Wally's Wisconsin Tavern

Forgot to take a picture before most of them were eaten, but these were some of the best curds I've ever had outside of Wisconsin. 10/10 recommend

Best home town bar states away from home. Stopped by for a be errands and home town vibe and did not disappoint. On Wisconsin.

Wally's Wisconsin Tavern is connected to Rhein Haus, and regardless of where you sit inside you have access to both menus. Service is fairly fast and friendly, and it's a great spot for a quick bite and a beer before heading to Ball Arena. I'm not a big beer drinker but felt like they had enough variety on draft to have a glass of something that appealed to me, but they also have wine and cocktails for those who want something besides beer. For food I had the classic brat from the Rhein Haus menu with sweet potato fries. This came topped with the driest sauerkraut I've ever had and sat on top of a dry bun. Fries were alright though and I appreciated the pickle for some moisture.Overall wouldn't come back here for food, but drinks and ambience were great! Every booth seat area even has its own mini TV so it's a great place to hang out with friends and watch games.

We walked in after the game on Sunday afternoon and it was seat yourself.. we waited for someone to clean off the table... we waited awhile and it was like no one worked there. Someone finally came and ordered a sprite and a pretzel. The sprite was a club soda and disgusting. The large pretzel came in 5 minutes. You can tell it was not fresh. It was dry and old. We wound up walking out..

Stopped in for lunch. It was seat yourself a d happy hour on a Sunday from 12-3. Beers were $1 off. Jason was our server. Great job explaining things. I ordered the walleye with the sweet potato fries pretty good, nothing to write home about, but I haven't had walleye in a while. it is connected to a German restaurant and you get your choice of menu's. All in all, good food. good service.

I'm a Wisconsin girl from way up north, so the Friday night fish fry is what drew me here. It did not disappoint! The man had the Sconnie burger and a beer on special, both he enjoyed. Yes this is bar food but it's good bar food. Didn't try the cheese curds but will next time. Service was quick and consistent. Attentive server but not hovering service which is the perfect balance. It was a fun atmosphere and fairly true to Wisconsin flavor and vibe while being in Denver. We will go back!

A really friendly place with good food and great beer. I was in the mood for simple bar food so I sat on the Wallys side and got some very good buffalo wings but accompanied by some excellent German beer from the other sister restaurant next door. They have a great thing going. The atmosphere is really nice and warm. Great stop.

Man, this is my FAVORITE spot in all of Denver. The vibe, cheese curds, and crowd are always perfect. BUT the 3 stars is because of the service. I'm not even kidding when I say this was the worst service I've ever experienced. For 45-60 minutes our waitress didn't check on our table despite an empty beer glass at the end of the table, AND being the FIRST table where she walks out of the bar and sees. Monica is the shitty waitresses name. If I was the owner I'd fire her in a heart beat. I can't get mad at people struggling when there's 10-15+ tables with tough drink orders, I 10000% respect that, but when the bar is only 1/4 full then I expect at LEAST a check up on drinks every 15-20 minutes. I wish Monica was fired instantly (sounds dramatic but you'd be losing your shit too I promise) and if she isn't, then you need to learn a hard lesson about giving the bare minimum fuck about your job because that was utterly pathetic. Get your shit together seriously, or go work at McDonalds. You're lucky my fiancé gave a $5 tip because I'd rather have given you $0 and actually discussed with management to get some money back because it was that heinous. I'm truly sorry for whoever the manager is or owner because you do not want Monica representing your business. Regardless, if you're the manager and seeing this, then this is also your responsibility. Clearly your employee is lackadaisical so figure it tf out. I've tipped 25% at every establishment I've ever been in my entire life and this is the first place that made me want to tip $0. Monica, I hope you get fired, you truthfully suck.
