I recently went to shop for some Asian pantry items here and was surprised by how spacious the parking lot was as well as how much easier it is to get it and out of the place.I often don't go pass Federal, but had time to kill so I visited Viet Hoa. It had what I needed and the price was comparable to Pacific Ocean - maybe a tad bit less; not noticeable so though. I did really appreciate how quickly this shopping trip went. I can't say I'll go here over Pacific Ocean every time, but it's a very decent option for your Asian grocery needs!

Having been to many Asian supermarket in town, including Great Wall, HMart, Park Hill, Tri-Ocean, Little Saigon, New Saigon, Ben Thanh, M-Mart, but never been to Viet Hoa in Lakewood due to its location. Happened to be in the neighborhood recently and was quite amazed of this local gem. Viet Hoa has been a local staple. Used to be at Wadsworth and Alameda before relocating to its current location at Sheridan and Alameda. Although it is smaller than Great Wall and HMart, but it is bigger than most other Vietnamese supermarkets. It does not carry as many brands as its bigger rivals, but it probably has more than enough of what most people need. The impression is the vegetables, seafood and meats look fresher here, not like something just out of a freezer. The shelves are neatly stocked (it is not an exaggeration, they probably spent time lining everything up with labels facing front), which make shopping much easier. I would not say it is worthy of the trip here if you live south or north, but it probably can satisfy your Asian grocery needs so you don't need to drive all the way to other Asian supermarkets.

This spot was pretty clean with roomy aisles. Covers a swath of Asian products leaning towards SE Asia. For example, they have an aisle dedicated to coconut milk. A gigantic aisle for produce. I got a large bunch of fresh mint, and I like how I can buy bean sprouts by weight. I was hoping for some pre-made items, but that is not the case for this spot.I would skip the seafood section as my purchases had a strong fishy smell. I couldn't tell beforehand as they were behind display cases. Restrooms could be better maintained.

If you need those unusual ingredients but live along the foothill this is a great option to a trek to Hmart

I went to this store for the first time yesterday. I was impressed by the size of it especially compared to their bigger competitors. Some things may be cheaper in cost but that also meant cheaper quality. When I opened some of the produce when I got home I noticed some spoilage which wasn't visible when I initially looked at it. I also bought two packs of fresh noodles and when I went to cook with them later that evening, I noticed an off smell when I opened the bags. After carefully looking at the noodles I noticed mold and had to throw them away. What I find ridiculous is that they have a store policy of "no exchanges or refunds. All sales final." I don't think that is great store etiquette when they are selling sub par product. I will not be shopping here again for anything "fresh."

Okay I'm from California so I get it, maybe this isn't as extensive of a selection as some of the huge Asian grocery players there but that doesn't mean Viet Hoa isn't just as much of a staple. I grew up just down the street from this place and they were my saving grace when supermarkets on Federal were too far. Focuses on Vietnamese and Chinese based food staples, although there are some other selections like Indonesian, Thai, and Filipino food items. I will say the produce is a really great price here! You do not need to be Asian or Viet or Chinese speaking to go here. Employees are bilingual and that's way more impressive than my measly language skills. Go support! Parking: free lot, plenty of space Seating: noWifi: noPayment, cash and card, unsure about Amex Vibe: typical Asian grocerDress code: casual

Zero customer service. nasty rude people, I'll never shop there again. They just check you out, don't look at you, don't condescend to put your groceries in your bag, awful place. There are many Asian markets nearby that are customer friendly and willing to help find items in the store. I can't believe this place is still in business, in fact it's pretty empty of customers.

Great variety of food and options to meet most of your Asian cuisine needs. Was in a crunch to make my favorite Indonesian dish. They had a section dedicated to Indonesian foods. Saved the day!

Amazing selection for items you just can't get at King Soopers... Korean BBQ marinade for $5.86 is a great deal for my King Soopers pork spare ribs. The seafood department could be a little scary, not sure this is flown in daily.
