The Alley

The green chili quesadilla with roast corn and black beans was fantastic. One of the reasons is the green chili verde. That sauce is amazing. We also bought a quart for $16 to take home.

This place has super nice staff, good food, a nice vibe and live music! What more could you want from a neighborhood pub?

Came here last night after the parade and had a great time with some family. They had some live music which was fun and unique. The place was pretty full and the drinks were reasonably priced and tasty. Would come back here again!

There is just something about this place. It has a welcoming energy that keeps calling me back. The staff are fun, friendly, helpful and attentive. They regularly have live music and if you want to listen to it, but not have it drown out your conversation, there is a patio in the back with a firepit. If you want to be right up front listening and dancing, get there very early because the tables within eyeshot of the music fill up quickly. There are also seats at the bar, but these also go quickly.If you're hungry, there are plenty of food places within a minute walk of The Alley. And if you aren't starving, but just want a little something with your drinks, there is always a food truck in the alley. I had the cheese quesadillas on one of my visits and they were fine. In general it's a fun, cozy, welcoming place to hang out with friends or make new ones.

My headband and I went to the Alley for drinks and food with some friends. The service was quick and everyone from their team would check in on us which was great! My Sunrise Margarita was ok. Tasted like orange juice at the top until I got to the very bottom so I don't think it was mixed very well. My anchors were tasty and I would recommend them for others to try! My husband got this burrito and it was incredibly salty.

Host your private event here!!!! We had my 40th birthday party at the Alley last week and the staff, management and overall experience was A DREAM! Everyone working there was extremely attentive, not only to my guests but consistently kept an eye on me and made sure I never had an empty drink. They supported our AV needs and helped us hook up to their TV screens for a slideshow. They let us bring in our own decor and even assisted in putting the flowers we brought on every table. The food was DELISH, hot and ready the second guests arrived. The owner even had my name and birthday displayed on the marquee out-front. I felt overwhelmed with how considerate, hospitable and accommodating the staff was-- from our first point of contact when inquiring about hosting up until the party ended. I can't recommend this place enough, especially for a special event. Shout out to Mary Riecks for being the epitome of a gracious host and true class act restauranter!

Found this place on a whim and came in post 9 pm for drinks and dinner! They had live music on and it was quite crowded on a Thursday night. Their prices are so much better than what you'd usually pay in the city or neighbourhood. We got a few drinks, I got the mango jalapeño mojito and my friend got the mango mojito - both so fresh and good! I liked that they made mine spicy with some well muddled jalapeños. Also got the mules, I believe they have a variety of mules, everything fresh and you can custom their flavours. For apps we got the Queso, our friends who lived in Texas before talked about how they've never had good Queso in Denver and that this was one of the tastier quesos! We also got some fajitas and tacos, they were alright.Service was great, very friendly server. I highly recommend this place for apps and drinks! The price point is great! And they're open late.

Total disclosure: one of our favorite local artists, Josh Blackburn, plays here every Sunday, 12-3 pm. We love his music and have had the Alley on our list, just to see him live. Lots of folks know Josh as it was crowded but we still found a table pretty quickly. We ordered margaritas (a must for us at any Mexican place) and their Alley enchiladas (one chicken and one carnitas). These are topped with house made pork green chili - we were a yes at house made pork green chili. The flavor? SO good. They know how to make green chili. Slam dunk. Their margaritas were good as well - not too sweet and not too limey. Maybe a little too easy to drink, lol. And the live music?!?!! Now I understand why Josh is here every single Sunday and has a dedicated following (yes, us and others, lol) - the acoustics at the Alley are legit amazing. We were several tables away (like many) and felt like we were stage side. Soooo cool! Need something to do on an early Sunday afternoon? Eat well and enjoy some badass live music. Sundays, 12-3 pm.

So if you study the reviews .. the ppl have more friends than reviews and the good reviews are from over 8 mo ago. My guess it opened and then sold it . Great reviews 2 yrs ago. The rest lag and the only good had drinks .This place is Casa Bonita and Taco Bell have a bastard child. Mexican is the easiest , cheapest , food to create and your food is not worthy.Save your money and go to chipotle which is far better.

We held our "The Night Before" event here before our wedding and it was perfect! They had a dedicated area for us and servers taking drink orders. The food was delicious and they kept it full. I'd highly recommend having an event here! Also, thank you, Mary for everything!
