The Local

This day I had gone for a Pokemon event here and I had a great time. The bartender Cory took great care of us. The drinks were great and the food as well. Very nice place to just kickback and chat with friends etc.... It's behind a gated fence but just tell them you are going to the restaurant and you will be let in.

The Local is located within Tava Waters apartment complex! We ordered Napoleons French Dip, Garlic feta fries, and the build your own burger! I forgot to get a picture of the burger.The garlic feta fries were amazing! So hot and fresh! Just the right amount of garlic and feta! I want to try and recreate them myself. The build your own burger was good! I thought it came with cheese so I was a little sad there was no cheese. The French dip was good too! Could have used a little more dipping sauce but over all good!Can't wait to try more items on the menu!

This new place is a hidden gem for sure, it's inside the Tava Waters apartment complex, in the main building across from the guard gate (Capitol building, inside to the left).It's best to make a reservation on OpenTable if you can.Anyway, it's a small, locally owned business. I've eaten there many times & every time it's been delicious. The staff treats you like friends, and they really care to get it right. Great food, great drinks, outdoor seating overlooking the large lake, and they have outdoor heaters.

Great view, great food and drinks, and fantastic service/staff. It's in the Tava Waters complex behind the leasing office.

Okay so, this is contradicting review because i love coming here but when Corey is bartending it feels like me and all the other patrons of the restaurant are a burden. he's never pleasant to talk to, always has an attitude, make us feel like we are making him go out of his way to do his job and make us drinks... it's not that what a bartender is here for? just seems like he hates his job and has alot of other better things to be doing... and we miss Penelope!!! thursday nights just not the same with out her there. service is always A1 when she's there.. hence the 5 stars food is good and Penelope is the best.

Amazing!!We were informed this restaurant is under new management... great and fantastic management!Food was spectacular and service by Nathan was outstanding!

Really wanted to try out the new menu. The food was average, music way too loud and servers distracted talking with other servers. This was the second time we had to track down our server for the bill. Won't be returning unfortunately as we live at Tava and really wanted the restaurant here to be up to par.

Just an awesome place to visit. Food is great, staff is friendly, prices are affordable!!!
