Just flew in from CA on the way to mountains. Search for taqueria on west side of Denver. This place just off I-70 for nearly perfect rating so figured it lined up. So glad we stopped here. The Al pastor was legit! Everything super authentic Jalisco style street food. Go here. I'll be back in winter!

Unassuming taco truck next to Autozone on Federal. Good prices, quick service, nice salsa bar, and hot and fresh food. I'd come back for the birria and want to try to asada and lingua next time. The tripa and pastor were bland. I wouldn't come back for those. All salsas were good, except for the creamy green salsa. It was bland too.

Growing up in the Mission in San Francisco, I became a burrito snob. My family would always hit up new taquerias and we all had our favorites, which we'd debate furiously. My wife used to make fun of how I'd rant about SF food culture but then when we went to visit my family, I just wanted to eat burritos. El Caña is hands down the best burrito I've had yet in Denver. The only competition were the chimichangas from the sadly closed down Barracudas that also inexplicably had excellent S.E. Asian food.El Caña's carne asada is juicy and flavorful, the burrito has NO RICE, which is often an over-used filler. It's not that rice is always bad, but a lot of taquerias use it to impress you with size to make up for unimpressive flavor. El Caña burritos have sour cream but not too much, avocado, mild cheddar cheese which is an interesting variation. The burritos are perfectly grilled and tightly wrapped so they don't even need foil to hold together while you eat them. The proportions of pico de gallo, pickled jalapeno, etc are all excellent and work together to make a really fantastic package. The fact that the nearby Kike's truck gets so much more hype and business is criminal.

These are my favorite tacos I can't spell but there the birri with consume. Jalapeño on the side looks like she gave me some cactus leaves, can't go wrong!

Great, inexpensive tacos! After stopping at another taco truck and being told it was going to be 45 minutes (which we didn't have time to wait for) we found Taquizas El Cana and decided to give it a try. It was quick and they had a self serve toppings/salsas with small cups outside of the truck, which I appreciate cause I love a lot of extra salsa verde. The tacos were tasty and gotta love the fact that I got 4 tacos for under $10. The dorado taco was my favorite and I also got the asada and al pastor tacos as well. It was a great, inexpensive, quick meal on our way to Red Rock Canyon for a concert.
