Skadi's

One awesome food truck! I had their Gaper sandwich (pork belly and slaw on a super fresh ciabatta). One of the best sandwiches ever. They are expensive, but the quality of the ingredients is much higher than your average food truck or chain lunch place.

It seems like every time you turn your head in Denver, there is a new food truck popping up. I wouldn't be surprised if they were growing as rapidly as breweries (the two do complement each other nicely, after all). And with so many new additions to the scene, sometimes it's hard to know which ones will be great and which are a letdown. I decided to take my chance on Skadi's the other night at Strange and was pleasantly surprised. Though Skadi's focus appears to be primarily on sandwiches, the thing that caught my eye was their "Cody Mac" (sauce mornay, roasted carrots & garlic). I love roasted carrots and I LOOOVE mac n cheese, and this was a very good rendition of both. 'Adult' mac n cheese, if you will. The price of $9 seemed a little steep initially, but it was a generous portion and came with a delicious side salad. I would definitely like to try them again the next time I see this truck!

Great burgers! But a little pricey because it doesn't come with anything on the side. How about fry's or some chips ?

The food was fresh with creative flavors. I tried the duck tacos as well as the soft pretzel. The dipping sauces for the pretzel were unique and meshed well with the pretzel. The bacon jam was my favorite!

I don't remember what they called it, but it was a basically a modified BTL and it was one of the best BLT-type sandwiches I've ever had. Also yummy pasta salad and my wife loved the crab cakes. The people eating it next to us for the first time also raved. I felt compelled to review so others could enjoy that bacon y'all!

Just ate at the food truck at Lakewood Ciderfest - I had the Shifty taco and it was the most amazing chicken taco ever (and the fastest)! My husband had the duck and pork tacos and also went back for more. Very friendly service, and I would definitely try the wraps on a warner day, but the tacos were perfect for keeping the chill out. I will definite be looking for Skadi's wherever I see food trucks!
