PIZZA REVIEW. Scileppi's @ The Old Stone Church has the best New York slice in Castle Rock, hands down. Prices are fair and pie's are consistent.Management, PLEASE offer fresh jalapeño as a topping.

Inside a historic church Good food Great service I would recommend Is Scileppi's the best Italian food I've ever had? No. But certainly better than a lot of other places. Is it pricey? Yes. But honestly, where can you eat out these days that isn't ? If you don't like the prices, don't go. Our server (tall) Matt was awesome!

Disappointed. Not great but lots of it. Went for the first time tonight after hearing great things. Even though we had reservations we were asked if we wanted to sit at the bar. We declined and were seated at a table. Our waitress seemed checked out- she might have just been having a bad day. We assumed bread didn't come with your meal and ordered garlic bread. About 20 minutes AFTER we got our garlic bread we got table bread. The breads were the best part of our meal, however, we wouldn't have ordered bread if we knew bread was included already. Likely, we would have gone for a different app. I ordered chicken parm, which had the appearance and taste of being barilla penne, not impressive tomato sauce, and very processed chicken. Serving sizes are huge, if that makes up for quality some. Our drinks were okay at best. The old church environment was nice. It was loud, probably just due to the natural acoustics. Not a big deal. May have been an off night, but we were unimpressed and won't be back. Say what you will about Olive Garden, but their food, service, and pricing is far better than this place was, at least tonight. Based on other reviews- this may not be the norm

Always immaculately prepared deliciousness! The tortellini was tender, the sauce to die for! Our favorite Italian restaurant!

I don't understand how this has such high ratings. None of the dishes were outstanding. Not one from our whole table. Even my kid's basic fettuccine Alfredo was bland. I had a frutti di mare and the seafood was absolutely inedible. It was overcooked or gone bad. Terrible. Our server was quite casual, tapping me on the shoulder at his own jokes. Not a fan of that. The venue is very cool, but crowded and our table was so sloped. I'm sorry that it's so beloved, but I couldn't find a redeeming quality to it. Even the drinks tasted off.

My friend saw this place on social media so when she came to visit, we went for lunch. We didn't have a reservation but they took my number and said the wait was around 10 minutes. We walked around downtown Castle Rock while waiting. Received the text our table was ready and headed back. Seated in a booth and the server took our drinks order. I chose the linguine with white clam sauce while they had the Stromboli and lasagna. I think they had the Stromboli anyways :) was looking at the architecture and not paying attention. Reservations are recommended, especially if you want to sit in the confessional or upstairs. Since I was here last they've renovated and the Sliceworks section is modern and larger now. The configuration of seating is also different in the church. Very nice. It's always nice when the older buildings are preserved. Server was friendly and personable and the meal good. Both of them liked their dishes and the experience. The linguine was average but the combination of atmosphere and food made it a solid lunch choice. Parking is on the street or you can park in the garage in downtown and walk.

Another fantastic meal at The Old Stone Church.First off, the atmosphere is phenomenal! A converted Catholic Church from the late 1880's that is now an Italian restaurant in Castle Rock. For a romantic dinner, I couldn't have asked for a better venue.I did have a reservation, but as my wife and ai were seated, I did see a few open tables. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and prompt all evening. The drinks and food were outstanding (starter of garlic Parmesan fries, then entrees of Lobster Ravioli for me, Eggplant Florentine for my wife).I had a glass of rhe house Chianti and it went great with my meal. For dessert... a special of Key Lime pie and their rendition of Tiramisu. The Tiramisu was decent... but my wife said her choice was excellent. For a special dinner with alcohol, I was expecting a big bill - but the check was very reasonable. If you are in the Castle Rock area, try this local restaurant out!

Incredibly charming restaurant. I'm happy to see that they have repurposed such a beautiful landmark. The dishes are delicious. We like the mussels appetizer. Their pizza is very good and the pasta dishes are delightful.

The confessional table made for a cozy date night. There's a pretty selective wine list. The menu had some classics as well as dishes with modern twists. Calamari could be drain a little more but still tasty. Pasta cooked to a perfect Al dente. House bread basket was nice & warm. Super friendly staff. Highly recommend checking them out.

Having eaten here many times for dinner, we stopped in for lunch yesterday. Perhaps a little disappointed to not see any lunch specials or portions, I went with the sundried tomato rigatoni, adding chicken, which has become a staple for me here. Like previous visits, it was a large portion with great flavor. My wife, wanting to try something new, got the gnocchi in marinara. This dish was also huge, and after getting part way through it, my wife declared the richness was a bit overwhelming, and to me at least, the sauce seemed a bit underwhelming compared to my dish. My wife agreed. She might get it again on a future visit but would perhaps change to a different sauce if possible. While we waited a long time to initially be greeted after sitting, service redeemed itself and was fantastic the rest of the way. Almost all experiences here have been good, and if you haven't stopped in yet to see the inside of the old stone church, you really should. There are much worse places to eat.
