The Original Chubby's

I've been going to this location when they had their old building well over 20 years ago. I recently moved far south and drive 27 miles one way just to go there for smothered fries. They're the best and never disappoint! Even when the place is packed, all of the employees are friendly. I've never had a bad experience here and always recommend it to everyone I know!

When we entered the place the vibes were very weird. We felt like we entered a different dimension and the vibes were not it. We see the workers there and a random police officer behind the counter and the police officer was playing with her gun. Like clicking it in and out of her holster like she was in the wild west. She just stood in the corner behind the counter like wtf. So weird!!!We got a burger, fries and cheese fries. The burger was ok (average 3/5 burger), the regular fries were bland af with no salt no nothing, literally needed condiments just to enjoy it. Lastly the cheese fries were so Cheesy. Like there was more cheese on it than fries. When I ate it I could barley taste the fries it was literally all cheese (they took the bland fries and put american cheese on it and microwaved it).

Chili cheese fries with chicharrones?! Something that I never realized that I needed to try. My friend took me here for my first time as she couldn't believe that I've never had Chubby's before. It's not the cleanest or cutest inside, but I could care less about how a place looks as long as the food tastes good! Service was a little slow, but still fast for how many people were waiting for their orders. I appreciate that the fries were actually spicy and the the chicharrones were crunchy and so yummy. I could feel heartburn forming as I was eating but sometimes good food just does that to you. Definitely want to go here again and try something new!

The place has lost its charm, and the food quality has significantly declined. I ordered the steak burrito special, which used to be a favorite, but this time it was disappointing. They added beans, making it mushy, and it was excessively salty. I regretted not ordering the smothered fries, a reliable choice from past visits. My boyfriend opted for the jumbo hot dog with ketchup and mustard, but they inexplicably topped it with nacho cheese, which didn't work at all. Perhaps we visited on an off day, but overall, the experience was thoroughly disappointing.

Every time I visit my home town from Florida this is the spot I make a stop at! Their chili cheese fries are POPPIN'

The food here is absolutely amazing. I love the spice and flavor in everything they make here. The place is family owned with a lot of love and history behind this business. There were a ton of people here and always is - for good reason - it's got the best food! The lines go quickly though and because their food and homemade deliciousness you don't mind waiting a little bit for fantastic food. Ryan and ate our burritos on our walk to the light rail and sadly didn't get any photos of the food on this visit. But we will be back soon enough and I'll remember to take plenty of photos showing you this amazing goodness that they have here!

Hard to understand why only 2 1/2 star average rating for Chubby's. Terrific, original Mexican food and burgers. Always busy and for a reason, friendly service, great menu. I had the chile relleno burrito, smothered with delicious green chile. Loved it!

Love Chubbys! I do kinda miss the tiny standing room only building. I really wish the beans were the same as they were before the new building. They used to be so good! Everything else is the same and delicious!

I didn't know they hired Karen's at this place. Some of the workers are too snobby. Even going as far to tell me where I can or cannot park. Maybe if they weren't so slow they'd have room to park in a proper place.

The service there is horrible, we ordered online and ask for our order and a lady asked the cooks if they had an order under my name, she told us yes and we waited, many people behind us got there order expect us, we asked again for our order and another lady looked for our order and could not find it. Why were we not told in the beginning our order was not in there system. Never again going there just because of the service. The lady with glasses was nice and professional but the other one behind the counter with colored hair and short was extremely rude. Was hoping to try chubbys for the first time but after that encounter never.
