The whiskey selection doesn't disappoint. Excellent bar tenders. No food but they let you order in! Also a great hot dog place steps away.

They have the Apricot Dry Dock on tap which is delicious! Also almost every beer they have is included in the happy hour. That also includes a bunch of different spirits including whiskey which is probably the reason why you'd want to go to the "whiskey bar". We had fun treating ourselves to a game of pool in the next room which is free to play. The other arcade games that are there are switched off likely due to covid. Wouldn't mind coming back for another cheeky game of pool and reasonably priced drinks!

Bars are good. If they have whiskey they're always good. Whiskey Bar always has plenty. Many brands. There's both cheap and expensive kinds. Atmosphere is the only iffy thing here. It doesn't always have much of one. The bartenders usually are good, but when they're bad they suck. As for the whiskey, that's the most important thing here. So much whiskey. All kinds to choose from. The prices are good usually. A Tullamore Dew is about $5 when it's happy hour. The regular prices aren't bad either for most items. It certainly feels divey. Maybe it needs an actual good cleaning to get more people here. This is okay to make quick stops.

Where to begin?! This place is a fkn Denver INSTITUTION. It's so much more than the INSANE whiskey selection. It's impeccable service combined with unpretentiously delivered whiskey knowledge in the chillest spot. Dave has curated a seriously ridic whiskey list over the last 15 years. There's something for everyone - even if you're not into whiskey! Trust me, you'll never have a bad experience here. It's so welcoming. It's legit the only bar I want to hang at. If you know, you know.

Spent an evening hanging out sipping whiskeys and chatting with their buyer. The prices are what you would expect for a whiskey bar located where they are in Denver, but they offer a fantastic selection of scotches and the service was fantastic. They went so far so going down into their store room to pull out a bottle they thought I would especially enjoy based on our discussion.

New favorite bar! Great, homey place with 330+ whiskies available to try. It's a bit of a dive bar feel, but plenty of drink selection if whiskey isn't your thing. Richard the GM is awesome and made great recommendations.

My husband and I moved here mid March, whiskey bar is one of our main places downtown we love to go! There are fantastic bartenders, we normally have the gift of being in the presence of Jo and Dave. We love all the regulars we see when we come in on the weekend and have met a lot playing pool which is no charge! Security is always on cue.We love coming here and will continue to do so.If you're looking for an awesome chill vibe to have a drink with amazing people this is your place!P.s. it looks like water... but guess what it's not ;)

They looked at like us like we were a new species. I felt like I was on a different planet, at their local zoo. They poked and prodded until we left. Thank God we had the ability to do so. They had beer

Holy moly has this bar gone down the tubes. Had been coming here for a long time, and it was an old standby that always had a rustic but classic and warm touch. That's all gone now. It now feels like a spartan cafeteria in some podunk town. The music is now louder and they seem to be going for a quasi-club vibe of some kind. It's not as bad as some bars that have gone to copy each other in the same hip-hop-for-suburban-kid way that you find nearby, but it seems to be headed in that direction. For a classic Denver spot where you can have the experience Whiskey Bar once provided, Nallen's may be closest. R.I.P.

Not sure if they're victims of the neighborhood or just lackluster ownership. Went in for the first time in 4 years and holy smokes ... never again.
