Waterton Tavern

First off, this is a local bar & restaurant, so don't set your expectations too high. They're often busy but there are few other options around, which might explain that, because ...Food and drink: They serve average bar food. It's going to be greasy, salty and fatty. (They do have salads.). But don't grow too attached to any appetizer or entree. They update the menu item every year or two. The beer and spirit selection is ok.Service: Quality of service is generally good but can be hit-or-miss. Sometimes they won't check on you for 15+ minutes at a time. If they make a mistake, it's the customer's fault. I've never seen a manager or owner make the rounds to check on how customers are doing.Ambiance: It's laid back and often loud. You seat yourself. They have "arcade"-type of games for kids. They have a few tvs and will always show the local sports team. They have basic outdoor seating. There's TouchTunes but they'll turn off the music without warning, so don't waste your credits.Cleanliness/ upkeep. I've been going here over 2 years now and it looks the same as it always has. It's just a bar that serves food -- no reason to ever remodel or spruce up. In summary, if you are hungry and not that particular and live in the area, and maybe want a beer, then this place will do fine. I would not go out of my way for Waterton Tavern. There are plenty of good options up Wadsworth. It'll be interesting to see how this place survives as Sterling ranch and Roxboro continue to grow.

The food was fine, but we came at noon, wanting lunch. Apparently they don't serve lunch until 1pm. I thought lunch started at 11, 12 at the latest. This was very disappointing.

Awesome service. Decent food. I had the Reuben per the servers recommendation and it was fine. My husband had the bbq burger and gave it a solid score. Between the burger and the awesome service I rated this 4/5.

3.5 Stars raising it up because service was great.So So food. Although their fries and Fried pickles were pretty darn good. And Service is great!My wifes Salad was joke and should have been a $5.99 side salad. My Club sandwich was really generic and sort of cold.Aint much choices down this way but this place is just so-so

I love this place! I'm never disappointed with the food or the service. Atmosphere is friendly and always welcoming.

Food was basically burnt. Either that or they cooked two pieces in a fryer that had old grease that was shot. And the other piece of fish in a fryer that had new grease. I ordered the fish and chips. It came with three pieces of fish. Two of them were burnt. Why somebody in the kitchen would put these out on the same plate I do not know. The friend I was with got the nachos. The meat was very salty. The third person in our party got the turkey melt They said it was good. The server was very nice. Friendly and knowledgeable. But the food took quite a while. Probably will not go back. we went during lunchtime. 11:30 on a Friday afternoon. There were only about six tables in the whole restaurant.

Great people, great service, I hate they changed their menu but, still love the place!

Always a great place to hang out with friends, grab a bite and receive friendly service.

The food and service is mediocre. It's OK but not what is used to be. It's a convenient local watering hole, clean with decent ambiance but the value is a 6/10 price: quality

A friend and I built up enough courage to come in here because it Santa good last time.Came in shared a sandwich and a few drinks and we got out of there.Food I think gas station on corner sells better food.My bottle beer was great!Ambiance not good . They need to clean it up and gut it and start over.Service as alright. We didn't expect much and it didn't disappoint .
