The Lake House Kitchen & Tavern

This place is so cute and has awesome food! Passed by it on a walk around the lake and had to try it out a few weeks later. The dip sampler was so yummy and their queso was better than most Mexican restaurants!! I got the crab cake salad and it was delicious!!! One of the best things I've tried in a while! Overall, I will say that it's a bit pricy here but worth it for the quality of the food! Will definitely be back to try some more and next time with some of their yummy looking cocktails!?

Food was good, ordered the bread pudding french toast for $18.It looked like a garnish of one slice of bread with one strawberry sliced up and 7-8 banana slices with a tbsp of whipped cream, and two slices of bacon.It was very good but extremely overpriced for what you get.

Just tried this place on a whim. Soooooo good! We had their prime rib, their pork loin sandwich, and their fried chicken. Definitely a place to go. Servers are delightful. We were pleasantly surprised. We will return!

We brought our family for a low key birthday dinner (no singing allowed!) and found a winner with The Lake House Kitchen. We arrived early as we weren't sure about the traffic impact for the snow but it was no issue being seated early. Our server was awesome, helping us pick what worked best for each of us. I'm happy to report that the food here is excellent- most of us had the 4 piece fried chicken and I had the wall eye sandwich. The secret winner, in addition to the main courses were the sweet potato fries. I could eat a plate of those on their own. Thanks so much for a great meal!

Amazing food! Phenomenal service! Nice decor and ambiance. I'm from Wisconsin, and this was the best walleye I've ever had.

While visiting Denver for a concert in Red Rocks, I was tasked with finding a nice brunch spot since I'm always on Yelp! The Lake House had great views and an interesting menu, so we wanted to try! We were seated out on the large patio, and it was so nice to eat and enjoy the view of the lake. I decided to order the Fly Over cocktail from their seasonal spring menu that contained Empress Gin and lemon juice, and it was so refreshing! Our server was very sweet and helped answer all of our questions. My friend ordered the grilled chicken ceasar pita and I ordered the lobster roll slider off of the seasonal menu. The pita was great and enough to save for later, and while my lobster roll looked small, it was perfectly filling and so delicious! The waffle fries were fantastically crispy and their ranch was great! Overall, I'd love to come back and visit next time I'm in Denver!

We were visiting the Denver area and decided to stop here, the waitress (so sorry to have forgotten her name) was really kind and provided impeccable service. The food was also really good and a reasonable price. We got so many recommendations on sites to see on our short trip and got a nice drive out of it. I recommend!!

Might have been salvaged if we had sat outside to get a lake view but the food was just awful. Waffles were cold and overcooked, eggs were watery. Shrimp po boy was freezing cold, wilted veggies, no toasted bun... gross. Mimosas used such cheap champagne it was hard to even stomach, no one drank them so that was a waste.Wouldn't let us bring home a sangria that I didn't have time to drink even though by law they're allowed to... so wasted another $10 on that.

A wonderful ambiance in the heart of the foothills, The Lake House truly feels like a place away from the city despite sitting within it. With a patio sitting right on the lake and Mountain View's to the west this lakeside cabin themed restaurant not only has great ambience, but also stellar service and some wonderful food. Our server told us they are known for the Walleye and chicken so that is what we ordered and both were outstanding. While the menu is not big, we found multiple things we would love to try, so we will definitely be back.

Hostess was very rude and disrespectful . Ruined the whole experience for us. The front of the house is the first impression.
