Tonali's Meats

My husband and I have never had burgers as good as what we got from Tonali's. They do sell to the PUBLIC via online or phone - order ahead and pick up. They do NOT SELL RETAIL. I just called them because I saw their truck parked in front of one of my favorite restaurants so I thought SCORE, I can buy it and make my own. They used to at their Arvada location but no longer. The man said they do hope eventually to open a retail area. So, I stick with my great butcher on Ward St.

I finally visited Tonali's.They were located in an industrial park in Arvada. Not easy to find. Well, kind of easy if you spot the huge "We are open" sign. Only they are not open on Saturdays, despite the sign.However, they did open for me and I bought some delicious burger. They also have rabbit, duck and pheasant.So, 5 stars for the product and service.But, minus a star for having a sign that is incorrect.

Tonali's is primarily a wholesale supplier of aged beef and other meats to top quality local restaurants but they do have a small retail counter where you can buy the same vintage cuts of meat the restaurants buy.My wife and I stumbled onto them a few years ago and have nothing but good things to say about the products they sell. Try a bone in cowboy cut ribeye to take home and grill. Not cheap but as good or better than anything you can buy at Luke's, Ruth Cris', or Texas Roadhouse...Awesome!...the organic eggs, sirloin hamburger, thick cut pork chops, and applewood smoked bacon are delicious too.

So, despite the reviews below, which suggest otherwise, and their listing as a "grocery store" on Facebook, Tonali's "doesn't sell to the public". Glad I called before visiting....

Our son was married on the deck at our home the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. He and his fiancée wanted to have Prime Rib for the wedding dinner. There were 21 close family members attending the wedding. We have known Chef Chris Sanchez for many years and found out recently that he now works for Tonali's. Through Chris we ordered a very large prime rib and a turkey for Thanksgiving. Not only was Chris wonderful in helping with the order, but the quality of the meat was the best we have had in many many years. We will now use Tonli's as our prime source of meat. Thank you so much to Chris and the entire Tonli family.
