The Eddy

Beautiful, cozy boutique hotel in the heart of Golden. The bar alone is an excellent spot to visit if you're not looking for a place to stay. They decorate at Christmas time and have season drink specials and with good weather it's the perfect spot to sit outside or on the rooftop with a drink! The food is always good and so are the drinks. They have a beautiful rooftop that has a great view, but even the view from the patio is great!!The rooms are clean & inviting. The complimentary breakfast is exceptional! One of the best hotel breakfasts that I have had. We love visiting The Eddy after a hike, for a nice dinner, or even a stay-cation. The Eddy is a great spot!

The setting of this place is awesome! Indoor/outdoor, with a pretty good view. That's why we brought our friends there today ..To then wait more than an hour for 2 grilled cheese and 3 burgers, that arrived without toppings (sauce, pickles, onion, lettuce, etc) and without apology. The server was super rude, and the restaurant wasn't even full on a Sunday afternoon. Bummer.

I love this place for its ambience. The menu and service are ok. Nothing wrong with either but they are not exceptional. The atmosphere is exceptional. Great place to meet friends and hang out.

Unique food menu and decent beer selection. We have been twice and the service was the same both times, waited for someone to take our order and watched our beers sit at the bar while the bartender told our server a story about something going on. Food was good, ordered a salad but got fries, but they were good. The cast iron cook was Yummy! The restaurant is inside a hotel with a new, modern decor.

We stayed here in March as a hotel guest and enjoyed the room. Parking on a weekend can be an issue as there was 2 events going on, and we found one small spot and squeezed in. I was told that if you arrive after 7 on weekends, you get a better chance for parking (uhhh but check in is at 3?).Aside from parking, the room was nice, and if you like Nespresso, they have an industrial Nespresso machine in the hallway with various milk and milk alternatives.Breakfast is included (hence the "resort fee") and there is something for everyone, even vegetarians and vegans! Ask for the breakfast burritos. They're not made fresh in house, but the company that makes it does a good job. Quite tasty.We did have a meal there and it was good. Drinks were even better. Overall nothing bad about the place, but parking is the reason why it's not 5 stars.

To start off with, this hidden gem in golden is still new... but worth the visit! When walking in on a Friday evening, the outdoor patio was pretty busy with people enjoying the food, live music, decor, and drinks. But taking another look around you will notice this dog friendly spot is kid friendly as well. There are large chess pieces and a giant board to play and a cornhole set, all spread out so people can still enjoy the picnic table seating. Not to mention- the adarondake chairs and fire pit are super alluring to sit at so you and your friends can take in the gorgeous views of the Golden foothills. We ordered a few things. My friends loved their warm grain bowls which rotate throughout the seasons and the burger which I didn't even get to investigate since it was gone so quickly. I ordered the roast half chicken which is Chicken Au Jus which was wonderful. The potatoes on the side were nothing special which a small letdown. But the Au Jus sauce and the chicken were cooked perfectly!! This is a great spot to come to following a bike ride up the mountain as it is off the bike trails or to stop in after the dogs get to play at the 8th street dog park right around the corner. We will definitely be back and wish we had found it sooner!

Food was delicious! Highly recommend the trout dip. It was quick and everything tasted great.

Delicious strings and delicious lunch with amazing views. Great service and awesome and new selections. I'm so excited somewhere like this open up and your are in so we add to our date night rotation. We ate the chicken sliders, pretzel, a po boy sandwich and all three were amazing

Food is delicious (apps and BBQ are our favorites), the drinks are inventive, service is friendly - they do get busy though so be ready for that on the weekend, but on the plus side that's when they have live local music which is a great addition. Love the mountain chic vibe - it feels like cool lodge meets gastro pub so it's great for a casual drink or a fun date night. AND super dog friendly so even if yu don't have yours with you, plenty of pups to pet.

Service from Dana was amazing and great! but menu is too limited and boring. Bar food is so unimaginative. Also gluten free food options shouldn't just be to use a gf bun! Atmosphere was festive, interesting drinks but too expensive. Enjoyed the dogs and the cool cocktail glasses.
