I could have sworn I had previously reviewed Empourium. I loooove this place. In fact, it is probably my favorite brewery on Tennyson (and there is some stiff competition). The service is always good. I particular enjoy when Austin is working. But everyone here, from the serving staff, to the brewers, to the management, to the owners, is always bringing their "A" game. There is always a new thing or two on the menu. I have never had a bad beer here. But the first beer I ever had, and the one I keep coming back to is the blackberry smoke. It is a lovely sour. Also, in the summer, they have a basil one that I am particularly fond of. The place is dog friendly. Patrons tend to be pretty chill. Check it out if you have not and keep frequenting it if you have.

If you know me, you know I'm no stranger to the Tennyson Berkeley area of businesses. This is one of the premier parts of Denver with a long list of great local spots. I'm ashamed to admit it took me far too long to stumble into Empourium, but they're beginning to climb my personal ranks of favorite Denver breweries!Empourium has been around for years, sort of a hidden gem in plain sight. It's locally owned and operated, with a strong focus on sessionable beers. You'd be hard pressed to find anything above 7% here. And you know what, THAT'S OKAY PEOPLE.To me, the beer menu has a strong sense of tradition. With a few twists on the classics. A solid Pils is easier said than done. A stout with an Italian flare. Multiple IPA's and pale ales that are crisp with an excellent utilization of hops. I'm not a nitro drinker typically, but their Nitro Coffee Blonde is exceptional. The reason we frequent local breweries is clearly for great craft beer. But the sense of community and acceptance here is an added bonus. The ownership and staff are the gold standard when it comes to hospitality and friendliness. I love how they know their regulars, while treating newbies just as well.Kicking myself for not coming here sooner. I'm so glad they can most of their beers, too. So I can always grab something for the road even if I don't have time to nestle up at the bar!

This is a solid brewery in a very lively area. I've been here a few times now and have never been floored by any of the beers, but this brewery was in our hop passport and we were able to get a BoGo beer. I got the tiramisu stout, which I would've expected to be pretty sweet. It wasn't sweet at all, in fact it more reminded me of a porter with its toastiness. Service was super friendly and let our party of four try some tastes before committing to full beer pours.

Empourium is my favorite brewery in the Berkeley neighborhood. Their beer is excellent. The owners and staff are super friendly. And they LOVE dogs. All of that makes this place a must visit!

I came here on a Saturday night and the taproom was busy. I took a seat at the bar and ordered a flight of four beers. I enjoyed three out of four beers. I love schwarzbiers but the one here is barrel-aged and that wasn't to my liking. Their smoked sour is out of this world. First time I've ever had that in a sour. The service was great. Highly recommended to come here.

Nice and cozy brewery in Highlands/ NW Denver area. There is a small parking lot right in front; otherwise, parallel parking is also available. Good variety of beers on tap, including pilsner, IPAs, and sours. We were there on a Sunday afternoon, and there is a food truck on site. There is a small patio for outdoor drinking as well. I'd highly recommend.

This is one of our favorite local breweries. They always have something deliciously hoppy for me and something fruity or sour for my fella. And, they always have something new and fun to try.Their beer names are hilarious. It's always fun to try and name the reference for beers like "Plethora of Pinatas" or "You son of a bitch, I'm in". Everyone that works here is friendly and knowledgeable. They make great recommendations. The space is really great, with plenty of seating. This is a great place to gather a group of friends before a show at The Oriental.

Make Pour Decisions, as they say. Well, that's what they say here. And I'm happy with my decision to finally visit the space. I went on a weekday late afternoon, and it was quiet and a surprisingly great place to sit and work awhile. I enjoyed all three of their IPA offerings. I'm sure the other beers are solid too, but the IPA choices seemed to cover most of what IPA enthusiasts care about. The hazy was especially refreshing. The space is open, feeling industrial yet somehow cozy. A large mural adorns the west wall creating most of the character of the space. There's quite a bit of indoor seating, as well as outdoor patio space. Once the weather improves, I'll be back to test the outdoor space firsthand. Both spaces seem easy to accommodate conversations with friends or working sessions. As a bonus, the WiFi was incredibly good. Staff were beyond attentive. Honestly some of the best brewery staff I've experienced. Again, it was a quiet weekday, so I can't guarantee busy weekends will net the same result, but they really made my experience next-level. Returning would be an easy decision.

I had a good experience on Friday while staying in the neighborhood, parking was tough but it was a quick walk down the road. Lots of low ABV here- which is great because I wanted to try a lot of the beer. I loved the variety and everything tasted great. Beertenders were very knowledgeable. The taproom was full and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I love how they support the other local businesses in the area and had them all listed on their menu. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in the area!

Fun Fact: The brewers at The Empourium Brewing Company want every sip to be memorable. This place remains one of my favorites to make "pour" choices. When I went, I enjoyed a German Schwarzbier dubbed The Nightman Cometh. An easy 4.9% ABV, deceptive based on the color, and a pleasant 16 IBU made this malty delight memorable indeed. Plus, I always love seeing that vibrant mural, enjoying the open taproom, and experiencing the warm hospitality.
