It's a delicious and casual southern kitchen! Not like classic true sour there, it's modernized version.Parker was our waiter and he was very friendly, even though we walked in 45 minutes before closing. At that time, there were just a handful of tables seated. Turmeric Ginger Tonic beverage was sold out, and it's very popular so consider it if you come at an earlier time!I had to try their famous 20-year old banana pudding recipe and wow, I was impressed. If you're a fan of the dessert, it's a must-try.On a side note, the water tasted great haha, not your average tap water. Sweet with no bitter after taste. I ordered sweet and spicy chicken and waffles, and it was out in less than 10 minutes. Fast! It was delicious too and decently portioned. It tasted like Korean fried chicken haha.Food summary: Banana pudding blew me away, and the chicken & waffles were delicious but nothing super special. Overall, I would come back due to the reliable service and tasty food!

Found this place online for lunch when I was looking for good shrimp and grits. Unfortunately the grits here contain goat cheese and they are unable to make any more grits outside of the ones they have made for the day.We ordered two orders of the sweet potato pancake with scrambled eggs and bacon. One order was significantly smaller than the other. The pancakes were really thin. The food took quite a while to arrive, and when it finally did, the eggs were cold and extremely dry. The pancake had a slight burnt taste and wasn't very enjoyable. The butter and nuts were good, but that was about it. The server thought we would get egg and a meat but it was a mistake she admitted which was okay. The service was just slow. The restaurant itself was just okay, one side of the booth we sat at had oily seats. Overall, the place and the food felt like they were geared more toward tourists than regular diners.

Inviting kitchen /bar with a cozy environment. Casual but elevated. The food is delicious and well-presented. I felt like comfort food on this COLD DAY, so I ordered the Classic Chicken and waffles with a sprinkle of honey dust. I had the Tupelo Cold Brew with honeyI ordered the Banana Pudding, and everything was as excellent as I remembered! John was fantastic. He anticipated what I would need! Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen and Bar is a MUST when here in Denver!

Really delicious fried chicken. The fried green tomatoes were also excellent. Their ginger beverage was great, cause it had a good ginger kick to it. Really felt like it would help you fight a cold. Nice large interior with a bar.

I've wanted to visit a Tupelo Honey since I visited Charlotte in 2020 and ran out of time. I was excited when I saw there was a location in Denver as Southern food is one of my favorite cuisines. There was no doubt in my mind that I was going to order the honey-dusted fried chicken with white meat with a side of the baked mac and cheese and banana pudding for dessert. While the chicken was good, it didn't top the list of the best ever. You can never go wrong with banana pudding though!

I love biscuits, especially those from Tupelo Honey so when I saw there was one near my hotel, I knew where I was eating breakfast! It was a Sunday morning before 11 and they were already busy. I grabbed a seat at the bar and the harried barman took my order of coffee and chicken and biscuits. The coffee was good (although I would have loved a refill) and the chicken and biscuits was great. It also came with some crispy bacon which was exceptional.Since I wasn't going to eat until much later that night, I had a small banana pudding which was also incredible. I'm a fan of Tupelo Honey.

The pumpkin soup was very good, although I didn't like the popcorn in it. The chicken straps with bee dust were good, although the dipping sauces were too spicy. The fried green tomatoes had a nice crunchy breading but no flavor. The best part was the grits with goat cheese and red pepper sauce that came under the fried green tomatoes, yum. The bisquit was very good. The grain bowl and the avocado melt (sandwhich) both looked great. The service wasn't the best. She forgot items, never came back and checked on us and the way she ran the cards for payment was strange. The space was very cozy with cute ornaments hanging from the rafters. Overall not a bad experience, I would try it again.

This place felt like your southern grandmothers dining room, it was a welcomed break from the hustle and bustle of downtown Denver today. The happy hour menu was full of great options, including meatloaf that I may just have to go back tomorrow and try. Today I went for the classic chicken and waffles with a side of mac & cheese. The waffles were crispy, but soft on the inside, the perfect texture. The chicken had just threaded amount of breading to crispiness and the gooey baked mac & cheese was the perfect finishing touch. The service was friendly and not rushed. They did have a great bar menu, but I opted for a Diet Coke with a lemon and it was well balanced, like a fountain soda should be. The meal in total was about $30 and well portioned. The setting was well lit and inviting cozy. I loved the plates, they look just like a set every grandmother has. This was the reprieve I needed today.

Stopped in yesterday for Brunch with the family. This spot is behind Union station. Street parking is pretty tough but there are some garages in the area to make it easier. Although I think it would be an easy bike ride on a warm day. We had reservations and greeted and sat immediately. The service was very friendly but a bit slow at times with our water and coffee refills. It was a Sunday though and pretty busy, so I give them grace for that. We had the biscuits for a cause to start. They were crumbly and light and served with a whipped butter and blueberry compote of sorts. So darn yummy. It was hard to be judicious and not overeat waiting for our mains. Two of us ordered the shrimp and grits and the other had the breakfast platter. The shrimp and grits were a great portion, not too large or small considering how rich it is. My shrimp was perfectly cooked and the creole sauce was rich and deep. My son liked his platter and cleaned his plate. I think I need to come back and try the fried chicken!

Very good! We went for lunch and split the Sriracha honey chicken and waffles, it was delicious and super filling! The quality of the chicken breast was a little lacking, but the breading was nice and crispy, the waffle was pretty perfect, and the sauce was amazing. We also got an Irish Coffee, we felt it wasn't really worth $15 though, not very strong and not too tasty, just meh. The place was super cute! Our waiter was Tamarick and he was great! Super sweet, friendly, quick, and attentive!
