I ordered several dishes from this restaurant on Valentine's day and let me tell you, I now have a love for their food. We did get take out which had me prepared for some good but not great food. ( dining in is always better, let's be honest). But even after arriving home 20 min later, the food was delicious and still warm. I got the steak, lamb, and chicken skewers. The food was delicious the day after, even the pita was! I will be coming back, it was worth the price. The decor of the actual restaurant was also very warm and welcoming. The greek salad was a refreshing dish.

We needed a light simple dinner on our last day at the nearby hotel. We walked over to this Greek fast casual place. We have eaten lots of Greek food. These were simplified versions that were acceptable. The staff was friendly, the place was not yet busy and Orion's were stopping by for take out . It's simple inside but clean and cheery. Very modest prices. A few people came in who seemed to be regulars. We were not very hungry but did want a tasty small option. We split a "Great Greek Gyro." The staff made it quickly and cut it for us and gave us separate plates for no up charge. Very accommodating. We also bought some good quality bottled unsweetened ice tea which was fine. Craving some ice cream for a few days my husband picked some from the menu . I wanted something else so we got the assorted dessert plate. A good sized dish of baklava flavored ice cream, a bowl of house made rice pudding and pieces of baklava. That worked out quite well for balance. What was not ideal was the style of the food. The meat in the gyro, though traditional lamb and beef was somewhat tough , the tzatziki was a bit watery and not a cucumber slice in sight, though the lettuce and tomato was. Unusual to not have any cucumber . My husband thought the ice cream just right. I thought the rice pudding too milky and not thick but flavor was good with lots of cinnamon. The baklava was also pretty wet and the phyllo too pale by what I usually buy or am served. I may be a bit picky but I have had lots of high quality home made Greek food. My next door neighbor was born in Greece and makes fantastic baklava. But for fast casual this met the needs of the day. If they could tweak their cooking style a bit, it would be a little better.

One of the best tasting falafels in Denver! Perfectly cooked, great taste, and crunch outside! The only complaint I have is I wanted more in my pita, because it only came with 3. Next time I'll have to order more on the side. Everything was delicious and presented well. Will definitely be going back! Hidden gem in a busy intersection.

Love me some quality gyros! Ultimate gyro and fries were on point. Gyro was huge with lots of fillings and a massive pita. Fries were crispy with melted cheese and cilantro which I liked. Location is a little challenging to get to and from off Colfax under apartments but is cute inside with decorations. Service was fast and priced reasonable.

We love the gyros at Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, good amount of topping ratio to gyro meat which was nice. We get the great Greek gyros (pictured) and a side of feta fries (not pictured) the feta fries are awesome and crispy. Portions are normal for the fries not giant piles like a lot of American fast food joints. Place has a nice vibe but it's not like the fanciest spot, probably would work best for takeout since there are only a handful of tables inside. We will be back!

Arrived at 6:55 pm with a party of 4, excited to get our Mediterranean fix. The restaurant looked pretty busy as there were a few people waiting for orders. The girl at the register told us their dining room closes at 7 so we wouldn't be able to eat our food there. We asked what time the restaurant closed (because on their door it states winter hours, close at 8 pm.) She told us they close the dining room an hour early. Though we didn't get the food to-go, we decided to take our money elsewhere, I still felt compelled to write the review because other potential diners and customers should be aware of this important factor when considering grabbing dinner here. When we looked up Mediterranean near us, this detail was not mentioned on the business page or in other reviews, so hoping this helps someone not make the same mistake. To the business owner- please consider changing this. I understand why you'd want it closed an hour early- so employees can clean up and clock-out early, but if your kitchen is open and your doors are still open, your paying customers should still be welcomed at your establishment.

Had to take a break from here for a while as the management felt threatening and abused the handicap parking space for a loading spot. It's the closest Mediterranean place near me and the beef skewers are tasty. Today the service was pleasant though they fell under the curse of credit cards only. No cash.

I had previously participated in a Yelp Elite event here, so when I was craving some Mediterranean food this weekend, I decided to go back. I ordered the gyro plate to eat here and the Mezza plate to go. The gyro plate was very filling and came with sliced gyro meat, pita bread, rice pilaf, a side of tzatziki sauce, and a small Greek salad. You can choose another side instead of the rice (French fries or feta fries). The rice had crunchy areas and was a bit dry. Everything else was really flavorful and delicious. I enjoyed the Mezza plate for lunch the next day. This is comprised of Dolmades, Falafel, Spanikopita, Hummus. There is ample parking in front of the restaurant, so it's easy to visit.

Yummm! I needed a spot near my hotel because I was short on time. I found this spot through a list of recommendations in the hotel elevator and am glad I scanned that QR code. It was a cold day, so the warm soup really hit the spot. I ate every bite! It was savory, lemony, and for $4.95 seemed like a large helping. The Greek salad and lamb skewer were also very good. The Greek salad was what you'd expect, but with really fresh, crunchy veggies - mmm! The lamb skewer was seasoned so well and was a great addition to the salad. Only thing is that I would have liked for the lamb to be sliced just a bit thinner because some of those pieces were quite large and I didn't have a knife. If you're looking for a quick, fresh, tasty meal around CU Anschutz, look no further.
