is saying something but me, nope. I don't think I can ever order from this restaurant again. Sad but true. The second time I ordered from here, I requested no seasoning on my yellowtail collar but when delivered, yep, still had seasoning... And it wasn't all that good. And the salmon skin was chewy, and honestly made me a tad bit nauseated cause I noticed it still had scales on it.The third time I ordered from here, I ordered the sashimi platter and salmon skin Handrolls. The sashimi was dynamite! I will give them that, and for $23 you get a lot of fish! But the salmon skin was NOT GOOD. Blech. I couldn't even finish it. I saved it though and I'm going to try crisping it UP in my air fryer... To see if that saves it. Again, it was chewy... And tasted just off (kind of like in order 2, I just wanted to try one moreeee time before making my final decision about this restaurant). Also, this time around- SOOOOO MANY SCALES!!!!!! SO GROSS. I can't handle scales on salmon skin. It's repulsive to me, and all I kept doing while trying to eat this salmon skin was taking scales out of my mouth. If I ever decided to order from this restaurant again, purely because my husband wants more (since he loves it)- I will just order sashimi and call it a meal.

A friend of mine and I love this restaurant. They have wonderful food. The service is excellent and helpful with any questions. We love the rolls and try not to get the Snow roll every time. We branched out this time. Another delight. Forgot the name. No worries. We'll find it again next time. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

We are regulars and come to Yutaka at least once a month. It's always a quiet and peaceful place to have a meal and we always enjoy trying new rolls and new types of sushi along with our usual favorites. Service is always perfect (not lacking anything, but also not excessive check in) and we are always glad to see our same kind friend as always who seats us and helps us. I like the inari soup which I don't often find other places. The sushi is tasty. This is a happy place for us.

The food was great. 3rd time back. The portions were a generous and the fish was very fresh. The staff remembered us and were very kind. The restaurant was very clean. The background music was very soothing for my 4 month old grand baby. It has become a favorite spot for us.

The place was clean and pleasant and the staff were friendly and the sushi may be fine, but the hot food we had was very disappointing. The Chicken Teriyaki sauce was tasteless, the chicken chewy and the vegtables (broccoli) mushy. The Shrimp Tempura batter was tasteless and soggy.
