Arrr, me hearties!I be stoppin' by the Ship Tavern in Denver and laid me hands on the Easy Livin' cocktail. A fine grog it be, with Basil Hayden bourbon, Carpano Antica, Aperol, and chocolate bitters all blended like a true treasure map. Smooth as a sailor's tune and rich as plundered gold, it be a drink fit fer the captain's table. If ye be in these waters, set yer sights on this beauty--it's worth every piece o' eight!Arrr!

The service at this bar was appalling. Located in the historic Brown Palace Hotel, which has been open since 1892, the bar itself has been around since 1934 and is the oldest bar/restaurant in the hotel. Despite its extensive selection of liquor and cozy atmosphere, we were ignored by the waitstaff/hostess. We sat at the bar, ready to order, but were consistently disregarded and received no acknowledgment. Unfortunately, we were unable to try their Espresso Martini, which I had hoped to taste as part of my search for the best one in town.

We had lunch here on Saturday on a whim and had a great experience! Our server was a hoot! He did a great job and kept us laughing the entire time. We loved the nostalgia of this old school bar/restaurant with a ship theme and were impressed with the menu and food. I had the Prime Rib (it was a great deal) and my husband had the Fish & Chips. The Prime Rib was a huge and had great flavor - I subbed out the fries for a salad and I don't know what their homemade vinaigrette is.... But it is amazing. I could drink it, it was so good! The fish was very fresh and a good sized portion as well. We will definitely be coming back and loved dining here!

This is a restaurant in the Brown palace Hotel. We came here after a night out downtown since their kitchen closes later. The staff were friendly and resourceful. The restaurant has live piano on weekend nights. My husband had the clam steamers as appetizer and I tried the chicken cordon bleu. The clams were good, but I've had better. The crust on the chicken cordon bleu was good. But chicken wasn't juicy. And they put the same mustard cream sauce in the pasta as on the chicken, so the dish tasted average and very one dimensional.

Wow, walked in at 9:52 and sat down at the bar for 10 minutes while the bartender ignored me. Someone walked in beside me and he told them they were closed. I asked what time they closed and he told me last call was 9:45. I was one of three people at the bar. Wouldn't have taken much effort to volunteer that information earlier. Staying at the hotel and will be back in future, but not here. 0 effort.

This past week was my third visit to this Denver institution. The service and food is still five stars. I ordered up their delicious fried cod fish with Cole Slaw and a side salad. The cod is fresh and crunchy. The salad is a mixed green. I had a cocktail screwdriver to wash my meal down. The service is old- school excellent. This place is filled with a lot of history, and the nautical theme is cool in landlocked Denver! I am a huge fan of this place!

This is part of the Brown Palace Hotel. It is an iconic establishment and part of Denver's history. I came here for drinks before dinner. I sat at the bar. It was a typical bar experience. I ordered a French 75. The added lemon piece was a nice touch. The service was prompt. The ambience is a tavern - there were many tables fulling dining - there is a full food menu. There is not a ton of bar space to sit at. This will be a must stop if you are in the area just to say you were part of the history!

Ate here when we stayed at The brown palace. Our waiter was pretty incompetent. Never introduced himself. Came to our table after we were sitting there for about 10 min to get our drink order. Came back without our drinks. Got our order wrong it took about an hour from seating to eating. He was about 80 years old. I have no problem with older servers but they have to do a good job too. The food wasn't not good. My prime rib was tough and the mashed potatoes cold. Took another 5 min to get the horseradish. Would never go back.
