We, my husband and I, travel trying out bbq or southern food restaurants- specifically fried chicken, collard greens and Mac-n-cheese! Well, I can confirm that Post Chicken & Beer here in Denver, CO does not disappoint. This has now become our first late lunch or dinner every trip into CO (which occurs usually 3-4 times per year.) The traditional is moist, served nice and hot (just cooked and fresh), has a nice spice and crunch in its bite. The collard greens have a bit of a sweet and sour type kick with a traditionalFlavor. They are excellent however most recently we've noticed an increase of inclusion of stems from the greens. id like to see that reduced again and more focused on the leaves as the primary bite. The chile Mac and cheese has just the right combination of spicy kick blended with the super creamy cheese noodles. The biscuits also have a great flavor as well. The restaurant decor is fun, comfortable and entertaining. They have a bar, high table seating and traditional table seating. The staff have always been friendly, cheerful and nice. This visit we placed a Togo order that was ready in 20 minutes. We ordered a family meal so we would have leftovers for the week at our hotel.

tons of gluten free options including the way they bread their chicken! i was really pleased about this! i often go for lunch, they have a buy one get one on beers when it's an NFL game day! my favorite dish here is actually the salmon and rice bowl. maybe that's wrong at a chicken spot but it's delicious. can't go wrong with the caesar wrap though! service has always been friendly to me and there tends to be a lot of regulars which gives this a small homey feel to it! absolutely would recommend.

Seems there's been some significant changes since I was here last (which was more recent than last review), can't say they're positive changes. The chicken was a bit dry and the seasoning was indistinguishable from the regular recipe so much so that I wasn't sure which was what. Not sure I'll be back.

Super clean with a great vibe! THIS place in SoBo is phenomenal. Love the gluten free menu choices including fried chicken! And oh, man, it's done so well.We had collard greens, chili Mac and cheese, Bobs Red Mill grits, mashed potatoes and gravy, half a chicken fried, and chocolate chip cookie dip. I even got a 2 for 1 pint of Howdy Beer. Ahhhhhh so good... all of it!We were greeted and sat promptly. Everything came out super fresh and hot. I am surprised at how delicious this mostly gluten free menu is! Everything aforementioned is a must try.I'm gonna finish my beer now. See y'all here soon!

Lauren was amazing! She came by so soon after we were seated, got our order in quickly and was able to accommodate my request from Craftapped well (lovers of the BOGO beer subscription will find a great opportunity to eat restaurant quality food and get great beer choices). Food was to die for, we started with the biscuits which rival DBC and some southern restaurants I've tried for softness and melt in your mouth quality. Come with a great dipping jam too. The cole slaw salad was solid and OMG the chicken tenders were super fresh tasting, I didn't feel disgusting eating them, and they were nice and filling!Sat in a great outdoor covered patio! Coming back here for sure esp in warm weather.

Beware: everything has dairy for anyone who has dairy allergy. I couldn't enjoy even the fries without it having cross contamination with the meat which was a tad bit disappointing because I wanted to enjoy the dinner with my family. Otherwise, service was nice very much appreciated the honesty of our server and his concerns for my allergies that goes a LOONG way! I wish they had a plant based menu and I'd be back as a regular and happy to use their hippy door entrance ha. Did enjoy the outside seating and their ambiance being very friendly

Looking for a fun spot to enjoy hot, crispy chicken & a nice, cold beer? The Post Chicken & Beer is the place you're looking for.We arrived and were seating in the main dining room. The Post's aesthetic was playful and laid back. Our service from Josh, GM Brooklyn, and Chef Mercedes was top notch. They were welcoming and added to the positive atmosphere of the restaurant. The Post's all natural Chicken Tenders were breaded, fried, & served with Post ranch, hot honey chili crunch, lettuce cups, carrot & daikon radish slaw, & French fries. These chicken tenders were massive and came to the table piping hot. The chicken was so juicy and we had the option to toss them or dip them in The Post's numerous sauces. The sauces included Nashville Hot, Spicy Gochujang, Hot Honey Chili, Black Pepper BBQ, the Post Dry Rub, & Buffalo. The Spicy Gochujang sauce was my absolute favorite. It had some noticeable heat from the red pepper flakes and packed a flavorful kick.We paired our Chicken Tenders with The Post Brewing Company's new seasonal beer release, Sunny Lady. This Arnold Palmer-inspired Ale is brewed with Pekoe Sip House Sunny Green Tea, lemon puree, and local CO wildflower honey, giving it a strong tea taste while finishing tart & refreshing. The Post Brewing Company has an ongoing program where they offer seasonal rotating beer selections. In addition to hot chicken & beer, we also tried the CBLT sandwich with Nashville Hot Chicken and the Chicken & Waffles. The Post reimagined these classic comfort foods for modern tastes.
