The Original Chubby's Mexican Food

The cheese they use here makes everything rich, creamy and filling- like I need a nap good. The drive thru is usually super long from the afternoon onward, It's worth the wait. The salsa you get with tacos is incredible. Downsides:The way they package food. They staple paper plates together and I'm a horrible slob lol. People working drive thru aren't as diligent as the people who prepare your food. If you can't get past that it's worth a try.

Weelllllll folks, This is where I come whenever I'm in town for breakfast, lunch or dinner! I don't care if there is 3 feet of snow on the ground, I'm going to Chubby's for either a Mexican hamburger special or the Infamous Chili cheese fries. I mean these crispy fries are just smothered with cheese and spicy green chili. There normally is a line of cars wrapped around the building that could 30 minutes to get through sometimes but not today. I'm one happy chick today to be in Denver and have my favorite home town original, authentic style Mexican breakfast.

As a native of Colorado, cubby's is always my go to, especially after the bars on the weekend! Smothered Fries with chicharrones my favorite or a Mexican hamburger smothered deluxe, or hand-held, my always go to choices! there is no such thing as a perfect restaurant, but Chubby's always has a place in my heart. especially Chubbys on 38th Ave. in Denver! If you're originally from Denver, and someone mentioned, Chubbys you know what's up! Give it a try you never know if you like it until you try it!

This is the best tasting chubby's in all of Colorado but they lack customer service skills. The workers can be upright rude at times. And wait time takes very long even when you've placed orders online which causes overcrowding in the tiny restaurant.

This location has gone to shit! My order was sitting on the counter for ten minutes while the lady took other orders in the front and then decided to tend to us. Nobody likes soggy smothered fries and that's what we've gotten the last few times we have went there. This location used to be my favorite and the employees they have their now just dgaf.

Why is there a line for this place? Everything is store bought... from their barely cooked taco shells to their Pace brand salsa to the barely seasoned, dry as hell ground beef and their cheese is like shredded processed garbage. I will never eat at this place again. Stop causing traffic on Coronado with that stupid line and just go to a Taco Bell, already.

All im saying is make the smothered burrito lil less spicy cause all i taste is spice no flavor

This is a repurposed fast food facade that has been around for a long time. I stopped in on a lark for a breakfast burrito.There is only one level of spice. It has a little bit of a kick, nothing crazy but the green chile has discernible flavor and is enjoyable.They also offer red chile which is milder but everyone knows that red chile doesn't belong in Den-Mex breakfast burritos. I tried it and this old dog can't be taught new tricks.The breakfast burritos are hefty and clock in at ~$6 for potato, egg, cheese and green chile. I wouldn't go out of my way to return but I am glad I tried what they had to offer.

I love the chili from here, super spicy and full of flavor. This was the first place I've tried green chili! You like chili with a kick, come here!

Generally speaking chubbys in general whether you got the real chubbys on 38th or any other one . They all have the worst attitude towards their customers. I hate that the food is so good because that is the only reason why I still choose to support these ass holes . However this last time I'm sure someone their skimmed my debit card. A bout a week after my trip there I had fraudulent activity on my account. I hadn't used my card anywhere else in weeks . Id think twice before eating here and if you do pay cash.
