Tivoli Tap House

After reading so many negatives about this restaurant, I was a little hesitant to try it. The negative reviews are apparently a little dramatic. We enjoyed our meal. The wife with with a cheeseburger and o went with the bratwurst. Service was friendly. The wait time was short. Overall we had a positive experience and wouldn't hesitate to dine here again if we're staying at the Westin.It is a little pricey, but you're at an airport transit hotel, so it's going to be pricey. The alternative is an hour ride on the train to lower downtown and we just didn't feel like taking the train

I was really looking forward to going to this Tivoli Tap House as I graduated from MSU where Tivoli is in the heart of our campus... but it pains me to say I am very disappointed. We stopped by and it took them about 5 min to sit us down.. there were only 3 tables busy... when we sat we got asked what we wanted but we asked for time to look at menu then they just never came back..The food was ok nothing special. I drank all my water pretty early on and then I drank the little water I had left in my backpack, & then I started drinking my partner's water and still never got water from staff at that point we were 1 of 2 tables... just plain oh bad service. Place is nice and has potential! Just needs ppl that care

The second star is solely for my server who was a gem. Very sweet and attentive. With that said...Having looked over both menus, it appears that they price their items just below their neighbor, Grill & Vine, though after my experience I regret not paying a few bucks more. I ordered a simple side of sourdough toast and the breakfast root vegetable-potato hash. What I got was neither hash nor anything other than potato. The toast was... fine. Nothing more than what you could pick up at a continental breakfast. Do not recommend. Save your money.

The food is mostly burgers and beer. There are a few other choices but they are a tap house. My friend ordered a burger without bread and another ordered the Asian bowl salad. The presentation was lovely. The Asian bowl was colorful and a good mix of Asian items. The server was polite and didn't rush us. I appreciate that. I didn't feel like eating any of the dishes so I skipped and opted to chat with the ladies as they ate. Place has a relaxed vibe and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. A good alternative to Grill and Vine.

Business was slow due to the snow. Maybe that is why experience is better than most. Had the burger. Was decent. Probably better than most inside airport. Decided against the up charge fries for just the chips. Not a huge chip guy but I enjoyed them more than I would paying the extra $2.50. Also, sat at the bar and maybe that's a difference maker as well. Thought service and food was better than I expected reading these reviews.

Out of food. Disorganized. If they had competition they would be out of business. Truly dreadful experience.

No stars . The absolute worst place I've walked into and. Was treated super disrespectful by a girl behind the bar. . Being ignored for minutes while she talked to her friend who had a beer. Then I was told my luggage had to be stored at the front. Whatever that means. I don't know. I'm from Canada and have never been here. Before. RUDE RUDE and. Beyond RUDE.RUDE

Yo what kind of psycho you got working behind the bar? I thought she was having a bad day but turns out every other person in the reviews agrees too. Ya'll straight up look at my reviews. Hundreds. Hundreds of reviews and I ain't playin. 99% of them are 5 stars. But y'all are getting one of my ONLY 1 stars. You gotta do ONE THING, that's all. FIRE. THAT. BARTENDER. You know who. You'll do her a favor, you'll do us a favor, and you'll raise the morale of that place by 10,000%. Every server in that place acting shell shocked from that woman. She straight up disrespected myself, the table next to us, and her own colleagues. Publicly. Only way she gets away with that attitude is because she is a bully and normalizes that behavior.Try that out in north Memphis and you about to see what's real. Other than that, everything in this place is cheap except for the prices. I would NOT recommend. Ever. 1 star.

Don't waste your time. Go straight to Grill and Vine instead. Imagine being a restaurant at the airport hotel, with an empty dining room, and telling a party of 4 they need to wait 15 mins to have lunch because she wanted to give the waiter a break, because he had be busy. When we asked if we could have a seat until they were ready to wait on us she told us I'd rather not, and then told us there is another restaurant we can go to. If I could have given her, the bartender, zero stars I would have!

This place had one redeeming quality, the bartender. They didn't have the first two things that I ordered that were on the menu. Then to make it up for it, he offered me a side salad, which I accepted, it was basically a handful of lettuce with probably 2 tablespoons of diced tomato on top of it. The cook made it look like something by putting it in a small bowl. But then I dumped it out on the plate that they were using as a charger, and it was just ridiculous with a lot of wilted/brown lettuce.After all that, I might've been a little bit more forgiving than I ordered the fish and chips, and when I asked for malt vinegar, they didn't have that either. I mean, what kind of a criminal cook will serve fish and chips without having malt vinegar?!In any case, I felt bad for the bartender, gave him a 25% tip, paid my full bill... And I'm now warning others about it on yelp.
