It pains me to give this place 5 stars seeing as I'm a Chicago pizza guy, and this is Detroit Style. But hey, I can be open-minded. We tried this place for lunch with a coupon for one free small cheese pizza when we ordered another small pizza. The first problem is the sizing. We ordered a "small" salad. It was way bigger than small. Then we got their "small" pizza, which I would call medium. But whatever. The size didn't stop me from diggin' in. The "small" pizza was 8" x 10". Plenty for two people. It ordered it with red sauce, green peppers, and red onions. It also had chunks of Italian sausage, the way God intended pizza to me made. Not the popular ground sausage scattered evenly across the top of the pizza which we've seen at other pizza places around here. The Italian sausage was spicy, but a good spicy. Besides the bready goodness of the pizza, their Detroit Style pizza had a crust that wasn't doughy, bready or like some pizzas, crunchy like stale breadsticks. It had a light crispiness that was just enough to appreciate it was perfectly baked in a metal pan. But finding out that Detroit style is actually a pizza worth making the trip for wasn't the worst part of our visit. While we're sitting there minding our own business, the manager comes over to our table. Apparently our server told her it was our first time trying this place and the manager plops down a glass of pure addiction with two spoons and a straw! They call it a Boston Cooler and it's made with vanilla flavoring and Vernors Ginger Ale... on the house. Oh, MAN! That's. just. not. fair!

Recently had an opportunity to try Via 313 for some Detroit style pizza. This is our second experience with Detroit style in the Denver metro area. We ordered a large half classic Cheese and half rocket pizza. The wait staff was amazing, cannot say enough great things about our waiter. The inside is super fun vintage car classic themed from Detroit. The pizza was very good, came out hot and fresh. The classic Cheese was tasty with some good pizza sauce. I personally wish it had more sauce but the flavors were good. The pizza is a little thinner than other Detroit styles we've tried so we were able to eat most of the large pizza. The rocket was my partners side and they enjoyed the flavors in it. Overall a great experience, just not sure it takes the crown in the metro area.

I had high hopes for this Detroit-style pizza spot, but unfortunately, my experience left me disappointed. Let's start with the wait time - it was absurdly long. I get that good pizza takes time, but over an hour and 15 min for something that was cold by the time I took a bite is crazy. The service didn't help matters either. It was chaotic and disorganized, with staff seeming overwhelmed and inattentive. The hostess was crying (no judgment, just uncomfortable). They told me to sit at a bar that no one was working at, and it seemed like a missed opportunity to offer beers or drinks to all the people waiting because they have good beer deals. When the pizza finally arrived, I was shocked by how small it was. For the price, I expected something more substantial, especially with Detroit-style pizza being known for its thick, hearty crust. While the flavors were decent, the portion left me feeling underwhelmed and still hungry. Overall, the pizza itself was alright, but the experience was too frustrating to overlook. I might give them another chance if they improve their operations, but for now, I'd recommend looking into Blue Pan if you're wanting a delicious detroit pizza.

We tried Via 313 for the first time a couple of weeks ago. There is a full bar located in the restaurant, and we sat at a hightop. We know about Detroit-style pizzas, which is why we wound up at Via 313. The bartender was also our server. It seemed like they may have been short-staffed, but there were only four to eight customers in the restaurant at any given time. We placed our order and waited. And waited. And waited. Again, we know it usually takes 45 minutes to get a Detroit-style pizza. After an hour, I asked and she said ours was next. It took another 30 minutes. The pizza was decent, but not knock-your-socks-off. We'll probably go back to give it another shot. My guess is they burned it and had to make a new one, or they forgot.

Must try new pizza place in the SW hood serving up Detroit style pizza and fun cocktails. We ordered the Omnivore and a GF Funkadelic. My celiac friend said this was one of if not the best GF pizza crusts she's had. The Omnivore was delicious as well, loved the Detroit crust and our teenagers devoured the whole thing in minutes. Customer service was fantastic and the manager even stopped by to check in. I do wish there were more specialty pizza options. Most are meat heavy. The vibe of this place really reminded me of Urbanfield in Longmont but with less variety and creativity. Also, not a fan of salads in metal bowls, but that's more of a sensory, metal on metal thing for me.

I am from Detroit and was really excited when Via 313 moved into the area. Detroit style pizza is so good but unless you eat it there there is nothing good about it. Pizza arrives cold and every single time I order delivery parts of the order are missing, what a disappointment. The fourth or fifth time I've ordered delivery, and the salad dressings missing the deserts are missing and the pizza is cold. I ordered a bar style pizza, and it was a cracker with some cheese on it no sauce, dried out and nearly inedible. I called the staff, they are nice and apologize but nothing changes. I get a lot of excuses about not having enough staff. I spent $100 on a dinner that I barely ate. What a let down.

I called in my order and picked it up on time. The restaurant was clean, but causal. The pizza and cinnamon sticks had to travel 30 minutes before eating. Warmed in the oven and ate. It was delicious especially the cinnamon sticks. Price did seem a little high.

Unfortunately, just wasn't impressed. Was excited about the new pizza joint in the neighborhood but better off going to our fav spot- Homegrown. Super young waitstaff and the food was just okay. Don't see us coming back sadly

We really loved trying a different style of pizza. It was crunchy and crispy on the edges, and cheesy soft in the middle, with plenty of toppings! Our server was very attentive and friendly. We got three pizzas, two large salads, and an appetizer of cheese bread. Highlights were the supreme pizza and the prosciutto with fig and we replaced Gorgonzola with ricotta. Both were delicious, but the prosciutto was my favorite. I also really enjoyed the arugula salad. It was simple but tasty with a brightness added from the orange zest.I wish the bar style pizza that we customized wasn't cooked as long. It was a bit too crunchy for me, but still had good flavor. Their Caesar salad was not good. It was heavy on the mayonnaise and lacked that sourness and tang that I love about Caesar dressing.Overall, I definitely recommend trying Detroit style pizza. Very yummy!

Make me change my mind. Via 313 Pizzeria did it. They changed my mind about deep dish pizza. BRAVO! Light and airy crust, DELICIOUS flavor. Friendly service, with a smile. Great music. Fun atmosphere and an on point nod to the pizzeria days! Well done, from this Coloradan via 714.
