Taco Star

This type of Mexican food (Cali style) is one of my favorites. I love a place with really good carne asada. People kept telling me to try Taco Star and I have no idea why I have been sleeping on it, but the other night we finally decided to try it. Got 2 carne asada tacos, one crunchy ground beef taco and carne asade fries. All of the tacos were amazing. Especially with the tomatillo salsa. That one is my favorite. I wish they gave more of it. The carne asada fries were good, but I felt like they lacked something. The carne asada was delicious but I wanted more stuff on top to make it at least seem like loaded. Otherwise, the price is right and the location is close to our house so I will make sure to add this to our taco list of places to rotate. I would go back just for the carne asada.

Customer Service was terrible. Got my order wrong. Some girl with glasses was being rude as I was asking for extra salsa as if it's coming out of her paycheck. Probably won't be back to this location ever again lol

No pictures because I devoured my food too quickly to take pictures. This place is great and it's nice that they're open 24/7. Totally worth the drive if you're craving some late night Mexican food. My go to is a plain cheese quesadilla and a pint of their refried beans. My recommendation is to read the quesadilla into pieces and scoop up the beans with it. My mouth is watering just thinking about how good it is. My hubby usually gets their steak nachos, green chili fries or a burrito and he has always enjoyed whatever he chooses. My hubby and I will absolutely spend our money here again.

It's good. It's Mexican fast food, but better than Del Taco or similar. For the other comments about the food being bland- it kind of was, the salsas were AMAZING and had a ton of heat. I will go back again, and later on the salsa.

I picked up 2 tacos de adobada and 2 shredded beef tacos. Adobada was street taco style on 2 corn tortillas. Shredded beef was fried hard shell. Flavor was good but not great. Great taco Tuesday deal at $2 per taco, if you're on a budget. I wouldn't pay the $3.25+ regular price. At $2, it's a nice deal.

The food was subpar. I ordered the taco and enchilada combo plate. It was bland and the ingredients felt cheap. I was especially unimpressed with the refried beans. The service and ambiance were about average. This is not an out-of-the-way let's try Mexican restaurant.

Super affordable and delicious food. I love this place for comfort food. Their smothered lengua burritos are my favorite. Carne asada fries are also large enough to feed 3 people and taste amazing.

My family loves taco star ! I don't like any of there food period. I have told my family to stop bringing it to me, I throw it a away.No favor , dry. the meat is "chunky" inside of meals . A knife on a hard taco to eat the chicken.Nothing, I have had was inviting , I would rather a meal replacment

Rude rude rude service at the deivw thru order was wrong and they argued about it. If I could give negative review I would -5

My fiancé and I have eaten here several times over the past four years. The prices have been good, the food has been great. Last night, however, we noticed a few changes... the prices have increased, and some of the menu items seem to have changed, almost as if some new management has taken over or something. I ordered an enchilada plate like I always have, with beef. What I received was nothing like the enchiladas I have received in the past. These were corn tortillas filled with grilled vegetables and one single sliver (1 inch x 1/2 inch) of beef. I asked the front counter what was up with this, and he acted like this was the norm. He checked with the cooks, and they all refused to make it right. I gave them their food back and we left. I will never set foot in that place again, and will be sure to let all my friends and acquaintances know that this Taco Star is no longer what they used to be, and that they refuse to remedy their mistakes. If you order enchiladas from this place, be prepared for a heaping helping of grilled vegetables instead, and enough beef inside to feed a goldfish. This used to be a great place with great food. Now it is just a heartbreaking disappointment.
