I tried Woodhill Small Batch BBQ at the Meadows Food Truck Frenzy 2024. I was there early and only wanted Mac and cheese for my toddler as I needed to get food in her and, like any toddler, Mac and cheese is one of the main food groups.Ordering was fine and I figured, like most food trucks, getting my food would take a minute so I went to order from another food truck literally 5 feet away for my husband and I. There was one person in line and I figured I would be done before the Mac and cheese was ready. As I was in line I heard my number called from Woodhill and ran back over to grab it. As I said "hi, I'm number 48" the guy starts to yell at me about how I cannot leave the food truck as "they're high volume" and need to get everything out quick. He literally scolded me for going 5 feet away and coming right back after hearing my number called (and no, I hadn't offered at the other truck yet, I left the line, I just seriously was not expecting the food to be ready yet). Customers shouldn't be yelled at for something like that, especially after paying and tipping. The whole interaction was incredibly rude. Then, the Mac and cheese itself, was undercooked noodles (with a distinct crunch) with some cheese sauce slapped on top of it. Not worth the $18 and scolding. Giving 3 stars as the ordering was smooth and the flavor was good, while the execution was sub par and being yelled at was unpleasant.

First time I've been to the food truck where they still had the Twinkies, so I had to try one. I might ask for them to go a little light on the sauce next time, but they're big, plump, and with lots of flavor. Pretty darn good treat.

This will be the10th consecutive five star review for this truck. If I could give them another star, I would. BBQ this good from a truck doesn't come around often, if ever. After a few brews at Living the Dream's 8th anniversary, I was ready for BBQ. Lucky for me, my friends ordered more ribs than they could finish and asked for help. Tender meat fell off the bone and, while they could have used a little more smoke, outshined most of those I've had around the Metro at hipster and at old school favorites. Alas, there were only three bones left.I ordered brisket + sausage with a side of Mac & cheese and brought back a spicy and a regular sauce along with complimentary pickles and onions. Unlike many trucks, these guys are as efficient as they are friendly. No pagers here. My food was out in less than three minutes. Brisket was well-smoked with considerable bark outside, tender meat inside. There were both moist and lean cuts included. Big props! My sausage was serviceable, but next time I'd get something else. Mac & cheese was deliciously cheesy. Most BBQ joints serve up disappointing sauce. Not Woodhill. Spicy means spicy. The Carolina sauce (not my cup of tea) was the best I've tried. I'd put this BBQ up against some of the Metro's most revered joints and hope I see this truck again soon in my part of town. Highly recommended!

The most unseasoned macaroni and cheese I have every had! There was not a pinch of salt. It taste like nothing. The ribs and brisket were not seasoned and dry, had to load it up with BBQ sauce. The only good thing was the baked beans and the chicken.

The food was amazing and the portions were big compared to other BBQ food trucks. We enjoyed the beef ribs, pulled pork, pulled chicken and brisket! We will look out for them in the future.

Finding ourselves at New Terrain Brewing Company with grumbling bellies, my fellow brewery goer and I decided to sample from the onsite food truck: Woodhill Small Batch BBQ.Star 1 = They feature a variety of meal options including plates and sandwiches. Heck, they even serve up sliders!Star 2 = The sauces! The barbeque sauces were super tasty! They ran the gamut from a traditional, a mustard, to a habanero, and then some!Star 3 = Prices were on point! Sandwiches were approximately $7 and sides were $2 a piece. Portions were quite generous and super tasty!Star 4 = Love that they focus on quality over quantity and do everything in small batches. You can totes taste the difference!Woodhill Small Batch BBQ def served up some solid barbeque. I'll be checking it out in the future for sure.**Pro Tip: You can keep up with their current haunts on their website!

This is def good bbq but it wasn't the best we've ever had: The pulled chicken was a bit dry. Still, we would come back to get this again. The prices are on par with a bbq restaurant. The Mac and cheese was bangin!

Some of the best ribs in Denver. Tender fall of the bone with a good smoke flavor. Not too smoky or salty like a lot of other BBQ joints. Brisket had good flavor and fairly tender. Great beans and macaroni and cheese had good flavor and texture. Macaroni could have use a little more cheese/butter. Just my preference. Good BBQ sauces. Definitely be back for those ribs again and again!

Amazing smoked meats. Good for a pop in meal and awesome for holidays. They do smoked turkeys for Thanksgiving and Dmoked ham for Easter. They always have alternatives for those times if you want something else. Owners are professional and amazing chefs. Recommend 100%!

Love their food, but their attitudes suck! We've eaten here multiple times because it's hard to find good BBQ in Denver. However we hate supporting a business where they are so rude so we will start looking around for something else. First time we thought they were having a bad day, but it's been the same nasty attitude every single time. Stingy with napkins and utensils and seem like they don't enjoy the industry anymore. People typically need more than 1 napkin when eating ribs and wings. Just charge an extra dollar or two for each meal and be nice. It's not hard!
